I'd call 'em 'shamblers or moaners.

Because before they get all 'bitey', they generally just shamble and moan at people.

Problem is when two dozen bodies start shambling towards you for no apparent reason besides the fact that you're still breathing.

They call them Walkers because Zombies as a pop culture thing never existed in the WD universe, and thus the term 'Zombie' and all of its variations are not in any character's vocabulary.

Also, it's possible and likely Lilly from the game either died or will be in Season 2 of the game. Robert Kirkman himself stated Woodbury Lilly is not Macon Lilly, and that's why the trophy for when Lilly leaves/is abandoned was changed from "Woodbury Bound" to "What now?".
