Marines of the North Blue 108th Base
Name: Franz Heisenberg
Rank: Chief Petty Officer
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Race: Skyman
Crew Position: The Sniper
Personality:
Franz is an educated gentlemen with a high IQ. He carefully observes problems or what he deems as problems, makes a hypothesis and then attempts to prove a theory with the resources around him. His intellect is also matched by his creative side as his solutions are often quite strange or unusual. Even his approach to problems can be a little unorthodox, but this because he's quite playful.
He hardly lets his anger get the best of him. Ugly emotions like that are usually contained and only let out at the right time. However, when it can't be contained or controlled, its an explosion. Acts of cruelty, and violence tend to be quite a sore subject with Franz and the more he witnesses such things the more he gets closer to his breaking point.
The one thing that is usually on his mind and is surprising not a sore subject is the fact that he has some memory lost. He's knows his name, various subjects, but nothing than more than that. Another thing that would annoy him is being called a Dandy or an insult directed towards his mustache
Appearance:
Franz Heisenberg has a slender frame with pale skin. Attached to his back are small white wings hardly used for flight and two small antenna with spheres on top. Heisenberg also has brown hair, a brunette, and the way it kept is quite curly and messy. No facial swears, but he has a nicely trimmed curly mustache. The color of his irises is a nice bright blue.
If Franz could he would prefer a suit. However, he does wear the typical marine outfit with a cap. His shirt is neatly pressed much like his pants. His belt black, and his shoes nicely polished. On his hands are usually gloves and keep on at all times so that nothing goes wrong.
Skills:
->Sharp Shooter Gunman
Any gun be it a rifle, a pistol, or a bazooka, hell even a cannon is a dangerous weapon in Franz's steady hands. He has an excellent understanding of trajectory, capable of making such calculations in his head for projectiles. Through he doesn't have the agility like other fighters, his reflexes and quick draw can match their speeds. Eye sight is 20/20 .
->Gadgetry Weapon Smith
Franz has a knack for crafting. Give him a tool box, a room, some bits and pieces, and some time, and Franz can make something wonderful, but this involves items anything else, there is a reason he isn't a handy man. Now despite being a man of peace, he really does have a talent for making deadly weapons or developing things that can enhance weapons and a user's skills like a pair of goggles.
->Trap Master
Be it beasts or more intelligent beings, Franz will probably trap it in someway or at some point. He usually takes note of the environment and the weather first, and then will study his attended target from a far (if he gets the chance) to get a good understanding of what he is working with. However, building traps also gave Franz a greater understanding of disarming them, be it either setting them off early or taking out a crucial piece.
Equipment:
-Flame Dial
-Heat Dial
-Axe Dial
-Breath Dial
-Tone Dial
-Water Dial
-Jet Dial
-Flash Dial
-Vision Dial
-Bazooka
-Pistols
-Rifles
Devil Fruit:
Breath-Breath Fruit
-The Breath Breath Fruit is a Paramecia devil fruit and is the type that effects the environment and the user's body. Now what Franz has figured out is that he can breath life into things and cause them to sprout an eye, arms and legs. It also has altered his lungs expanding the capacity of air he can breath in and exhale, making a gust of wind capable of knocking down a man. Now the only items that can be affected are inanimate objects, substances, powders, nothing living or organic matter for that matter can not be effected by his fruit. Items affected tend to follow the commands of the user, being Franz. The how he breaths life into inanimate objects is by blowing into his hands and then touch said item. It's as if he breathing out a piece of his own soul and that's why those items in question come alive. Items smaller than a cannon and barrel, require just one touch. However items bigger than those said items require constant contact.
Fighting Style:
Franz Heisenberg just fights dirty with as many tricks as he can muster.
Backstory:
Being from Skypiea and using dials for various things, for Franz Heisenberg it had been a natural thing for him to think outside of the box. After all one dial can be applied to various different tasks if one were to think about it. Such unique items, Franz always enjoyed tinkering with them creating new items. And through he abhorred violence, it isn't something that could be avoided some times he would craft lethal items, but for defense.
At some point in his life, a wanderlust struck Franz with a side of intense curiosity for the world below his. It wasn't long before he had to leave and explore this world of water. The very first isle he explored was the same one that resulted in him consuming a devil fruit and thus losing the ability to swim. It took awhile to get used the fruit (he still hasn't mastered it).
