Alex spends her day within her house as usual contemplating the disappearance of her mother and father. The police had been called in the past week but all trace of them seems to have disappeared completely from the face of the earth. She decides to take a break from reading and pull herself together by taking a walk through the woods nearby. She begins her walk by following a path but then decides to put her knowledge of the forest to use by straying from the path. After a few hours of walking she finds herself lost in the woods but stumbles across a pendant in an old stone structure. She goes into the stone structure and undoes her hiking backpack. She sits down after picking up the pendant and opens her backpack to take out a light source and a few glowsticks. Even though shes lost she feels happier out in nature than she did back in her massive house alone.
After a few hours with in the house she decides its about time to get going to try and find her way back to her house. Alex decides that instead of placing the pendant in her pocket that she would wear it. As she places the pendant around her neck she suddenly gets engulfed in flame and begins to freak out. She realizes after a few moments she was not being burned or hurt at all. She watches in fascination as the flames are so strong that she couldn't see outside the fire. After a small amount of time the fire diminishes and she watches around her to find an open field with a castle in the distance. She takes a few deep breathes to try and calm herself down. She begins to hyperventilate before falling backwards. It seems she had fainted.
Artemis woke up that day, just like any other. he spent an hour on the roof, watching the sunrise, then climbed back in the house to get breakfast and go to school. he sat through lectures and did classwork, then came home. he really didn't care, it was just more of the same routine. he climbed back onto the roof, just like any other day. but today something was different. something glinted on his roof, catching his eye. he walked over to it, kneeling down to pick up the pendant. he walked back to the middle of the roof, laying down and holding up the pendant to the sky. it glinted in the light, and he must have spent longer than he thought looking at it, because when he looked away the sun was setting. he sat up to watch it, and when the last rays of light disappeared below the skyline and the temperature dropped, he went to climb back into his room. it would be hard without both hands, so he put the chain around his neck to free them, and was engulfed with flames. he was startled, and stumbled backwards, expecting to fall off the roof at the last second. instead he landed on grass, and the fire vanished. standing up and looking around, he saw a castle in the distance.
Leon sighed as he looked at the price of the tent, of course it was out of his price range everything was its hard walking through a store when you have no money and you are presented with all these beautiful things to buy. Leon shook his head he had enough of seeing what he couldnt have. He walked to the door avoiding making eye contact with every worker and every customer, Leon walked out the door glaring at the help wanted sign the hung in the window. "Why keep the damn paper up if you arent looking for anymore employees" he said bitterly, Leon knew they probably just didnt want him working there, he didnt care he would find another way to get money. Leon had been shorter then usual on money not even having enough to by fast food. Leon cursed under his breath, he had no clue what he was going to do. He turned off the sidewalk into the forest, the forest always soothed him. Leon's thought process was cut short when he noticed a pendent lying on the ground Leon walked over to the pendent and picked it up he felt drawn to the pendent, Leon looked around for the pendents owner but found nothing, Leon sighed thinking he could sell the pendent for a price but he didnt want to, Leon shrugged then put the pendent around his neck ass he did he was engulfed in flames. Leon was in shock he tried to move but nothing happened. Leon realized he wasnt being burned he started to calm but was confused hell. Leon admired the beauty of the flames but was cut short as he saw himself in a field. Leon saw another he looked as disoriented as Leon "Hey! are you alright alright?" he shouted towards him as he walked towards him a few feet then stumbled as he bumped into something. When Leon looked to see what it was he was surprised to see a girl lying on the ground. Leon moved next to her "hey are you alright?" he said as he shook the girl trying to get her to open her eyes.

Kaladin sat in the main hall looking out at the Teachers, he stood "Friends, here we begin the the new semester here at Dragons Keep, this shall be a difficult year we do not have half the staff that we once had but we shall make due, we always have that is the way of the Dragon Riders, soon the students shall be arriving if not already here, they shall find themselves blocked in the feild by wards and unable to leave, we shall go there and get them shortly we may have to make many runs but it shall be worth it. When they get here we shall show them to the main hall and we shall begin the long explanation as to what this place is and why they are here" he said with a smile. Kaladin knew they didnt have half the staff they used to it was a hard lose but they must work around it, those damn fallen riders had proved a problem and now this schools whole schedule was messed up, he needed to settle who shall be teaching what. Kaladin was stressed but the joy of the new semester kept him smiling.
