(High-Casual) Fiefdoms with a Twist?
Now that I've got your attention, I'd like to propose an idea.
The setting of this is in the 11th or 12th century where there are fiefdoms, only there's one difference. Yep, you've guessed it! This is where the twist comes it. Instead of there being feudal lords, there are feudal ladies. Gender roles are completely swapped and the women are doing what was considered a "male's role" while the males are doing the "women's roles".
Before you start saying I'm some stupid feminist, I need to throw in the plot. As you can imagine, there are a lot of problems with this system. For one, what if a woman got pregnant? She couldn't possibly be a knight and fight in a war with a baby in her tummy. Instincts say that men are the protectors and the women are the nurturers, but this system has been going on too long for them to change it now, or has it?
Some of the men have been protesting the system preventing their "protector" role, and the women are protesting having to fight in a war with a baby in their tummy. Some of the feudal ladies are even being as cruel as to tell the pregnant women to get rid of their unborn children in order to carry out their service.
Our plot will take place in in the land under one specific feudal lady, because I want to simplify it.
I prefer 5+ paragraphs, but will be okay with 3-5 paragraphs.
WAIT!
Before you start sunning off grumbling about high expectations, I'd like to point out that there isn't much that I can do if you don't meet the minimum except complain. I'm thinking of 5-10 people, so if there's a surplus I might actually take the time out of my lack-of-life to pick and choose based on average post length in the past.
HAVE FUN AND JOIN ME IN THIS IDEA!
