This roleplay is a alternate history of the mid evil age where the definition of reality is altered. So without further ado I give you:

Who knows what the hell happened to civilization. You could say it started when people learned how to DAA (Dimensional Analysis Alterization). It allowed people to alter the rules of reality. Some shaman introduced it to the society of Ancient Greece. Alexander the Great used this to conquer much of the world; but he was a smart lad. He didn't conjure ultimate weapons of mass destruction, this would cause suspicion. He simply amassed a massive army with the power of DAA.
A QUICK DEFENITION OF DAA
It allows the user to alter the rules of reality (as you may have gathered), allowing the user to slip through a reality "loophole" and conjure and/or do whatever they wish.

A corrupt official of Macedonia witnessed Alexander using the power, and spread the word to the world. The world grew jealous and rebelled against him leading to the downfall of Greece. Although Alexander fled and would play a part in the story later on. People couldn't trust any other people with the power on the loose and people stressed the power to a point where the world went completely a-wall. The world sunk to a realm of limbo between reality and illusion. The power was unusable, as the balance of the world corrupted and lost. Products of people's minds roam the world, people only live by what they once thought of. Plagues, beasts, and horrid nightmares roam free. A hierarchy exists now (More on this in the ooc).
