monsta strolls to the end of the walkway leading to his inn. He's heard that a visitor is coming into town today and he must meet this person if he is to ever keep his little establishment in business.
Times have been hard for the Sleeping Monster Inn ever since that new place opened up on the other side of town, and monsta's business helps keep this side of town from resorting to thievery, begging, and the like. In fact, although monsta's inn is small in comparison to the others in the land, it is still bigger than all but the fanciest of inns in the neighboring territories. He grew up here. Learning how to operate and maintain the place from his father.
Well, technically the man wasn't his father, but monsta only saw him as just that.
His father taught him ethics, morals, and how your own pride should come second to someone else's dignity. This is the reason monsta employs the would-be beggars to work at the inn, as well as feeds them, and clothes them.
Unfortunately, monsta's left leg is currently injured, so a stroll into town is going to take him a lot longer than it normally would. He only hopes he can meet the mystery man before he leaves.