With no way to swim and no ship, Franz had to explore other options if he wanted to continue exploring. Campus Island, as the natives called it seemed had a volcano, a kingdom, and some kind of naval police force as Franz found out through discussions he had with certain strangers. He volunteered himself for the marines, as reasoned, he had a power, a knack for shooting things, and a skill with traps, such qualities he imagined would be useful to them and they had both ships, an arsenal of weaponry, and lack a desire for death and destruction, which was the biggest positive for Franz.
Name:
Churute "Lance" Kil.
Rank:
Commander
Age:
19
Gender:
Male
Race:
Skyman
Crew Position:
Commanding Officer.
Personality:
A proud and brave man, you'd never find him going back on his word, never fret in heat of battle. He is disciplined and he'll always stay that way. That's not to say that he cannot cut loose, because he can. He enjoys rum and good company. Definitely of the opposite gender. He is well aware that there's a lot on his shoulders, being rather young, but also put into such a position where responsibility is so important. Where every mistake he'd do could lead to disaster.
He likes to try and distract his mind from this, by meditating. Something he does constantly. Channeling spirits, taking on their essence for no other purpose than to clear his own head. He's not a believer in Absolute Justice. Sometimes, good people do bad things, and vise-verse. He's always there to help people out, be it to help a fellow marine out with their training, or to help a civilian carry their groceries.
He speaks with a rather soft tone, he sounds collected, as if nothing worries him.
Appearance:
Tanned- Indian skin.
6'6. Long black hair, usually tied back into a folded-pony-tail.
Brown eyes. muscular build. Always wears a Bandanna of a random color and Aviators.
Has a scar over his eye and a tattoo on his back. Rather handsome. His wings being 0,5 meters long each.
He wears Black-Jeans like clothes with brown leather shoes under his White and blue Vest with it's Navy-Logo, the typcial scarf is tied around his neck.
He wears black leather gloves, and a sheath on his back for WolfBlade. On occasional he wears the Marine-Hat, but that's practically only when some higher ranked officer besides Edward is at base. In a serious fight he usually throws off his vest, as his wings are stuck under it and having his wings being pushed down by the vest tends to get frustrating for him.
Equipment:
WolfBlade:
A Tomahawk given to him by his mentor.
Devil Fruit:
N/A
Fighting Style:
Utilizing hand to hand combat, as well as a the use of his Tomahawk in battle, Lance is a rather powerful melee fighter, able to match most enemies both in strength and speed, using his Torokoharu. The Rokushiki is the more militant form of the Torokoharu.
Techniques:
The Torokoharu allows him to use his technique very varied, and with practice he can learn to call upon and harness the energy of a spirit.
"Tokalaka"
The Defense Of The Armadillo.
He calls upon the thick and hard body of a Armadillo to protect him. He can't move while using the Tokalaka.
"Resku"
Swift Like A River
Resku increases his overall flowing motions, allowing him to dodge more easily, as if he was a floating stream, it can also be used to allow him to strike swiftly. His hits aren't very powerful, and should he get hit his defenses are severely lacking while using the Resku.
"Lekarru"
Flight Of A Hawk
Allowing him to seemingly jump mid-air. He can use multiple Lekarrus in succession.
"Charuku"
Claw Of A Wolf
It enhances his attacks, making him hit both faster and harder.
"Keltu"
Coyote's pursuit.
Enhancing his speed greatly, allowing him to seemingly vanish, before reappearing a short distance away.
"Arsuni"
Strength Of The Ox
Greatly increases his strength, at the cost of agility.
Backstory:
Born on the grand-line, his mother a Skywoman, his father a Marine officer. The latter saved the former from pirate captivity, and they enjoyed a life together. The Marine officer lived on an island called Shiroda in the grandline. There, there was a tribe that had taken care off him and his fellow marines. Giving them food and other necessities Lance's father had gotten orders to set up a base on Shiroda, said and done, taking 8 months to build the 49th base of the Grandline. He befriended the tribe, becoming great friends with the shaman there, the shaman's name was Loshu, Lance's fathers name was Kelur. Kelur learned that Loshu came from another island, originally, that his entire tribe did. That there was a kingdom of their tribesmen in the new world. That without their teachings, the Marine never would've founded one of their greatest combat forms.
