This Fire Burns, Always OOC
Welcome to Chicago, Illinois.
Where the city is large, the sights are beautiful, and the streets are dangerous. Everyone has heard of the infamous South side, where the gangbangers are plenty and the violence is high. But what about the North side? Oh right, there’s the conflicts between The Family and The O’Connell’s. It’s not as violent or as random as the South Side’s violence, but it’s there, and growing more and more dangerous. Nothing had been stable, but the little stability that was there was slowly disintegrating. No one would ever be prepared for the constant fights between the two.
The History between The Family and The O’Connell’s?
Both syndicates will tell you different stories, but both being territorial and very protective of their own, are just trying to do what is right to keep their own problems in check and make sure there are no casualties in their business. The feud started when Giorgio Amato, the leader of The Family currently, was just a soldier and his father Gerard Amato was in charge. Gerard had a disagreement with Ellis O’Connell, Murphy O’Connell’s uncle, and it ended with a bullet in Ellis’ head. Gerard had shot him after Ellis had pulled his gun on him. It was just a slow starting feud, but after Murphy and Giorgio came to run their respective families.
Giorgio had married shortly after he came to be the Don of The Family, and he had two beautiful daughters. He would do anything to protect his wife and daughters, but Murphy wanted to take something away from him the way that he had had something taken from him. Murphy, having been married prior, and having children of his own, knew what to do. He ordered a hit on the whole Amato family, aside from Giorgio himself. Giorgio, however, had been spending time with his daughter’s when said hit was supposed to occur, and his wife, Elsa, was murdered.
Unable to bear the loss of his wife properly, Giorgio taught his daughters how to protect themselves and as they got older they were inducted into the family they had come to know their whole lives. Murphy, disappointed that the hit wasn’t carried out properly, did something similar with his eldest son. He trained him just as he had been trained by his family before him. And for a single purpose. To take down The Family.
The Problem?
Well, Giorgio and Murphy were similarly thinking. Each wanted to take down their “competition” and had raised up their children to do the same task. Giorgio his eldest daughter, and Murphy his eldest son. They had never anticipated what could have happened… That the two would meet and not be able to carry out orders.
Feeling a bit odd about the whole situation, Giorgio’s eldest daughter turned to her sister for help, only to find that her sister was in a similar situation with a new recruit in The Family. But where things would go from there, no one knew

[I'll break down The Family's people in the next post. Like where they stand and who they are. Names there will be open to change, and if you want to do the O'Connell's family break down feel free.]
Here are my characters:

Nichole Amato
22|The Family|9mm Pistol: The Amato Angel
Cunning. Clever. Bright. Loyal. Protective. Impulsive. Reckless at times. Can be cold. Wears her heart on her sleeve.
Nichole is the eldest daughter of Giorgio and the late Elsa Amato. She loves her family, and The Family, with all her heart because she's always been exposed to them. She is a die-hard daddy's girl and would do anything to please him. She was 8 years old when her mother was murdered, and something in her changed. She still came off as sweet and innocent, but it was then that she felt something in her heart turn cold. Her father began teaching her and her sister self-defense, and once Nichole turned 16 she was taught to shoot a gun, and she was formally given her mother's gun. It was a 9mm pistol that gained the name "The Amato Angel," because it had been used by many Amato women, whether they married into the family or not.
She killed her first man at age 16, and it was then that her father knew that she would be the daughter who would take over The Family in his stead, but he still needed her for one more thing. To bring the O'Connell's to their knees. Murphy O'Connell especially. She has three tattoos. One on each wrist, one reading "Loyalty," and the other "Honesty." The last is a pair of angel wings on her back. Though her father wasn't thrilled with them, he doesn't mind them since most of The Family has tattoos as well.
[I feel restricted putting too much here, so I'm just going to leave this at that.]

Damon Hart
25|The Family|Recruit|9mm Pistol, Butterfly Knives
Loyal. Honest. Smart. Charming. Patient. Cruel. Mistrusting. Sometimes Sloppy.
Damon Hart is a recruit level member of The Family. He was recruited about three months ago, and before he was in The Family, his family had always tried to get in with them, to stay in their good graces. He had been waiting for them to recruit for a long time and was brought in for his obedience to his higher ups and his overall respect to the entire family. The only real trouble with Damon was that he wasn't very much Italian, and most of The Family was at least half Italian. He learned quickly, though, that it meant nothing to Giorgio that he wasn't all Italian because he did good work, even if sometimes sloppy.
He knew that Giorgio's daughters mean the world to him, but it didn't stop him from starting to like the youngest daughter. The eldest was a little too serious for his liking after all, but Giorgio had made it clear one day that he would never let his daughters be with someone he didn't fully approve of, and Damon assumed that from his recruit status that meant him.
