History: Kassina is the eldest daughter of Alexistar Montatraeu, eldest of the Montatraeu clan, and lead assassin for the Royal family of Salymara. Born and raised into a family of assassins, Kassina has trained since she was eight years old to continue in her father’s footsteps. In order to complete her training and officially reach the rank of assassin, Kassina must complete a series of ritual trials that have been used to test the endurance, strength, and will of aspiring assassins for centuries. Since her eighteenth birthday, she has managed to pass eleven out of the twelve tests with flying colors. Her mentor, and eldest cousin Silicius has been training Kassina since the day of her eighth birthday, and his lessons are ingrained deep within her memory. She lives by her lessons. The rules laid upon her since the start of her training is her way of life.
The path to be an assassin was not limited to just the training of her body. Kassina has been trained to observe her targets closely; to learn every minute detail of their lives, and desires. Having been used as bait in assassinations in the past, Kassina is not above using her feminine wiles and seductive glances to lull targets into a false sense of security; although she would prefer that it was not this way, she does what she must to ensure the completion of a successful mission.
Personality: Kassina’s true personality is hard to determine, because the young woman herself very seldom reveals it. To her family she is dutiful, quiet, and observant. To those who meet her, she is whatever she feels she needs to be. To men with low confidence, she is flirty and seductive. To women who are jealous, she is humble and naïve. She plays the role for her audience to perfection, and for those who survive an encounter with her, they are often left with a feeling of desperation when she departs their company. The woman herself is quite the loner by nature. She prefers to be in the background, silently observing what goes on around her and using the information to suit her own needs. While she is loyal to her family, she feels isolated from them at the same time. Being a female assassin puts her at an advantage over the males in her family, and at times they often remind her that while she may be deadly, the only thing that makes her deadlier than they are is the fact that she is a woman and capable of deception. Her life's goal is to make her family eat their words by proving that she is more than a pretty face with a sword; that she is deadly because of her skills, not her face.