When Kelur's first, and only son came into the world, he was brought into the tribe, as was his mother, as Kelur saw it more fit for them to embrace their heritage with the tribe that shared similar traits with the skypeople. However, Kelur took to teaching Lance the importance of Justice. Wanting his son to have the choice to either become the next Shaman of the tribe, or follow in Kelur's footsteps, and become a marine.
Lance was trained by Loshu as a Shaman and in the ways of the Torokaharu. Learning how to meditate, how to keep his cool and how to channel and control the power of spirits. How he could use his own discipline to enhance his strength. He showed great potential as a shaman, Loshu felt confident that Lance could become a powerful Shaman, and that Lance could fulfill Loshu's own dream of seeing the kingdom of their tribesmen. To see the glorious lands of the New World.
At the age of 12, Lance made his choice. He continued training his Torokaharu, but he also joined the marines. Training four years at the base off his home he spent one year at the Marine Headquarters, Marineford. He did several missions on other bases, being sent around on multiple assignments to strengthen his powers and hone his skills.A year later it was decided that his promise and skills as a marine soldier earned him the right to become commander off a base in the North Blue. The 108th base. He would be the commander over a group of marines that had been specially noted, the commodore of the base, Edward Newton would supervise all of his leading moves. It would be his first time leading something this large, managing a branch of a base on an island as big and sprouting as the Campus Island. It would certainly prove a challenge, given that the island is fairly close to the grandline.
Name: Seri Kurikawa
Rank: Warrant Officer
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Crew Position: Musician
Personality:
Seri is someone with a lot of energy who gets up when the sun rises and doesn't stop until deep in the night. Her interests lay with many things, but music will always come first. It doesn't really matter what kind of music as she loves practically every kind. While Seri is energetic she can sit still for hours when she is playing/composing. She is able to completely shut herself away from the world and turn her energy towards her music.
Generally she is a nice girl who likes to be among people, but doesn't mind being alone a lot. Following order is not really her strongest point as she tends to forget them quickly when something else comes along. She is however devoted to her job and likes to do things right. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to people even if it isn't her job to give that helping hand. This often gives her more work then she can handle and often she also tends to forget to whom she said yes. Seri actually never really gets angry, but when she is pissed with someone she generally turns away, rather preferring to avoid any complications over arguing.
Appearance:
Credits to froggy-chan
Seri is rather short, around 1,60 meter. She tends to wear clothes that are a size to big, making her look even smaller. This is because it are the clothes of her older brothers, ones that she reuses. Her hair is a strange shade of blue/gray and doesn't reach much over her ears. Her eyes are light brown. Her build is slim, almost boney.
Normally, when not on duty, Seri wears an oversized white shirt, that practically hides any curve from view and ends just on her hip. Over it she wears a wornout brown jacket with pieces of red material on it from when it has been remade. As for trousers, she tends to wear a simple pair of black ones along with some low brown boots.
In uniform Seri looks overly presentable, her clothes now actually fit. She tends to forget to tie her tie and mostly has it tied around her wrist so that she doesn't loose it. She seems rather fan of the cap and tends to wear it as well when she is off duty.
Skills:
Talented Mucisian, able to play a lot of different instruments. She has an eye for detail and is able to remember songs/tunes etc. right after she hears them.
Equipment:
A Violin, which is used as a gun, and a Bow, this being a rapier.
Devil Fruit:
Madan Madan no Mi (Madan roughly translates to Magic Bullet), a Paramecia Devil Fruit that allows the user to create bullets that can be controlled by a conductor, in Seri's case by her Violin play. The bullets are roughly the size of a normal bullet and glow blue. Their speed and destructive power depend on the ability Seri is using. In general the bullets are just like standart bullets coming from a standart marine gun, meaning they are solid, can get blown away, can not pierce through walls, can be blocked by swords, etc. Also since the bullets are controlled by moved by Seri's Violin play, when the music is stopped the bullet will stop making turns and will just go straight.
For now the bullets can be controlled within a radius of 15 meter. If they fly out of this radius the bullet will disappear.
Staccato: A rapid fire of small bullets that can only travel in a straight line as they are too fast to be controlled properly. Seri can fire up to five after each other before having to "reload". Their power is not that great. They can only travel a max of 7 meter before they disappear just like staccato notes do in a music piece.
