Vampiric Desires (SilverRain x AnnaWinters)

It was approaching evening as Amanda walked through the streets of the town, She had a quiet and secluded life, so not many knew her. She was a sketch artist and her special ability was that she would be able to perfectly draw anything from memory. Not many knew of this power because she wanted to keep it a secret. If anyone did find out, they would probably over use her power.

Amanda hummed to herself as she continued walking down the street. Just earlier today she came across beautiful scenery from atop a hill and she wanted to draw it. Maybe she could do the sketch in colour even, although colour was a bit more harder. She looked around the streets, wondering what other interesting things she would find tonight. The moon shone in the distance and this made her wonder if the legends were true.

She had heard of supernatural creatures like vampires, werewolves and ghosts, but never had she seen one before. The drawings of those beings were always just sketches. It was at times like these when she wondered if those sketches were real. Perhaps others had her ability as well? But no one seemed to believe them and only thought of them as crazy. Then again maybe that was true. Some legends had been revealed to be fake - a setup to only get money and fame.

Amanda then seemed to hear a sound from the the dark alley to the side of her. She turned in the direction of the sound, wondering what it was...

Alexander sighed as he walked out of the castle, putting on his jacket as he listened to the little sounds around the city. Smirking as he realized his ruby ring did work. The sun would be no problem, at least today he would be safe from it. He was going to be able to hide in plain sight. But today he was just hungry, he needed a new prey. A human who wouldn't be missed.

He smirked as his eyes fell onto a young man, he was obviously the type that wandered on his own. That was why he followed the man into an ally, by then ot was so dark that the moon shone behind him, casting a silver light on his back. He waited for the right moment before he grabbed the man and bit into his neck. His mouth was pressed against the man his neck. He had his eyes closed as the area around his eyes had a dark shadow, making it seem like his face had changed into that of a monster.

When she walked in she would see him, the man in his arms seemed to be frozen as a growl was heard. He was draining the man with ease and it wouldn't take long before he dropped the man and showed his bloody mouth. His eyed closed as the blood gave him energy, tne man lying lifeless on the floor.

Amanda covered her mouth as she silently gasped, shocked and horrified by what she just saw. She remained forzen for a while as she tried to discern whether her eyes were playing tricks on her. But in the end she made her legs run. She fleed out of the alleyway, fearful that she would be chased and then killed in the same way. It was a terrifying sight and she didn't dare look back. But how far could she run anyway before she was caught? The many thoughts and fears that filled her mind made Amanda trip and tumble sideways down a hill. She fell into a dark recess and was momentarily knocked unconcious.

Amanda woke up a little bit later. Her head was throbbing and she was still in a bit of a daze. She was in a hurry to get home, not because of what was chasing her, but so that she could sketch. She pushed herself off teh ground and staggered back to her home. She smiled when she arrived. Her home was a very tiny shop in a lonely street. It was a shop left by her father before he passed away. He was an artist, a painter, whilst she was one who sketched. On the ground floor was the shop and kitchen. A few of her prized sketches were displayed at the window and inside was a simple desk. She offered to sketch portraits of people and it was enough to earn a living, although she wasn't anything famous. Amanda preferred the simple life. On the top floor was her living quarters - a bed, drawing desk and her closet which she emptied out to contain her art materials.

Amanda sighed as she closed the door behind her and walked inside. She hurried to her drawing desk, eager to sketch her memory. It wasn't that she would forget the details because her ability meant that her memory would not fade. But she somehow felt excited at being able to sketch what she just saw. What a strange killing... Who was the victim? Why was he attacked? The sound of a growl echoed in her mind as Amanda sketched.

Her first sketch was of the strange and tall man holding the victim in his arms. Biting down on the neck, not letting blood ooze out. The eyes were closed, but the facial expression was one of hunger or deperation. A hunger to be sated. The victim was unable to move and he was frozen in terror. The body was limp. The tall man seemed to be strong, being able to hold an entire human like that. That growl belonged to the man. The hungry, dominant growl of a predator feasting on its prey.

