The Arrival

The wind blew softly upon the campus as friends, students and colleges chatted happily in an act of reunion and cheer after such a long summer break, the historical, brick walls of the academy all of a sudden shuddered slightly as a light tremor began to embrace the academy's grounds. Many new students turned head in curiosity and worry while senior students and teachers appeared to not give much attention to the increasing intensity of shudder as if they had somewhat became used to such normal events.

The ground shuddered slightly more as the area darkened with shadows and mystery. A slight blue aurora then burst into light from within an empty area as an illusion of light and blue embers began to mess with the eyes of those that watched, as if the world itself was twisting clockwise and warping mysteriously like some sort of anomaly from a sci-fi novel. overall it looked so real, but was is? or just some optical illusion?

The short lasting aurora then stretched and warped itself further to the point where a dark cloud from above began to orbit its center, creating a form of funnel. As this event unfolded a loud whirring sound could be heard before an almighty silence boomed and the silhouette of a teenage girl could be seen appearing from within the portal, her feet floating centimeters off from the ground, a blank expression upon her face. The supposed wormhole then began to break up and collapse, creating mirror images for brief seconds and quickly moving on to evaporate into the air.

The girl, Rae, or otherwise known as "rift"who was wearing a rather cute combination of a long studded blue coat and skinny jeans then proceeded to calmly walk onward from the zone with several books wrapped within her right arm. Moving onward towards the dorms she then randomly stopped and stared before quickly stepping to the right, completely missing a bird dropping as it suddenly splat down upon the position which she was previously standing in. With the same blank look she nodded to herself and continued onward to the dorm, swaying her hips slightly as she did so.

(I feel like crap. Sorry about the takeover stuff)
Mark walked up to the doors of the Acadamy. He walked up to the front desk. "Finally a place where I can feel welcome" He said

Hearing a few rustles behind her, Marina turned, only to see herself but with darker eyes and an evil smirk. She wished that Dark Marina would just leave sometimes. It was so hard dealing with someone who wasn't even there. Her parents always reminded her to ignore the other voice...the other person. Shutting the door, Dark Marina pointed to the dressers. "So, have you realized that there is no one in this room but you? I think Mommy and Daddy bought this room just for you." Marina sighed and returned to unpacking. "Just leave. I really need to make a good impression here. These people are just like me apparently." Dark Marina straightened herself and kept her eyes on her better half. "Oh, so they are all freaks like us. That's nice...you should fit right in." The smirk never left Dark Marina's lips as she slowly faded into the sunlight.

Gabriel sat up in his small dorm that was his alone, and looked over to his clock and then punched his mattress, he was late and now he would never get passed the senior bullies who held him hostage practically every day, as he got dressed the anger began boiling inside him, until he almost could contain it, then he took a deep breath and calmed himself down, after that his slipped into the hall and began walking to the cafeteria, where the students would have lunch, he wanted to get there early and buy his food so they couldnt take his money. Just as Gabriel was about to turn into the hall for the cafeteria he was clothes lined by a huge arm, Gabriel couldnt even think before he was thrown up against some lockers, he knew this bully, a jock who had the strength of 100 guys, he held Gabriel against some locker with a wicked grin on his face, "Well? Got my money today Gabriel? id just hate to have to beat it out of you, might put you in the hospital." Gabriel looked down and said nothing, the jcok pulled back his arm and punched the locker next to Gabriel's head, leaving a massive dent in it. "wheres my money shove? thats your name shove cause thats all that ever happens to you!" Gabriel never spoke he was accustomed to the cold abuse.

(now someone can intervene if they want, if not might have a nice little fight scene.)

It was like any other new school year it seemed for everyone else that attended the academy. People would reunite with their friends that haven't seen over the summer, sharing their stories about their summer vacation. Many didn't seem to make a big deal out of it, because they were only coming back to a place that they've attended for so long anyway.

Yet, that didn't include any new students, such as Taylor and Bryan Donahue. They were both entirely new students to the academy, including they were both brother and sister. Being that it was their first year at the academy, they figured they'd make the best of it for the time being until it was time to graduate. Bryan was already on his way to graduating since he's the oldest and in a higher grade level, leaving Taylor two grades below him. They both knew why they were sent there, because if their special abilities. And, with such special abilities comes great responsibility and some handling. So with those thoughts in mind, it was just to prepare them for what was to come.