Waltz: A bullet with a large range. After it has been shot it swirls around like people do when they dance to a waltz. This bullet is not as fast as the Staccato bullet, but is more nimble and can easily be manovered. Its destructive power is normal. Only one at the same time can be shot and controlled.
March: Confirming with his name, a song with a strong regular rhythm, this bullet moves in short straight lines. Its power is the same as the Waltz bullet, but it moves in short bursts of power along with the rhythm of the music. Only one bullet can be shot and controlled at the same time.
Fighting Style:
Seri's fighting style depends heavenly on agility and concentration. She is someone who prefers fighting from the distance and hit people before they get a chance to get close. While she has a sword she doesn't prefer using it. In some way Seri is afraid to kill people with her own hands. She doesn't like killing an prefers not to even when fighting against pirates. She aims to immobilize them.
When she is forced to fight with her sword Seri is an agile fighter, but her technique is lacking.
Backstory:
Seri was born as the middle daughter in a large family. She had two older brothers and two younger brothers and a little sister, making a total of six children. The Kurikawa family was quite poor and having eight mouths to feed wasn't easy most of the time. But the family abode. Seri always had a feeling for music, ever since she was little. Unfortunately there was never enough money to get her an instrument of any kind. So Seri made little things herself. She used to blow on grass all the time, or on acorn shells and even ended up making little flutes from bamboo. She was this energetic little girl that ran around the island and made everyone laugh. Life was pretty good and got even better when a local musician decided to offer her apprenticeship when Seri was 13. Her family wasn't overly happy with that since being a musician was not a good money making job. Seri went never the less. It was her dream to become one after all.
However due to circumstances Seri's father lost his job and the money flow within the family was drastically cut down and Seri had to abandon her apprenticeship to get little jobs that actually made money. Before she left her teacher gave her a violin since it had become her favorite instrument over time. It became her most loved instrument. A slight opening in the money crises arrived when Seri's parents heard that the marines were recruiting people. Being in the Marines would mean food, clothes and shelter ever day. Since her two brothers already had good jobs, Seri, at that time 16, and her younger brother were send to ease the load on the family. While Seri wasn't always great at following orders she loved being with the Marines. She loved making people smile and immediately joined the music group at the base. It was also at this base that Seri consumed firstly without her knowing a Devil Fruit, thinking it was just some exotic weird tasting fruit. Which it obviously was not.
Unforunately the two siblings were separated during a replacement one year later. Seri was send to the 108th base and her brother to another. They still often send letters to each other and Seri very much longs to see him again.
Name: Truuni Culveri
Rank: Seaman Apprentice
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Crew Position: Apprentice Cannoneer
Personality: Truuni is still quite new to the Marines, and thus very green. She has her training of course, but she lacks precision and gets nervous. Her clumsiness shows in the way of several burn scars and bandages on her person, from accidents and her own experimentation regarding her choice of weaponry. She tries to be as polite and kind as she can, but she can explode if pushed, though she will generally regret it later. She is prone to talking more than she should, and she sometimes forgets important things. She has her own personal views on Justice, likely inherited from her father. She feels that Marines are symbols of hope and justice, while pirates, bandits, rebels, and other criminals should be exterminated. These black and white views fall within Absolute Justice, but she has neither the power or will to emulate some of the most infamous followers of Absolute Justice.
Appearance: Truuni is a little shorter than average in height and thin, if well developed. She is fully grown, and isn’t going to get any taller. Her light brown hair hangs just above her shoulders, and is chopped unevenly. Her Marine cap is figuratively glued to her head, as she sometimes forgets to remove it. She has dark blue eyes and a small round nose. Her right arm and some of her right torso has several burn scars, often covered in bandages. They are starting to heal though, so they don’t hurt too much.
Truuni typically wears the standard Marine uniform: the aforementioned cap, white short-sleeved shirt, long, navy blue pants, blue neckerchief, and black boots. She also wears a pair of black, impact resistant gloves, typically worn by trainee cannoneers to prevent getting too many smashed fingers. When in casual environments, she wears less baggy pants, t-shirts, and sandals, keeping her garb simple.
Skills: Aside from general sailing skills and knowledge, Truuni knows artillery inside out, especially cannons. She is still in training to become an official cannoneer.
