... I hate this world.
if someone fat is famous then it is a bad influence on the rest of the population, who will think being fat is good, when in reality it isn't.
There are far more 'role models' who set a worse example by starving themselves to be thin. Adele is one artist and she alone won't change the standards of what girls aspire to look like, which for the most part is thinner rather fatter. Overly thin singers enforce this to a stronger degree and I don't think I really need to explain half the problems with eating disorders this can cause. Adele as a rolemodel on the otherhand is more likely to help an overweight child have the confidence to do something, singing or not, or for that matter lose weight to a healthy degree like she herself has done.
I find this opinion(OG) to be one of the few I can't respect.
And I agree with hellis and Shade on this.
EH seen worst.
Adele makes me feel better about myself because she's fat and I'm not, so you go Adele, you keep being fatter than I am.
true, adele isn't the fattest person in the world.
this woman isn't either but dear god she is fugly
In this case i'm totally happy with adele being a chubbawubba. She's open about it and doesn't want to lose weight, that shows confidence. A good role model for kids these days would be someone who's not striving to fit into all the societal expectations and yet be totally cool with themselves.
Because seriously, the western world culture is built in a way that forces people to nitpick every "flaw" they have. That ain't good for mental health, and it's also at least 50% of the reason people develop problems like obesity today.
