Birth Name: Thoran Anders
Alias: Prominence One
Generation: Second Generation Praetorian
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance:Thoran, like all other Praetorian is an epitome, if not surpassing one of human physical prowess. He stands at slightly less than seven feet and weighs in at an impressive 300lb. when out of armour. Though he doesn’t look it, with his relatively slim frame, his muscles have all been honed to the highest possible degree.
Even putting aside his physique and height, he looks quite memorable. He is affected with heterochromia, one of his eyes being crimson red and the other azure blue, making it quite easy for others to remember him. With a light, almost pale, complexion Thoran looks as if he doesn’t get much sunlight, which in a sense could be true. His ethnicity would be hard to place, a mixture of European and Chinese. His head is shaved, though Thoran doesn’t bear any impressive scars from his training or missions. At the least not where people can see them.
His chest and legs are a mess though, after the several close calls. Minor scars stretch from his knees all the way up to his stomach, gifts from a certain “friend” who liked to take pot shots at his crotch. A large scar spans from his right shoulder all the way to his lowest left rib. Another goes vertically down his back from left shoulder to hip. Both serve as reminders to Thoran that, though strong beyond belief, Praetorians are still mortals.
Personality: One of more mentally stable Second Generation Praetorians, Thoran isn’t affected by any obvious instabilities. Outside of battle and unbefitting, some would say for someone of his designation and strength, Thoran is rather easy going. He’s learned to let most things simply go, not taking things too seriously most of the time. The first few times he didn’t, before he really understood his strength, had a few people ending up in the hospital. Not the type to hide his emotions, whether he’s unhappy or excited, it’s quite easy to tell. So despite his large intimidating stature, it could be said that amongst the Second and even some of the First Generations, Thoran is one of the most human. Granted that doesn’t mean he’s easy to get along with, as his personality is almost slacker-like, but at the very least there's little chance he'll snap without notice.
When on duty though, his personality takes a complete 180, his training and A.I taking over. Professional, ruthless and efficient Thoran has learned that emotions rarely have a place on the battlefield. Regardless of how he feels during a mission he’ll keep it locked behind a straight face and finish his task as best as he can see fit. In times of desperation or extreme stress though, Thoran has been known to sink into a cold berserker state. An utter disregard for his own safety combined with the single-mindedness that only wants his mission complete, means a big bad Praetorian.
Biography: Thoran was born to a rare couple, his father one of the First Generation Praetorian that managed to leave service alive, his mother one of the many that worked on the scientific side of the project. His father left service as a Praetorian when he was only 30, a survivor of the mission that wiped out the others of his squad. While the loss was great, their mission was a success, but his father had been too badly injured to continue service. As a result he retired from the military, awarded for his valour and bravery, to lead his own life. That life became entwined with Thoran’s mother after Baldr was scouted out as a trainer for the Second Generation Praetorians.
Thoran was raised as a possible candidate for the Second Generation Praetorians from his birth. The child went through the same enhancements for mental and physical capabilities though having loving parents around him seemed to be enough to ward off any mental corruption that occurred in so many other subjects. Unlike most other Second Generations, Thoran was brought into the program quite late, at the age of 14. Out of his own free will as his childish idealism had been crushed by his father, who had wanted Thoran to understand completely what he was getting himself into, Thoran began his training to become one of the Praetorians.
Despite starting late, thanks to the enhancements and training his father had put him through, Thoran was no weaker than any of the other candidates. Surprisingly, he actually did better than many others, able to think quickly on his feet and out of the box, compared to the by the books method many Second Generations preferred. Sure he lacked a bit of theory and “professionalism” his peers had honed, but he got results. On the side to the standard training all Praetorians went through, his father also taught him from his own experiences. Things that many of the Second Generations had forgotten or just outright ignored. Trusting one’s squad mates and in turn reciprocating that trust. Cold steel over intangible energies. All things that made him different from a Second Gen, but not quite a First.
His first mission came in when Thoran had just turned 18, just slightly over 4 years of training under his belt. The call for reinforcements came in during a subjugation of rebels that had been on the rise on one of the outer rim planets and Thoran was deployed in a test of his abilities and a rite of adulthood. Normally a Praetorian wouldn’t have been deployed, but then again normally reinforcements wouldn’t be needed in bringing down rebels. Thrown into live combat was something even the most brutal of training regiments couldn’t prepare Thoran for. The explosions conjured by artillery, the constant ringing of machine gun fire all mixed up with a cacophony of human voices. Evidently, the rebels were far from being unprepared insurgents, forcing the Imperial Armed Forces into a prolonged siege against their fortress.
Thoran’s mission was simple, infiltrate the insurgent’s base and drop the defense system that prevented the Armed Forces from establishing a foothold. Simple, but not easy. A solo covert operation, Thoran managed to slip under and pass the defense field, during an assault on the fortress that was meant to cover his activities. Whoever was commanding the rebels seemed to have read up on the List though, and Thoran was greeted by a hail of gunfire and troops the moment he stepped foot into the base. Pinned down and losing ground, Thoran and his A.I unleashed all the energy contained in the four Ionized Generators, resulting in the creation of what was dubbed to be an Avatar.
It was a perfect mix of defense and offense, if wasteful. Bullets were stopped in their tracks as they impacted against the energy given form while Thoran ripped through the rebel’s ranks, a literal berserker. By the time the defense system had fallen, many of the rebels were already dead, torn to shreds by the rampaging Thoran. The Praetorian didn’t escape unharmed though, nearly dead from the various injuries sustained by going against dozens of enemies by himself. It would be a long time until Thoran would be able to serve again, but the accomplishment of his mission proved him no longer just a trainee, but rather a fully-fledged Praetorian, complete with his own call sign Prominence One.
It’s been 6 years since that mission and Thoran has returned to active duty many years ago. His mastery over the Eclipse armour has improved and despite his relatively young age, he’s served the Royal Family on many missions. Though not a veteran by any means, he’s no longer green and has long since earned his stripes.

Name of A.I: Shiek-20, Referred to as Sakky by Thoran
A.I History/ Personality: Shiek-20 is the official designation assigned to the A.I within Thoran’s Eclipse suit. Due to Thoran’s more natural behaviour, Shiek is also much more human like than many other A.I. Transferred from the Eclipse Armour onto Thoran’s imbedded PC after their first mission; Sakky has been Thoran’s constant companion over the years. Though A.Is are genderless, Sakky has taken to using a feminine voice when addressing Thoran.
Shiek’s personality is slightly strange in that it is always a foil to Thoran’s. It’s odd for sure, but seeing how it makes for great conversations between the two of them, Thoran rarely cares. Shiek is serious whenever Thoran’s out of missions and operations and described by Thoran as uptight, strict and a no-fun allowed sort of guardian. During missions and operations though, Sakky switches to a more casual and energetic personality, strange as it is. Genki is the best way to describe Sakky as Thoran puts it, and despite how distracting it may seem, Thoran actually finds Sakky’s constant bantering and commentary relaxing and focusing, even in the most stressful of situations.
