Posting begins....NOW! -Dialga roar-
The sea spray was light, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and the Pokemon were relaxing. Summers were usually great on Allure Island and today was no different. Echo slumped at the side of the boat and sighed. His paw skimmed off the breeze as his arm hung over the edge of the ship. The ship wasn't huge but it was big enough to have a crew of 10, commanded by Captain Swampert. He insisted on getting to Allure Island as fast as possible, so he took rowing one of the oars. At least Allure Island was close...He had spent 11 hours on this boat, bored out of his mind, with nothing more than a Magby he couldn't even see, a crew of Squirtle and a cheerful rowing Swampert, who had sung sea shanties all the way there. The boat was rather well made, the wood fitted perfectly to sail across the ocean smoothly and the small mast to speed up the process. Swampert was singing now, moving the oar so it just skimmed off the water. Echo had to admit, it was a nice boat. But the journey was so incredibly boring he sometimes thought it would be better swimming here himself!
Swampert looked at the slumped form of Echo, who glared back. 'Some journey, eh lad?' winked the Sailor. Echo grunted and rolled his eyes. 'Don't you worry, son. Allure Island is a beautiful place. Sun, a nice spray of rain now and again, all the fish a Swampert could fish and the Guild...You won't find a better one in Semideus!'. Echo nodded, not really listening. He was more interested in the sea, which was blue and clear. It looked so...refreshing and cool. Echo was hot and sticky, two things he hated. Swampert noticed Echo gazing at the sea and poked him with his foot. Echo slapped him away angrily. 'I wouldn't be jumpin' in there, if I was you, lad' he said, not caring about the rudeness of the young Buizel. 'And why not?' said Echo coldly, a clear dislike in his eyes now directed at Swampert. 'Cause, if you jump in there, you'll be caught by the tide and smashed against the submerged rocks. That's if you're lucky. If not, you'll be eaten by a Sharpedo. Strong ones hang around this island and will eat the first thing they see. Aye, don't jump in there' he said, resuming rowing. The island was close now. In fact, you could see Allure Town from here! The Squirtle were rowing too, grunting and groaning.
Echo grumbled angrily, saying he was a stronger swimmer than some tide and stronger than some dumb Sharpedo. A Wingull flew overhead and landed on the small mast, cawing. Great flocks of them were flying over the boat , gliding on the wind. Echo felt an urge to just Sonicboom them all away but then, he wanted to make a good impression on the locals, didn't he? Despite looking pretty pissed about being stuck on a rather small sailing boat for 12 hours, Echo was excited. Inside, anyway. Being an explorer was his life dream and becoming stronger was his life dream. He spoke and sat in front of the Swampert because it was just about the strongest thing on the boat. He was sure Pokemon on Allure Island would be weaker, especially the locals and natives. Dragon types eating Pokemon? Pfft. He didn't care about the locals, he didn't care about the natives. The only thing he cared about was joining the Slowking Guild. And showing the world, his Mother, this Swampert, that he would succeed! Nothing would stand in his way of becoming a great explorer! Echo just smiled, still slumped on the front of the boat. Squirtle were running across the deck of the fairly small boat, doing odd jobs and rowing. Echo watched them lazily in the sun. He could see the sea-sick Magby now, green in the face. Maybe he is joining the guild too....More competition.