Equipment: Aside from the standard issue rifle and sword, Truuni has a hand cannon, usually slung on her back. It fires smaller cannonballs, but still has great destructive potential. It is based off of an old design however, so it isn’t unknown for it to blow up in Truuni’s face. She’s still tinkering with it though, and hopes to make it workable eventually. The main innovation isn’t it’s size, but rather its speed: the fuse is short, and it is lit by shoving a match into a small hole, lighting it from there, rather than letting a long fuse burn, and needing to replace it every time the cannon is loaded.
Devil Fruit: N/A
Fighting Style: Truuni fights with her hand cannon, which is simple in its destructive abilities. It takes about a minute to reload however, along with gunpowder and custom, smaller cannonballs.
Backstory: Truuni hails from the kingdom of Lyneel. She lived in the port town of Myness for most of her life, with her mother and grandparents on her father’s side. Her father was a Marine, and was rarely at home, often out patrolling the Blue. During his visits home, Truuni’s father, Captain Tiller, a man near the top of chain at the South Blue Branch Headquarters, would tell many tales to entertain his daughter. With pirates as the antagonists of most of these tales, she got a very black and white view of pirates and other ne’er-do-wells. Although not pressured any by her father or grandfather, a retired Marine cannoneer, she sought to join the Marines when she reached adulthood. At 16, her father personally took her to the main recruitment center nearby the Branch Headquarters.
She caused quite a stir, being the daughter of such a notable Marine in their corner of the world. Much was expected of her, but she didn’t exactly deliver. She performed at a fairly average level, and although some were disappointed, her father couldn’t be more proud. He hadn’t expected her to follow this course of life, but he would have been proud no matter what. After training was complete several months later, Truuni was stationed at the Branch Headquarters, alongside her father, Captain Tiller Culveri, and many other Marines. She began to seek interest in further training as a cannoneer, oddly enough. Normally, cannoneers were selected randomly or notices were put out when one was needed, so she wasn’t denied. She excelled at the basics, as she had absorbed much from her grandfather’s ramblings.
After taking a short leave, she returned home to her interested grandparents and mother. She spent a few days going over her experiences at the Branch Headquarters and recruitment center. Before she left, her grandfather, the person most interested in her tales, gave her a folder of documents. All of them were ideas for cannons or cannon based weapons. Grandpa Culveri began going over them with Truuni, figuring that she could put them to better use than her. She couldn’t decipher too much of them, but recognized enough to realize that with, a bit of work, she could use, test, and perfect these designs. She returned to the Branch Headquarters with these documents, entertaining possibilities of going over them with her cannoneer instructor as well.
In her free time, she worked closely with Marine blacksmiths and the head cannoneers to try and put one of the designs to use, specifically, a small hand cannon. It took quite some time and convincing, but eventually she had the device to work with. She tested and practiced with it, making modifications when necessary. She had never really put it to use though. Then, one day, a particularly brave group of pirates attacked the base, having banded with another crew, both intent on retrieving the prisoners being held at the Branch HQ. Truuni, however, did little to help, as, do to fear of being in her first battle, she made an extremely dangerous mistake, causing the large cannon she was operating to malfunction, causing an explosion that badly wounded her, knocking her into unconsciousness.
Pirates eventually overwhelmed the part of the base Truuni was stationed at, and ignored largely because she was not conscious enough to opposed them. However, when Captain Tiller heard that her daughter could possibly be dead, he himself single-handedly went to her daughter’s aid, even defeating a pirate who held a bounty on the way. The attack was repelled, the losses accounted for, and the day won. However, Captain Tiller was harshly chastised for his actions. His reckless charge endangered both himself and any who went to his aid. Rather than a demotion, instead, the ‘punishment’ was much simpler. Truuni Culveri was to be reassigned when she recovered from her injuries. After several weeks, the date of reassignment was moved up when it was determined that Captain Tiller was becoming to unfocused due to his daughter, and she was sent to be stained at the 108th Base. There she continued to heal, preforming duties despite slight injuries. She was eventually assigned to one of the patrol Divisions that was mainly stationed at the base, under a certain Commander Lance.