[I'll leave it up to interpretation which world he's from >.> I was considering modern, but it depends on whether or not Werewolves are acceptable as something in a 'modern' setting in this RP.]
Sheamus was quite thoroughly enjoying a pleasant trek through the forest near his home, something he'd done none too often, once could even say that he was well known among the ambient wild-life, some tended to avoid him, other's liked to follow him around, and occasionally he'd even race or wrestle with things, It was always a fun pass-time. He often spent just as much time relaxing and meditating when out on 'free-time', though today, his little venture through the wilds was cut-short as an unusual shiney object came into his vision, causing him to suddenly skid to a stop, almost clumsily face-planting over a root from the sudden stop. Once he'd righted himself he laid eyes on this shiney little pendant in the shape of a dragon, something that, among other fantastical things, he had a powerful fascination with, and he felt odd compelations as he picked it up to look closer, even letting out a childishly fascinated 'oooooh'.
That was when he heard a Howl in the distance, perking up instantly and peeking up at the sky to find that the sun had begun to go down, quietly cursing himself for going so far without noticing and then turning to head back home, only pausing to slip the pendant around his neck, since he didn't feel like just running off carrying it, nevermind that he forgot about his pockets. He got all of about 5 meters before suddenly noticing that he'd been engulfed in flames, not even having a chance to call for help before it blinded him, and on defensive instinct he transformed as it began to pull him into another world. [not that he knew it yet]
The next thing he knew he was watching the flames disipating from his form, leaving him totally un-harmed, and finding himself looking out over a huge field at a grand castle in the distance, quickly a paw came up to scratch behind his head in confusion "Oh whut the bloodeh Hell? Either I just got drugged with some serious shit or..." He paused, sniffing at a scent he'd caught then turning around suddenly to find 3 other people there, resisting the urge to 'growl at starngers' as he looked them over "Okay, not drugs, magic then, I'm going to assume from your confused expressions that neither of you are responsible for this... But there better be an explanation soon... Oy, Pa's gonna go crazy when he realizes I dissapeared..." He certainly wasn't concerned about whether or not the Trio before him had ever seen a werewolf before, Getting jerked around with magic would piss anyone off and if there wasn't a damn good explanation for this he might end up trying to gut someone to make them send him back.
In an Opposite seat from Kaladin sat Mephisto, with a care-free smiley expression befitting of a hardcore pot-head, perched in his personal little chair that floated loftily inches off the ground, still in a 'proper position' against the table, and in one hand sat a little tea-cup from which he was sipping... something. Then he spoke, his voice had a natural tinge to it that belonged to the slickest of silver tongued snakes, with a distinctly flamboyant tone mixed in."Ah yes, a whole new batch of youngsters for us to mold into fine young examples of dragon riders... hopefully nobody from this group will speed off to their doom trying to make a name for themselves with those afformentioned fallen riders. hmhm, They 'do' have a habit of being terribly stubborn at times, the young ones.... Of course, I'm all kinds of excited to whip out a fresh bunch of 'tests' for them, hmhm, I wonder how many will guess right this time." He giggled quite childishly, ever the devious prankster despite his position, but equally responsible to balance our his childish side.
It was like any other day for Lianne and her siblings, running through the forest catching what they could, some for theme to eat, others for them to sell to the neighboring town. Their laughter echoed through the trees scaring away any quarry, but it was alright. They didn't need any more than what they had already. The girls have caught enough to eat and the boys had hunted enough to sell. Lianne, being right dead center in terms of being a middle child, did both tasks: shooting trout with her bow and arrow for food and foxes for their fur. Most of their catch were brought by the guys while the girls carried the equipment. They were all content with what they had, asking nothing more from their parents even though they have already seen the city and the lives people led there.
