A woman screamed as a man ran a blade down her arm as she was tied to a chair. "PLEEEAAASSEEE! Stop, please!" The man dressed as a doctor snickered and ran the blade over his hand. "Sacrifices must be made. It is not up to me, it is up to our lords." With that he ran the blade slowly across her neck where a small trickle of crimson ran down. Then he lifted his hand back and his muscles tensed. "You will be my salvation."
Then the rotted door fell off its hinges and a burst of light came into the room. Through the light came a group of shadows. One stood out amongst the rest with a assault rifle and put a round in the chamber. "How about this for salvation." And before the crazed doctor could bring the blade down a high powered round tore through his skull and his blood splattered on the girl in the chair. the man's knees buckled and he fell to the ground, his blade slid across the dirt covered concrete floor. Moments later the man with the rifle had placed it on his back and cut the girl free from her bonds pouring some of his water from his cantine to wash off the blood. "Sorry about that mam, didn't have time to waste on predicting the exit wound. I hope you understand." With a simple nod the woman stood up and fell to her knees weak and unbalanced. "Toroki take care of her wounds. Bruce after he's done offer her a shoulder to carry her out. We need to get her treatment back at base."
Iris cut on a flashlight that was attached to his shoulder. He looked around the room inspecting it. "Seems to be clear, we're going to move out as soon as the girl is patched up. That psycho could have attracted feral demons." Demon activity had went down the last few days after Dante chased the fire demon out of the city boundaries but they were still around. Most of them were feral which meant they had no leadership and tended to be easier to kill but they were still deadly if you didn't keep your guard up. "Man some people just don't know how to handle an apocalypse." He said looking at the body of the crazed man. "Somebody burn this, we can't leave food for the demons." Then he walked over to one of his squad mates. "Hey Elliot, you got anything? See anything coming our way?" Elliot was the team's medium. That meant he could see more than what the rest of them could and nt because he had better eyes, well maybe they were but it was more so due to his ability to see into Limbo. Though the human world had meshed with the world of Limbo it still seemed that there was more than what the naked eye could see.
