What's your personal policy on "forget and forgive"?

If you're 100% sure the person has changed and can be trusted again. Trust is hard to gain back though, if you royally fucked up. It takes time. As long as the person is showing sings of regret and is wanting to change then I think everyone deserves a second chance.

Well, if anyone here knows me at all, you know I'm very quick to forgive. And usually the forgetting part is easy, because whatever caused the drama is really not that important to me.

For instance: I can forgive the Aussie for being a cranky old stick-in-the-mud, but usually whatever annoys me about him is quickly forgotten because conflict and drama are just not important to me. Maybe if it was something major, like something in real life that happened, it might be harder. But it's much easier to forgive someone and move on than to hold a grudge and hate their guts till they die.

Staying angry at someone just takes too much time and energy, I'd rather focus on other things.

I think that is best to forgive, but don't forget the issue...

It depends on the severity of the transgression, and what it may show about the person who committed it.
I fully believe in both forgiving and forgetting the minor things. Hell, I even do that with the larger things, if I love the person who did it, because I look at the bigger picture.
...There's some things that just show something in the transgressor, though, that would mean... I wouldn't forget. Maybe forgive, as in, not persecute them for it, but not forget. I'd keep it in mind and be wary.

I'm a believer in forgiving everyone, but if the person has done something to seriously offend me, it takes me a lot to forgive him/her.