Off in the distance Lianne felt something. A tug. One that had been bothering her for the past few hours. She finally decided to tell her siblings to go ahead, telling them that she forgot something. With confidence in her, their eldest brother let her go and she walked along a different path and soon found herself in a clearing. She looked around and there was nothing there. Sighing, she resolved to go back and stepped on something. A pendant with a dragon. At least it appeared to be a dragon. She flipped it over in her hands and saw it glowing. It was pretty but it meant nothing to her, so she resolved to give it to her parents so that they could sell it.
She put it on and walked on, stopping as she saw flames suddenly surround her. She desperately searched for a way out and finding none, she screamed for her family that slowly died down as she realized she wasn't being burned at all. Instead, wonder tickled her curiosity and she tried touching the flames with her finger. Then, her whole hand. Then her arm. Until finally, she stepped out into a clearing. There were people there and a strange wolf-like, human-like creature. Her hands quickly went for her bow and arrow aiming it at the white beast, more because of her reflexes, rather than anything else. It seemed harmless, but who can tell with such a strange, huge thing with menacing looking teeth and claws?
Leon looked up when he heard the voice, "What the hell..." he said as he saw the creature. Leon stood up slowly still standing over the girl that had fainted he saw a girl with a bow "What the hell is this thing?!" he shouted to her hoping she was aiming at this.....thing then him. Where the hell was he? what the hell was going on? and what on earth was this thing standing over there? he thought to himself his mind racing as to what was going on. Leon looked the creature over it seemed like a wolf was there some sort of chemical spill somewhere? "easy there.....thing nothing is going to hurt you just get back" he said to the thing hoping the girl would help him out, he could fight this thing he didnt have a weapon or anything. He was vastly out matched, he had fought before but not against something like this.
Kaladin laughed at Mephisto, Kaladin had been ridiculed for keeping this man on his staff, but Kaladin knew he was a good teacher, granted his teaching methods were odd, but he was a good man, "lets not scare the students until after we explain the situation to them, they will no doubt be confused as hell and its our job to calm them, but after that just dont go too far, i dont want one of our students to be scarred" he paused before continuing "Those bastard Fallen Riders have caused us enough problems for the next few years, once we get this staff problem figured out it should be smooth sailing" Kaladin said coldly, the thought of the Fallen Riders brought back bad memory's, Kaladin quickly smiled to affirm his joy of the new semester.
Cane looked at the plains before him, his next digging site. He checked his watch, "Four... I have until six before Adel comes to get me..." he said. He shook his head, and began his work.
"Nothing..." he said, after about an hour or so. He looked around, and spotted something in a small dirt pile, "Now what's this?" He walked over, and pulled it out. "It's... A pendant... A dragon pendant!" he said excitedly, before hearing Adel's car pull up. "Ahh..." he said, disappointed. He walked into Adel's car, and they drove home in silence.
Cane got out of the car, and rushed up to his room, not listening to Adel's screams or Lupe's(his pet wolf) barks. "Now let's try it on..." he said, before putting the pendant on.
"What the-?" he asked, as he soon gets engulfed in flames of some sort, yet he was still unharmed. Soon, the flames disappear, and he's on an open plain with a castle in the background. "I have, no idea what just happened..." he said silently.
Artemis had stood by silently until now, watching events unfold. when the werewolf appeared, he was surprised, but when the girl pointed her bow at him and everyone started yelling, he decided to take action. he stepped in front of the creature, facing the girl and putting his arms out to the sides. "hold on a second, everyone. he's not attacking us, so let's all just calm down. put the bow down, and we can just talk, alright?" he always tried to protect people, and it was one of the few things he cared about other than the sky.
Cane looked at the werewolf, and tilted his head slightly. "I have a pet wolf at home...." he said, "I wonder how he is..."
He walked over to the werewolf and leaned forward at him, "You don't look to dangerous... But the again, I've never met a werewolf before."
He walked away, and shrugged.