Name: Quas Rodrigo
Rank: Chore Boy
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Crew Position: Chef
Personality: Quas is well-known for his childish antics and active imagination. He is a loud, showy, naive and optimistic ball of sunshine. His energy knows no bounds. While his narratives and monologues may seem like he's just 'playing' marine, Quas is very serious in his duty. When push comes to shove, he knows when to act serious and disciplined like a good soldier. He is easily angered by any injustice before his eyes, but other than that, he's pretty thick-headed if you're a good guy and insult him. If there is one thing he is more passionate about than being a hero, it is his cooking. The kitchen has always been his haven for using his imagination and is filled with memories of his family and home. So should anyone desecrate such an art and setting in any way, Quas loses his ideal of being a hero and would gladly act like the villain.
Appearance:
Quas is a slender teenager with an average height for his age and light-colored skin. He has blue hair that is always messy in appearance and similarly colored eyes. He wears a red cloth around his eyes. It has holes so that he can see, but his peripheral vision is severely limited. His marine neckerchierf is a bit longer than the standard, so it gives off the appearance of a small cape when worn. He wears a white blouse with the marine logo, blue trousers, and black, buckled gloves and boots. He has yet to be issued the official marine uniform and the much coveted cap.
Skills: Quas' cooking expertise is greatly advance. By far he is among the best chefs in North Blue. His sense of taste is also incomparable. He can make the highest quality of food to the most simple dishes. His eye for good ingredients is well polished with experience. Other than cooking though, his ability in other areas are subpar.
Equipment: He has not yet been issued the standard marine weapons, but he does keep a pocketknife and, if given the opportunity, can utilize the various utensils in the kitchen.
Devil Fruit: "None. I'm going to save everyone, even drowning people!"
Fighting Style: Quas is a master of the 'Super Cook!' fighting style that he created with his mother when he was training under her in the fierce depths of their kitchen. It makes use of the various equipment and skills learned in cooking and applying them to fighting enemies.
Dual Pans of Justice!
Having been used to holding and shaking metal cooking pans almost everyday, he can swing them around with relative ease. All he does really is hit people with pans, but his skill in handling them is honed from constant experience of throwing and swaying them about in the kitchen.
Super Duper Sharp Knife Slash / Throw!
There are times when he cooks in the open kitchen, and thus has to portray pretty movements in cooking, particularly with the chopping board and knife. Among all cooking utensils, his skill with the knife is the best. He knows just the right amount of pressure in skinning, peeling, and cutting. Throwing them up and catching them behind his back has become child's play. And throwing them in their proper container is always done with precise aim.
Spices of Repentance!
His all-time favorite when a child and bullying bullies. He has a belt equipped with various spices for easy access when cooking, but when bringing it outside, he can cause his opponent to go temporarily blind, go through numerous sneezes, have them cough wildly for extended periods of time. They may even faint or be rendered immobile from pure pain if they directly get hit in the mouth with his special Spicy Spice of Spiciness.
Punches of Truth, Trust and Tenderness!
Having loved to beat up imaginary bad guys, Quas usually punched the frozen mounds of meat. His mother took advantage of this and had him do so for most of their steak specialties, which were the best sellers. His upper body strength is above average and his punches are strong and swift.
Ultimate Cook!
After months of one failed dish after another, Quas finally invented a power-up that increase his base stats dramatically. Upon eating the dish, he successfully horded off a rare group of thieves that had infiltrated their home. Unfortunately, the effects of it were so strong that his memory was hazy during the actual spell and hours prior of it. He does not remember the recipe. And his mother forbid him from experimenting with the various unique fish and spices after the incident, deeming it too dangerous.
Backstory: Quas was born in Ala Petite Island of North Blue. Despite its name, it is quite a large island that takes pride in its many ranches and farms, making it a great export town. Quas' father was one of the many farmers while his mother was a mere housewife. Being born in such a peaceful island made things such as adventures, pirate vs. marine battles, and heroes from books seem so bold and wonderful. His father's bedtime stories were always of great, superheroes that fought for justice and defeated bad guys with very flamboyant sounding moves.
Quas, being the doe-eyed little boy he was, dreamed of becoming just like those super heroes. During his time helping his mother in the kitchen, the enemies were those dreadful carrots and his knife was his Saber of Ultimate Justice. Helping his father farm didn't leave his mind room for much imagination, so he preferred helping his mother in cooking and frying the Evil von Porkster. His experience and expertise in cooking was further developed when, after years of saving, his father had managed to build the small cafe his wife always dreamed of having.
