Looking for Anime - Ace?

Alright so I just remembered this anime with ridiculously good music. All I remember was that there were three kids and two robots fighting. Not a big fan of anime but the music was so good.

Also I vaguely remember Ace saying he loved it as a kid. Help pls.

I know literally nothing about it. I've watched all of two scenes and one of them is a fight scene that I watched because it had amazing music.
