The King and the Paladdins of Caelum (Love triangle RP)
In the paladdin academy of Caelum there were three students who were close friends, two boys and one girl.
The first boy was of lowly peasant birth. When he was young a travelling paladdin picked him out from a crowd of boys for showing great promise, and he was sent to Caelum Academy.
The girl was of noble birth, the third-born daughter of a Marquesse, who was sent to the academy to learn the ways of the Holy Knights and help protect the kingdom from the forces of evil.
The second boy was the second-born prince of the kingdom of Arx, who, since he wasn't going to inherit the throne, wanted to make a name for himself battling the demons who threatened to throw the land into chaos.
The three friends were insepparable, and formed a bond that neither devils nor gods could break.
Then something happened, the prince's older brother was murdered by demon worshippers who had infiltrated the castle, making the second-born prince now the crown prince of the land. Arrangements were made for this new turn of events. The prince was pulled from Caelum, and betrothed to his female friend from the academy, for he was expected to produce heirs that had both royal and noble blood. Not wanting the three of them to be sepparated, though, the crown prince brought the other boy along, making him a personal bodyguard to the royal family.
There are certain problems with this setup, however. First of all, the boy from lowly beginnings and the daughter of the marquesse are in love. To most of the kingdom this is a secret, but the crown prince, now just days away from being crowned king, knows this. He doesn't mind, however, for two reasons; first of all because he wants his friends to be happy, and second of all because he's actually gay, and is upset at being forced into this marriage in the first place. These things all must be kept a secret, however, or those plotting the downfall of the kingdom may use these secrets to inspire the nobility to rebel.
So that's the plot. I'm looking for free to casual. I can play any part or parts you want, but in any case at least one of us has to double. We'll probably each control several side-characters as well. Mature themes, such as murder, politics, and sex are ok by me, but let's not make this either a gore fest or just pure smut, please.
