Genesis Falling (IC)
*After Curfew hours*
Let was knelling on the ground breathing in and out heavily. "God....damn...it...Those...Elders..." Punching the ground he wearily stood back up getting ready to run once again from the Enforcers that were coming in on him. Jesslyn jumped down from the rooftop next to him. " Let-sama~ It is time to get going if we are going to escape them..." She smiled at Let who merely brushed her off. " I know, girl... Just...give me a moment...to catch my breath..." As soon as he finished the sentence 5 heavily armored enforcers, equipped with paralysis rounds came onto the roof. " Let Stormbeourne and Jesslyn Hidataki, You are under arrest for the violation of the Curfew set by the Elders. Please come quietly or force will be used." A tiny ghost of a smile formed on Let's lips. " Fuck....You...guys." And just like that Let and Jesslyn jumped off the buildings side down to the musky streets below, to Jump street, where there always is a crowd to get lost in.
-
Sorioku stood peacefully on Jump Street, walking casually a bottle of fresh grape juice, his favorite, in one hand, and nice meat pastry in the other. The hustle and bustle of the crowd seemed to not reach his ears, he was in a serene state of mind. That was until he saw two bodies fly down from the upper level. "This always happens to me." Assuming they were running from the authorities, that means he'd have to run too. "I was having such a good day too..." Finishing the juice and stuffing the pastry, he started towards the two that jumped. "HEEYYY!!!" He said to Let and Jesslyn.

The copper haired girl rushed through the emptying streets towards her house in an attempt to make it home before the authorities found her. Clinging to her sketchbook, she dodged in and out of alleys that lead to her house, ducking into cover to avoid passerby's when they got too close. She'd made it to one of the busiest streets there was at this time of night, there were always people scurrying about on Jump street, and this night was no different. Hesitating just inside the shadows of the alley, she looked for a clear path through the crowds, that wouldn't involve squeezing between people.
Just as she was about to make a break for it, she noticed a rather suspicious pair jump into the crowd from above. She jumped slightly and returned to the shadows, chuckling to herself as she figured they were trying to escape the authorities. Wonder what on Earth they did... They were probably just caught out past curfew, like she was trying to avoid herself. Just then she heard another voice call after the pair, he didn't sound like authority, more like someone running from them. Jeez they must be busy tonight...
She had an undeniable urge to to follow the group and see what happened, besides, it's not like anyone would notice if she stuck to the shadows, right?

Due to the curfew Stahl was forced to spend the night crawled up in a rusted industrial container. Every night he had to hide from the enforcers, every night Stahl saw more and more killed. Those with homes could at least cope with the curfew, they were safe. But the homeless of Khalati… they are free for slaughter. Stahl had seen a vagrants shot down, flamethrowers taken to the hiding places of the innocent. There was so much injustice in this hell of a city.
.
As Stahl positioned himself into a cold and cramped nook of the industrial container he heard a commotion coming from an adjoining road. Quickly Stahl possessed a cockroach and flew round the corner to see what the source of the noise was, he feared authority forces. Through the multifaceted eyes of the insect he saw a young couple fleeing through the hurried crowd pursued by several heavy enforcers. Instantly he remembered his old, distant life, he remembered running from enforcers in much the same way. He would not allow what happened to him to happen to them. He removed his primitive flint and ivory knife from the folds of rags and positioned himself for an ambush...

Let grabbed Jesslyn's hand and quickly turned around, sticking his sheathed sword into the persons throat. When he saw it was just an innocent man he put his sword over his shoulder again and let go of the girls hand. The enforcers looked over the side of the building and shook their heads as the lead one spoke into his wrist. " We lost the two curfew breakers, but now we got the entire street." " Proceed with caution, Commander" the voice crackled in reply. The five of them went down into the stair well to the street below. Let pushed the other guy into one of the nearby alleyways and pulled Jesslyn with him. In the dark alleyway he noticed another girl and cursed to himself. " Hey...sorry can we hide here for a couple of minutes?" He quickly shaped the surrounding light from the signs to make it seem like no one was in the alleyway. Leaning back against the wall he studied the two other people closely.

*Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom*
The sound of music rumbles beneath his feet as he stands near the railing of the VIP section, overlooking the crowd below. His fingers rifle through a wad of cash, hastily counting it, as a cigar hangs lazily from his lips. A handful of celebrities and important people occupy the red velvet couches lining the green/white pinstripe wall behind him. Several young ladies in skimpy clothes accompany them as they sip on expensive champagne.
Theodore Valentine has been successfully running this club for nearly a decade now. The scenario is always the same: open the club early in the day, things are usually slow until the sun goes down, the club gets packed, everyone parties like hell, Theo sends one of his goons to do the rounds, collecting the cash, then, as everyone continues past curfew, the authorities show up and he (Theo) bails out the back.
Tonight would be no different. Curfew is only about fifteen minutes away and the authorities would surely be there like every other night. Some people wonder why they don't just shut the club down for good, but that remains a mystery in itself. Instead, they seem to find it more entertaining to just show up and chase everyone out like rats in a hole. Sometimes they would arrest one of the girls who have a warrant out for prostitution or drugs. None of this ever phased Theo however. With a constant flow of cash, he would just bail the girls out and continue on with business as usual.
-----
Folding the wad of cash, he wraps a rubber band around it and stuffs it into his jacket pocket. Then, he takes a heavy puff from his expensive cigar as his eyes scan the crowd below. Several strippers are working the poles to the entertainment of seedy politicians, mafia dons, and anybody else who is rich and of some kind of importance. Meanwhile, a handful of his goons stand guard throughout the club. Three of them by the front doors, two near the bar, two of them casually walking a perimeter around the main floor, two near the stairway leading up to the VIP section, and three of them in the VIP section itself.
His gaze is distracted by a soft, almost heavenly voice to his right side.
"You get the cash baby?" Theo turns to see Candy Crush, the love of his life and partner in crime, so-to-speak. She stands about 5 feet tall (add 6 inches due to high heels), weighs about 120 pounds, dirty blonde hair, big soft lips - usually coated in some luscious color of lipstick - and big green eyes which are usually hidden behind a pair of big expensive designer sunglasses. "Heeyyy, there's my sexy young thang!" He gives her a pat on the ass while taking another heavy puff of his cigar. Then, he reaches into his pocket and retrieves the cash, holding it up for her to see. Candy smiles in approval and snatches the money from his hand. "Mmm, good boy," she says as her focus turns to the main floor below and her expression changes to a more serious one. "They're here." Theo follows her gaze and, sure enough, the authorities have just arrived.

Lia cringed when the group came towards her, and frowned deeply as she made room for them in the back of the alley, moving herself as far into the corner as she could manage. Now that her hiding spot had been invaded by the three others, there was more of a chance that she herself would be caught out after curfew. Should have just kept going... She mentally scolded herself as she crouched in the darkness. When the light in the alley changed, her brow furrowed, looking on as one of the new people bent the light out of shape. "Hey.. What did you just do?" She hadn't met many people that were different like her, though she knew they were out there.
She clutched onto her book and looked up to the sky, she sighed deeply, wishing that for once she'd just ignored her curiosity and just gone home. But here she was, in a dark alley, after curfew with the authorities just around the corner, and still her curious nature ate at her. She was taught from birth to believe in fate, and so this night seemed like fate knocking on her door, and she wanted to know what Ro had planned for her.
-
Sorioku looked around as he manipulated the light. One with a gift... His partner probably has one too. Better be en guard. He took a mental note. "Soo... I'm glad that you dragged me into your mess..." Like he wasn't going to get into it anyways, but it's better to blame people in exchange for a favor. "...But uh. Where are we gonna go?" He inquired the other three. The little shy girl looked like she was going somewhere, so it'd be best to ask her first. "Where were you going? The one in the corner." He pointed to Lia.
-
Lia jumped as she was spoken to, "I- I was on my way home..." In truth it was an abandoned building she'd taken to when she left home. She didn't have the social skills to maintain a job so there was no way she could afford a place of her own. She made just enough money for food and other necessities by selling her drawings in the market. She peered at the others and let her thoughts escape, "So who are you people anyways?" She thought for a moment and added, "I'm Lia..." It was rude to ask a person's name without first introducing yourself, and just because she didn't like people, didn't give her an excuse to be rude.

Jesslyn looked around at the two others and gently tugged on Let's sleeve before whispering in his ear. " I don't like them Let-sama, They have powers like you but no guardian around. easy prey for the Elders to control." Let looked down at the girl and gave a light smile. " You worry to much idiot. I don't want to get involved with them." He looked at the Shy girl who moved back to the corner to answer her question. " I have a simple gift, like the two of you, I bet Ro destined our meeting..." he then turned his attention to the man. " If you hadn't called out to us we wouldn't have had to get you involved. The normal's would have told the enforcers that some one talked to us, which would put you in trouble." He glared at the young gifted one. " and I am staying here with my Guardian, you two may leave at anytime." He leaned back on the wall and thought about what had happened today, what he and Jesslyn had heard. With a tiny sigh he looked over at them. " Well if the enforcers are still around in about ten minutes wanna come crash at our place? we have the room for you guys." Jesslyn looked at Let with a shocked look before looking down at the ground and muttering something inaudible.