Her second sketch was of the moment when the victim was dropped to the floor. The other man was now standing tall, proud and sastified. His eyes were closed and it was as if he was bathing in a power of some sort. His complexion seemed to have become refreshed. Blood lined his lips. He seemed to enjoy the scent. The victmi was no more as all life had been drained from him. The man standing tall, bathing in power seemed to be smiling. Sastifed.

When Amanda finished her sketches she gasped again, looking in horror as she realised what she had just finished drawing. A vampire. One who was drinking blood from a human. Back then she was too shocked to even comprehend what she saw and her instincts told her to run. But now she was able to truly see. Amanda gazed at her drawings for a very long time, wondering if what she saw was true.

His hungry growl... the sastified look. They played over and over in her mind. It was a rare sight that she saw and she was somewhat fascinated by it - who would have thought that she was lucky enough to be able to sketch a vampire drinking blood? Well, maybe not lucky. She couldn't let anyone see these sketches because the town might think of her as crazy. Amanda gazed at her sketches again.

No, she could not let such a rare sight go to waste. That growl and sated look... But how could she put it on display without the risk of being treated as crazt? She thought for a moment and then she had an idea. Amanda took a fresh sheet of paper and began to draw. She drew the strong and tall man with eyes closed and a sastified look on his face. But there was no blood and no victim. It was just a sketch of him on the paper. Amanda couldn't help but smile when she finished the sketch. There was perhaps even the slightest hint of a blush.

Next morning, Amanda placed the picture of the man at her shop window. She wondered if she would get any customers today. It had been a while since anyone visited her shop.

Alexander licked his lips as he then looked down at the man, leaning down and closing the man his eyes ''Thank you and I'm sorry... I just needed it.'' he whispered so low that he barely heard himself. He knew that he was a monster and he knew that the others wouldn't like it, they didn't like a weak vampire on their team. And he wasn't weak, no he was a strong male vampire and he didn't want it to change that others feared him. He just knew that he was feared and he liked it that way.

S when he smelled that female scent he was upset for a moment, at least that was until he found her passed out on the street. She obviously was drunk and he knew it would be a shame to have her killed, she wasn't bad looking at all. He moved her hair out of her fae as he leaned down to memorise her scent. Leaving a drop of his own blood into her mouth so he would be able to track her if it happened to be needed.

He had his mind on her at his room, making a few paintings from his memory as he also knew she was around paint a lot. He figured she was a painter herself, stleast that was what the vague emotions told him. The translike state was something he remembered and he figured he could ask for classes or something, he just wanted to keep an eye on that girl. Why? He couldn't even figure that out, maybe it was because he was bored.

The next day he followed her vague and soft flowery scent, his eyes scanning the streets as he walked in broad daylight, making her see him would make her more confused. He smirked as he spotted the painting, tilting his head as he looked at himself. She was a good artist and he wondered how she could draw him so clearly from her memory. Taking a deep breath before he opened the door to her shop.

Hearing the little bell as he held his own scetch and paintbook, mainly of his horse and his family in the ancient times that he had lived in. "Hello?'' he asked as his voice was deep and raw, made to draw a human in and to make women swoon as his grey/blue eyes moved over the paintings, knowing he looked more muscled now that he was filled with fresh blood. His hair shining brightly as his eyes could betray that he was a predator.

Amanda was looking at her sketches of the tall man from last night. She was mesmersised by them and wanted to ask someone about it. yet she knew that there was no one she could ask. She wondered what his name was and what his life was like. And more importantly whether he was real. She could see a few people walk past her shop. Some gazed at her sketch of him but then continued to walk away. Maybe she could go back to that scene tonight and see if he would reappear. Not being able to hold back herself, she began to draw another sketch of him... if only she could see him again, then she could draw many sketches. Her heart beated excitedly at that thought.

The bell of her shop rang and Amanda quickly hid her sketches under her desk. What would people think of her if they saw her drawing vampires? Her eyes went wide with surprise when she sa who had stepped into her store. It was that tall man from last night! He was standing in her shop - he was real! (And he looked so very hot) Amanda blinked again. She couldn't believe her eyes, but he was definitely there.

