Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader interest check

I'm looking for YOU!
Yes, you, a brave explorer ready to ply the expanse, to expand the fringes of the imperium. To fight the xenos, to bring the light of the emperor to lost worlds.
Are you brave enough?
Are you brave enough to face the peril of the Koronus expanse, a sector of space within the halo stars of the imperium, where man has not yet explored fully, where the xenos are more numerable then men and the dangers are high.
But, the chance for immense profit is even higher, that is why Rogue traders do what they do. Members of rich family dynasty's with access to starships to explore, with enough money to raise armies to conquer and with enough bravery to seek out lost artifacts, both human and xeno.

So what say you? Are you ready to embark on a long lasting journey into the very heart of the expanse, where your actions will shape the fate of the entire sector and those neighboring it.
And what, pray tell will you seek on your journey?
Glory, or gain. Will you spread the light of the emperor to lost worlds? Will you found colonies in the name of your dynasty. Will you wage war to make a profit? Hunt the xenos where ever you should find them, or trade with them for rare pieces of tech? These and many, many more are possible with rogue trader...

So the last interest check i had kinda just failed, so i'm looking for at least 3 more people minimum, and another 5 max. I already have one player who is keenfor this, and he will be playing the rouge trader. People familiar with rogue trader would be preferred and even better if you have access to books. But if you don't it doesn't matter, if you have a good idea of the warhammer universe that will suffice. but all is not lost if you do not, i can bring you up to speed on the world of warhammer 40k.
The level i'm looking for is casual, decent writing and all that.

I'm at casual level and I have an extensive knowledge of the universe yet I know very little about rogue trader itself. My experience of the universe is the tabletop game all the dawn of war games and some of the books "Space Wolf Omnibus" and "Grey knights Omnibus"

I may be interested. I have the Rogue Trader sourcebook and a healthy interest in the 40k Lore. So I think I'd be a decent fit for it. :D

I wonder what sort of chaos-tainted I MEAN UTTERLY FAITHFUL TO THE EMPEROR sort of character might work... muhuahahah...

Damn, if I weren't running an RT game elsewhere i'd leap on this. Sorry.

I am interested. What sort of characters where you looking for, I have a psyker that I never got to play since the game I made him for never properly started, I could play him or make another character if that fit better.

I should note that I am the the person Zedeace is talking about and am currently the Rogue Trader but if anyone else really wants the position I do have no problem stepping aside since there are so very many fun things to do in a Rogue Trader's retinue.

I just want to put that out there so nobody gets disheartened at wanting to be the Rogue Trader but the spot is already taken so they rethink joining the RP.

I have no need to be the Rouge Trader, but it would be nice to get to use a character I made some time back but never got to use, that was for a ouge Trader game that never started.

We should ask Ollumhammersong if he wants to join since so far he has proven he is willing to stick with an RP.

Kablamicus rouge traders in short are people who hold a "warrant of trade" this warrant bassically allows them to live outside the law to some degree, this means they have a higher status then a planetary lord. They explore and expand and can basically be as versatile as can be.
Haguzussaa A psyker character would be fine.