Entering the building of the Academy, Taylor eyed the inside of the building for a moment. "Wow, this place is pretty huge.. She thought to herself, her eyes gleaming with amazement just by size of the place. Never seeing a place such as this would amaze about anyone. Being around others of your own kind, kinda. But still, she thought of many possibilities for the entire school year. It wasn't until her thoughts were interrupted by some guy that walked by, pretty much checking her out as he walked. A small blush did come across her face slowly as another thought interrupted her. Shaking away the last eat thought, she soon came back to realization and complete concentration. "Now then, where was I?---Oh right, I was going to find my room." She then said, walking down the hallways to find her room. As she came across the dorm number assigned, Taylor entered her new room, just a bit surprised to see no one was there. She shrugged, managing to drag her luggage into her room without a problem. "Well, I guess I may as well get situated then." She sighed, starting to unpack and putting everything in a place just for herself.

As she was already getting situated, her brother just ventured the hallways, still lugging around his luggage. He was just trying to get himself comfortable in the new environment he'd currently be staying in for some time. He ventured to the main areas of the building, like the classrooms, cafeteria, library, and a few other places. He seemed pretty satisfied with what he saw so far. "A guy could get used to this." He figured out loud. Turning back in the opposite direction, he began walking towards the dorms area. There were rooms with doors open a bit, but not his. "Gah, the hell is this room number?" he grunted, now getting frustrated as his search continued.

Casper trudged up the hallway leading towards his dorm. He didn't want to be here anymore than he wanted to run into a wall headfirst. Well, actually that wasn't such a good example. Casper is an intangible. His head would go straight through the wall, rather than against it. But, his aunt had forced him to come; there was no place for him at home, not anymore anyways. He dropped his belongings onto a bed after finding his assigned dorm room, only to notice that the empty room already held someone else's belongings. (MsKittyCatty?) The room was empty though, and Casper found himself alone in the room with his black jacket hood pulled over his head like it almost always was.

Diana was walking down the hall when she saw Gabriel being beat up by the school bully with super strength. She stood from a far sending a sharp sound through his ear drums causing him to cringe in pain but not burst the inner ear drum. She did not want to go to detention after all. She walked over closer as she saw the bully place him back down. She got up close to his ear speaking seriously and sharply. "If you ever try to pick on another student Mr. Super Strength...you will be lucky if I don't burst your ear drums like this time." She said as she glared at him causing the kid to nod and run off. She looked back over at Gabriel. "Are you alright?" She asked him placing a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. She did care about him. After all he was one of the kids that understood about having to live here. She watched him to see how he would react, hoping it was not in a bad way.

Gabriel looked up into her eyes, "thanks...he'd have beaten the crap out of me." so far few people knew what Gabriel's power was, Diana was one of these people, a few years back she had seen him lift an entire row of bleachers on the football field, Gabriel had a little crush on her, after all she was one of the few girls who ever spoke to him, and she was so pretty, Gabriel swallowed hard, "so um do you want any help with the new students?" he was feeling shy, and if she said no he'd probably go out to the massive field behind the school and destroy parts of, since thats what he did when he was bored.

Gabby noticed Gabriel getting slammed into a locker, but lucky that Diana was there. Gabby walked towards them smiling. "Your okay?" she asked looking at Gabriel. "He is a jerk anyways." she sighed and smiled at Diana. "Hey Di." she nodded to her smiling. "Anyways, what are you guya going to do now?"

Marina let out a sigh of relief as Dark Marina disappeared. Throwing things into drawers, she emptied the last of her things. The door was still shut so she examined the rest of the spacious room. Retreating from the room, she made her way down the hall and down some stairs. As she found herself peeking into open doors, she felt as if someone was following her. Don't worry, Marina. It's just me. Dark Marina wasn't in her full form but floated like a ghost through the dorm right behind Marina. She was back to square one. As Marina peeked into another room, she noticed a girl unpacking her things. A small smile spread across her lips. "Hi! My name is Marina!"

Claire was walking into the school. Well, not really walking. She was on David getting a piggy back ride from him. Her other friend - Which she named beyonce and created from her mind - was holding her bags. They trudged into the school, they arrived after the wormhole situation and started to go in.
A image started to conjure in front of her two-made friends. it was a picture of confusion. They both sighed and replied simultaneously, "We'll just walk around till someone helps us, alright?"
Claire just nodded and hid her face in the crook of David's neck.
"Just find someone that looks nice... Alright?" she muttered. She felt David nod and start walking at a faster pace. Soon, Beyonce and David had stopped at a locker which had a massive dent in it. There were Gabby, Gabriel and Di standing and talking together.
