Overview:
It is the year 5000.
Planet Earth had become so polluted that graduates of the elite space program and various other select citizens were put aboard a space shuttle and sent to an off world space settlement and to find an energy source that doesn't release carbon or create any ill effects . They left behind an emblem and a promise. When the flying Sol returns so too does the answer. That was 200 years ago.

The population on earth has dramatically decreased, with the pollution killing most and the meteor shower killing more. The generation two and three survivors had been mutated and gained enhanced properties/senses; strength, speed, sight, smell, and hearing. Skin has become hardened and in some cases scaly (Crocodiles haven’t changed since prehistoric times. Apart from being smaller) They do not know the feeling of smooth skin

There are still governments and schools and such but the use of fossil fuels have been totally wiped out and banned. Cities have been decreased to towns. By now pollution has greatly lessened.

Most of the earth is desert like with small areas of forest and jungle. Life is returning.

NOTE: You may either be an Earthling or an ex-Earthling.
Ex-Earthling = You may have a robotic limb. You may be a robot but cannot look human. Robots are imbedded with the mind of the human including memories, personality, likes and dislikes. No taller than 10ft and no smaller than the average human.
Only one character unless you also want to be an earthling and vice versa, (max 2 characters).

So basically a small team will land on Earth with my character who is a researcher/scientist

I am looking for maybe 3-4 guards/soldiers, 1 diplomat, 1 shuttle pilot and 1 co-pilot, 1-2 medics, 1-2 other scientists... As well as a few earthlings.