Wait... wasn't he a vampire? Was this man the same one as last night? He was able to walk out in the sun. Vampires couldn't do that. It could be that he just looked similar to the one from last nigh. Or was it just a plain cold blooded killing. This confused Amanda quite a lot and she was left speechless for a while as she stared at the man in awe.

Then that was when she remembered that he was a potential customer. No matter who the customers were or what they looked like, she would have to treat them with politeness and see if they would like her to sketch something. It must have been quite rude for her to leave him standing like that. She would see what he wanted her to sketch, regardless of whether he was a vampire or not and regardless of last night's incident. If it was him at all.

"Good morning Sir. A kind welcome to my shop. I can sketch almost anything you want be it people, animals or scenery. Additionally, you may have a browse and see if there are any sketches that interests you. My prices are on the board up there and they depend on complexity and size. I can also sketch portraits and poses. A house visit is also possible" Amanda would say in her usual spiel.

She tried to not blush too much at his sexy figure and mesmerising gaze. "Is there anything that you may be interested in Sir?"

Alexander his eyes moved to the sound as he saw all the other sketches of him draining the victim. It was obvious that she had seen him, but he didn't see any problem as long as she didn't tell anyone. That one stretch was quite dangerous but it wouldn't serve a problem when he came over to her more often. He was a strong vampire afterall, he could just learn how to scetch like her. Then his scetches would look much better, he would be able to draw his battles with the lions and tigers is the colloseum. He just needed to get a good story going to convince her that he was a normal human.

"Well actually, I wondered if I could take drawing lessons here? Because my drawings miss the soul and feeling that your scetches have. They seem to be alive, those people seem to breathe and have such... How do i put this? Such beauty and mystery.'' he said as he then pulled out his book and opened it. Showing her a picture of his horse as he knew it looked quite emotionless somehow. Like there was missing something, like it needed more gut that you couldn't put your finger on it.

"I'm Alexander by the way, I wandered past your shop quite afew timed but I never walked n until now. I am more of a longer myself, I get nervous around stunning women like you.'' he stated as he took a deep breath. Taking in her scent as it made his mouth water, wondering if she would be intrigued by him or if she would react more in fear when he talked to her. He was a monster afterall. "But only if you give someone lessons, I just came to ask. I could also just buy the drawing from the window and never return again. It would be as if I never came along.'' he said as he have her a smile. Trying his hardest not to stare at her.

"Drawing lessons?" wondered Amanda. She then looked with curiousity at the man's sketchbook. She really liked looking at the sketchbook of others. It allowed her to see their history and what they liked. Their style was also portrayed through each line. Whether they like to be brief and quick or detailed and careful - it was all shown in the sketches. Sometimes the sketches would reveal things about a person that weren't even meant to be known. She flipped through the man's sketchbook, loving the horses. The time periods he sketched... they were definitely not from now - but instead of looking like a normal art sketch, it looked as if he had been drawing it as if he was there.

So his name was Alexander. What a powerful name. Amanda was a bit puzzled when he said he was nervous. So powerful men were able to be nervous too? Amanda felt that she was always nervous unless she was with close friends and family. His comment of her being stunning made her blush and she didn't really know how to respond. To thank him would sound a bit awkward, so she just smiled sheepishly.

"My name is Amanda. Pleased to make your acquaintance Alexander" she would say confidently. She felt that this man would be a long term customer. "She usually didn't give lessons, but him she would. He had a lot of potential and he just needed that extra little bit of advice from her to make it there. Also, when Amanda heard that he would just buy her sketch and leave, she felt that she didn't want that to happen. She wanted to see him again - he was much more handsome in person.

"I am more than happy to offer you lessons Alexander. My prices are as the market standard. When would you be available for your first lesson? We will need about half a day and we can work out the rest at a later time" said Amanda. She momentarily pushed aside the thought that Alexander was a vampire or murderer. His art was beautiful and it could be simply left to waste. He was a gentleman too (the strong and sexy type). And maybe that vampire was someone else who looked just like him, or it was the work of an illusionist. Either way, Amanda was keen to see more of this man. Professionally that is... somewhat.

