Westbrook High School IC
The sweet sound of the traffic whizzing by was music to Nathans ears, he smiled as he crossed the road and walked onto campus.
Students ran past Nathan and he slowly opened the front doors, as soon as he entered the students in the hallway turned to stare at him, Nathan smiled as one by one the students erupted in applause,
"Please, please..." He silenced the applauding crowd,
"What happened yesterday was natural, I went in and I let the music fill me up.... Then I destroyed the competition!" Nathan erupted in laughter as the students patted him on the back and jumped over him.
Nathan walked to the end of the hallway to his locker and his phone vibrated in his pocket, he pulled it out and read the text: "Well done on winning BDO hun' I love you xox from mom" Nathan smiled and closed his phone as he filled his bag up with books. He walked down to the gates and sat on the grass waiting for the person he loved, he wanted to break the news of his victory at the BDO street dance championships to Holly and he also had to break the news of his recent offer to move to Marilyn to dance at the Marilyn School Of The Arts, it was all on Holly.
He lay down and stared at the clouds moving, they were beautiful, like dancers of the sky. When he saw the blue sky and he felt the warm air blow across his face, he was free.
Julian walked onto the campus towards some of his mates looking as fresh as ever wearing a pair of new sneakers of which he was proud and like to show off to everybody he met. the phone bleeped and a message was visible on it ''Hey, where were you yesterday'' it was a message from Sarah, a beautiful brunette with deep brown eyes. ''Oh shit'' he thought ''I totally forgot about her when I was a at soccer practice''
''Hey I'm sorry about yesterday, I was busy with something''
''Let me guess, you had no time for me?''
''No, that's not it...I kinda forgot about you''
''What?! You forgot about me?''
Julian sighed as he had no time for girls really, he was as busy as he was already with only his music and soccer team.
''I'm sorry, but I'm afraid it is not going to work between us''
''Why? : ( ''
''Honestly, because I have no time for you''
She didn't reply to him anymore, he frowned a bit and started to continue walking towards his friends ''Hey guys! what's up?!'' He smiled already again while he walked in a group towards the benches.
Solo quickly didn't like the day. As soon as the sun was shining through his window at home, he felt different from the others as they were too. . . buoyant. People were all over the campus, sitting on benches and tables, upon the walls and even some that climbed trees. He sits within the windowsill of his second story dormitory room, overlooking the student body that spent their time outside.
If only it was an overcast, a looming of storms ahead, he thinks. Only then can I have the world to myself.
His hand wanders to his pocket, swiftly pulling out his phone and checking the screen.
Looks like Solomon will be practicing on his own again, today. During French class, of course. A small sigh escapes his lips before he tips outward, a leg pushing off the wall as he does a single flip before he touches the ground where he exits with a frontward roll. No time to waste, then.
It was a beautiful morning, but Amy didn't seem to notice at all as she hurried her way to school, backpack on and her smooth black hair tied back in a familiar ponytail.
"I'm gonna be late! I'm gonna be late!"
She said to herself as she ran down the sidewalk as fast as her feet could carry her.
While Amy only lived a short distance from the school, she had somehow managed to oversleep this morning, and on such a day! What luck...
Relief washed over her when she spotted the great school building resting near the stone sidewalk. She'd made it!
She slowed her running a little to catch her breath, but still not walking.
In all the rush she didn't notice a boy lying in the grass and tripped on him, causing her to fall to the ground. Thankfully, the soft grass took her fall.
After cheer practice holly walked out of the gym and across to the fields. She was walking to her drama class. It was then that she saw Nathan lying on the grass. She ran towards him with a massive smile on her face. She ran over and jumped over him before sitting down next to him. "Hello gorgeous." She grinned looking at her handsome boyfriend. They had been together for over a year and they just kept getting stronger.
Natha felt ran run through his chest as the girl fell,
"That hurt more than it should have, listen, don't sweat it" Nathan saw his amazing girlfriend land on the other side of him,
"Hello beautiful, you're very happy today!" Nathan smiled as her turned towards her, "Listen... Yesterday I won the BDO street dance competitions, which is great but then I got another offer to move to Marilyn.... I don't know what to do" Nathans smile had faded now, he didn't want to leave Holly but the opportunities to move will soon run out,
"I don't wanna leave you but my folks are cracking down for a descision.... What do you think I should do?"
Stuart Price walked from his office and straight down into administration desk and grabbed the intercom system and spoke very calmly into the mic,
"Yesterday one of our own won the BDO street dance championships.... This is nothing compared to the countless hours other people have put in to achieve academic degrees, don't feel like a God Mr Richards because I know what you are like outside of the world of Dance and believe me... If you step out of line once today... I... Will... End your little dream!"
Amelia groaned as she opened multiple boxes scattered on her dorm room floor. She was thinking to herself that maybe she should have unpacked yesterday, but she was simply too tired from the move, and only made her bed and fell fast asleep. But then again, she could've also moved in earlier. With a satisfied ''Yes!'' she pulled the last book she needed from a box and stuffed it into her bag. Amelia stood up straight and hung the bag on her shoulder as she looked around her room. It was still dull. Empty walls, no curtains and no picture frames on the shelves. The only thing personalized was her bed, which she had neatly made up after she woke up. After school, she would spend her time on decorating the place. Amelia shut the window she had opened for some air, and looked outside. She could see students already heading into the building. From her second story room she could even hear some conversations. She put on a pair of black vintage heels, that matched her black blazer over brown blouse and walked out of the door with her bag and keys, almost forgetting the latter. She felt like a freshman, a lost puppy among the big crowds. She even pulled out a map from her bag and studied it curiously. Getting out of the dorm was one thing, finding her class was another.
Solomon perked his ears upon hearing the intercom. He smirks, walking nonchalantly after his little stunt. His stroll turns into long, quick strides and soon he is at a full sprint, aiming at the front of the school. I'll pick up my bag from my locker and do what I do best. Even when full crowds would turn into obstacles, he swiftly evades and maneuvers so as to not cause any accidents while maintaining his gait. He felt his speed was unmatched, and openly challenges anyone that would give him a run for his money.
Holly shook her head. He had mentioned that damn school too many times. That was the reason why when she heard it again her blood felt like it was boiling. "I don't want to help you make such decisions because it would be one purely made out of selfishness I suppose. Look, stop asking me the same question about the school. The fact that your thinking about it over and over again tells me that you want to go though, Nathan." Holly stood up and ran away to the drama class. She didn't want to talk anymore. She had been so happy but now it had been dashed.
"Holly wait..." She was already out of sight,
"I don't understand what just happened" Nathan got up and slowly walked off to dance class, re-running what had happened through his mind,
"What did I say to piss her off" He said quietly to himself.
He arrived at dance class and stopped at the door, he spun on his heels and walked to Hollys next class and peered his head through the door,
"Hey, Miss can I borrow Holly Carter for a second? The Principal needs to see her"
