Dawn of Worlds (World Creation Roleplay)
It began with a light, one infinitesimal speck in the darkness. There was nothing... and then there was you.
You came from the other realm, a place mortals cannot tread. You came with others, and you all came with the same intent: To craft a new world, better than the old one, with your deific powers, your will, your goals. Your siblings do not share the exact same vision that you do, but you know this world cannot be made alone. You and your fellow gods agreed to change the void into life.
Around you are stars now, those brilliant heralds of your arrival, and you come closer to a world... the world. Your world. It is time to make your dream a reality. It is the Dawn of Worlds.

Fancy introduction aside: This is a god-based roleplay with some rules. I mean, there's standard Advanced Section roleplay rules, but there's also a brief PDF to give you an idea of how things might work.
The actual plot is as follows: The players are deities from another world, a world they have been forced to flee for whatever reason I decide upon later. They have found an empty realm in which they may create a new world of their own design, but since their powers are limited, they have been working together to create the world. Each deity has their own motives and desires, and they may quarrel, but this world is everyone's creation.
This roleplay would start with a map, a mostly empty map with maybe one or two continents. The world is created in three stages, which are as follows:
- The First Age - The Dawn of Worlds. In this age, all participating members of the roleplay will try and change the landscape of the world, not create races. The map will slowly be influenced in climate and geography according to player choices.
- The Second Age - The Rise of Mortals. The races of the world are easier to create and advance in this age. Here, the seeds of sentience are planted in the world, and mortals are crafted according to their gods' designs.
- The Third Age - The Tumultuous Times. This is the age in which conflict between the races is easiest to conduct. Religious sects begin to form, and civilizations wage war.
Once (if) this roleplay is concluded, there is a good chance of there being a second roleplay based around playing mortals in the world we've created together.
If there is interest in this idea, I'm looking for a cast of 4-6 players. If we get six players + me, I will not play a deity, but instead act as a judge of events and possibly have random things happen. This will NOT be a "First come, first served" roleplay, and there is no such thing as "defeating" another deity. Deities cannot be destroyed. If a player drops out in the middle of the roleplay, another player who isn't playing a deity may create a new deity and take all things "owned" by that deity.
If this sort of roleplay interests folks, here's the PDF. The PDF is required reading if you wish to participate. We may not use these rules tat-for-tat, but... then again, we might. They're simple and easy to understand.