Alexander smirked when he heardher heart beat faster, it seemed that she was completely unaware or unbelieving when it came to the fact that she had seen him. As long as no one saw he sketches there would be no problem, he just needed to keep her under the radar. Thag couldn't be so hard could it? He just needed to get her attention so she would look up at him, so she would trust him and never tell anyone about what she saw. He just hoped she would never try to sell those sketches or he would have to show her what he could do before anyone else would find them.

He smiled as he took her hand, making sure he had his gloves on as he kissed the back of her hand only briefly. "The pleasure is completely mine, mylady.'' he said as he pulled back and made a slight bow. "Though I would really like to know what you think of those sketches, I mean some can view them as dark since most of them are from ancient greece.'' he said with a smile, always keeping his fangs hidden. H just needed to gain her attention.

Alexander sighed as he thought about the day and he smiled ''Well, if it wouldn't be too much trouble.. Why don't we start right now? I'm free today...but only if you're free to. It would be a very sad thing if I ignored your wishes. Or may I call you Amanda?'' he asked as he looked at her. Hoping she wouldn't ask about the last painting, the one of his beautiful wife when he was human, Morgana. She was the scetch he had perfected until it was perfect, almost like she was really trapped in that painting.

Amanda blushed deeply and tried to not let her smile become a squee when Alexander kissed her hand. It was only now that she got to look closely at him. He looked very handsome and valiant. Oh and quite huggable too. Something in Amanda made her want to forget all formalities and consequences to just hug Alexander tightly. Maybe it was his astonishing figure. *silent squee*

Thankfully, Alexander's question brought Amanda back to the present. She examined his sketches and noted how others would call it dark. "Dark... that is usually how the present views the past. The present views the future as light. I believe that dark is only a word people use to cover up their mistakes from the past. They try to forget it. In the books I read, it has been said that humans instinctively remember pain more easily than happiness. It a way to survive. I wouldn't say the sketches are dark, but rather they are a representation of survival - a tale long forgotten by many"

Amanda realised that she had been waffling on again. It was a bad habit of hers and she looked away for a moment. She sounded like an airhead didn't she? Amanda flipped through the rest of the sketches and even to the last one, though her mind was busily wondering whether Alexander was married or not. Was he engaged? She would have to try and steal a look at his hand later on. But who was she to hope for love? Throughout her life, Amanda had always been somewhat invisible to the world. She would be just a girl in the background, not noticed and easily forgotten. Even if she knew people, they would just smile at her. She never felt needed or useful, she never belonged. Her potential love interests would be friends with her out of courtesy only. That was why she started sketching. To create a world of her own. To draw people she would never meet.

"Yes, please call me Amanda. I am free to start lessons now. After all, this place doesn't get many customers. How about you take me to a place that you like so that you can sketch it?" said Amanda. She pushed away her feelings of loneliness. She wondered how long this dream with Alexander would last.

Alexander sighed as he pulled out the chain with the wedding rings of him and his wife, looking down at it as he frowned for a moment. Kissing the rings before he put it back away under his clothing before he took the scetchbook again. "Pain is indeed the emotion we remember most clearly.. Maybe we should go to the rosegardens? They are something that hasn't changed over the centuries.'' Alexander simply said.

His eyes were distant as he remembered the moments with his wife, the moments where he was still a human, where he was with his wife. She and him had been a happy couple at leas that was until he had a dept, having to fight in the colloseum and trying to pay back his dept. Though he never had been fortunate enough to be happy, he was about to become a free man when he heard his wife had agreed to marrying the man who had put him in thos cages.

His wife had sold her body to release him and then dying because of an illness. He never had felt so alone and in pain as in the moment that he found out that his wife was poisoned, he never knew the details but he did remember the pain. He then shook his head as his eyes fell onto the other girl ''It's one of the few places without pain.'' he said as he sighed and looked out of the window. "Pain is actually an emotion I know well, maybe we could just stay here?'' he asked with a smile on his face.
