The Wrong Side of the Tracks (A Fantasy RP)

Have you heard of the Transcontinental Railway of Sachsen?
Across the entire continent of Orandini, a railway is slated to be built by Lothar Industries. Connecting the east and the west with a great network of trade and prosperity, it seems like a good thing for everyone.
But I'm paying you. To say that 'this will not do', and make sure that it is so.
Discourage, permanently, the construction of this railway.

This will be a fantasy RP set, roughly, the year of the 1800.
- Guns are allowed, but they're the sort of guns that are only useful by massed infantry lines. Swords and cavalry are still used.
- Steam technology is prevalent. But this isn't steampunk. More like pseudo-Victorian era, perhaps toning down the conservative social aspects of the Victorian era. So yeah, women can be independent, but don't expect a good amount of men to treat them fairly.
- Fantasy, so generally, any sort of race is allowed. But all powers of characters are to be defined clearly. (Powers can be added/edited due to the plot or simply as a result of a need for clarification, but do at least make sure I notice and approve.)