After a few more years, that small cafe escalated into a renown restaurant that even attracted people from other islands. The village always knew that Quas' mother was a great cook, her son almost of similar level, but they had not expected the dishes to be so delicious and mouth-watering. Unfortunately, their rich business had become a target to a crew of pirates that had been made upon the dawn of the Pirage Age. They were attacked, and though Quas held himself well against the low-rank pirates, he was easily defeated by the numbers... All hope was lost.
That was until a group Marine appeared to save the day! Using their ultra superpowers, they dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil! They easily suppressed the pirates and were rewarded with a free full course meal made from Quas himself. As they were about to leave, Quas was quick to take action. After hurriedly asking permission from his parents - his father agreeing wholeheartedly, his mother not so much - and approaching the group, he requested to join the marines. Becoming a (super)hero had always been his dream, and if there were any such heroes in reality, it were the marines! The idea of such a passionate fresh recruit that knew how to cook was great. He was accepted and is now a chore boy under the 108th marine base. His place of duty is always the kitchen and he has gained a good reputation among the non-marine cooks for his skills.

She is very energetic and also has an excellent memory, which proved to be useful more than once.

Equipment: Log Pose which she took from a pirate navigator a few years ago after defeating him, and while having a rifle and a sword which were issued by the Marines, she tends to prefer fighting with her own special katana, which was given to her by her father.
Devil Fruit: None.
Fighting Style: She uses the Katana often to fight, and rarely fights without a weapon. She also tends to hate shooting pistols unless she has to. When she fights she mainly uses her own power and strength to make the blows with her katana stronger and smoother. She rarely thinks about her hits besides where to hit and how strong, so she is quite fast but also not so accurate. When she uses her fists or the pistol she tries to focus more, as she is less experienced when it comes to fighting with those.
She also uses a style she named "The Dancing Blade" which makes her movements much more smoother and faster, but slightly weaker. It also allows her to block hits, whether they are from swords or bullets, with greater efficency.
Backstory: Amari's story truly begans 12 years ago. She was a young girl who liked going through forests and walk on beaches. She liked to travel in general, making her parents worry about her all the time. One day her mother went inside her room and found a small box, and within the box were quite a few maps. They were hand drawn, and appeared to have a bit of skill to them. They were detailed maps of the beaches and forests, and between all of them Amari covered nearly the entire island, which was shocking for her parents. They decided that such talent shouldn't go to waste and offered her to join the Marines. The girl agreed after a lot of talking, since she didn't like the fact she would need to be more serious.
As she started to train with the Marines, they noticed her habit of walking around and making maps of everywhere. Since the Marines didn't want the pirates to somehow get the maps she created, they decided to give her a special locker to place her maps in, and they protected the locker, making sure the maps will never fall to the hands of the pirates. Amari was brilliant when it came to navigating, so her role as a navigator was sure, but the way she acted made people think about her rank. They kept insisting that a navigator shouldn't have a low rank, but at the same time they couldn't give her a high rank until she learned to behave better.
When she turned 17 and joined a crew, she recieved a katana from her father, who told her he had the katana made just for that day. She accepted it with much joy and started to carry it everywhere she went, making sure the katana is always in a good condition and that she always knew where it is.
During her first couple of years she proved herself to be very useful, making sure her crew and ship stayed on a safe course for a long time. She also created her own charts at the same time from looking at the islands they passed, since she didn't like the maps the Marines had too much. She considered those to be old and a bit useless, and Amari wanted to make sure her crew has the best maps they can have. She also continued to behave the same way, but her crew took a liking to the way she acts, and considered it to be a boost to their motivation.
When she turned 20 her crew and ship ran into a pirate ship that was difficult to sink. The got into a very harsh battle and eventually both of the ships sank, with Amari and 2 more of her crew members being the only survivers. They reached a Marines base nearby and stayed there until they got a transport to their original base. She then continued to study navigation and started to value her crew's life, and the meaning of justice, much more.
At the age of 22, a couple of months before present time, she was transfered to the 108th base, which was in Campus Island. She was transfered because the Marines considered her to be one of the best Navigators there are in this blue, but still wanted to see how will she react to being so close to the grandline.
