The Town At the End of the World -- Apollo Solaris and Kirra
A Town At the End of the World
I have a few RP ideas that would focus on character development and growth. I like to create weird settings to use as a backdrop.
Here is an idea that has been roaming around in my mind.
I would also be looking for a Co-GM for this RP. Let me know if you are interested.
The Town
In a small secluded town in Man's North, Vermont (Made Up) an interesting assortment of people do interesting things. The families that live here can never leave. Anyone who manages to stumble into the town will be stuck here for the rest of their lives, unless they are interesting enough to receive membership to the North.
Man's North is a relatively small town, or at least that is how it presents itself. In reality, there are nearly 400,000 residents. The town has many different "planes" however, and only about 5,000 residents exist in one plane at any given time.
The entrance to the town does not exist in one particular place, which is why there are many people from all different parts of the world who have stumbled into the town.
The Interesting Things
There are many unexplainable occurrences in the town. You're shadow doesn't always follow you, it can rain for months non-stop or even years, but there is never a flood, trees bend and whisper. Cars start themselves in the middle of the night, and every now and then the sounds of a train could be heard as if it were rushing through your house, when there aren't even any train tracks nearby.
Every now and then, an interesting person will be born in the town or simply appear from nowhere. A mayor who never ages, a sheriff who seems to know when you're going to commit a crime before you do, a woman who can see Fairies and persistently tries to catch them, animals that can talk, and so on.
These "interesting people" are brought into the North House Infinite Club, where your membership status depends on how "interesting" you are. An insane Chairmen, who can seem to read your every thought, heads the club.
Our cast of characters can be split between "normal" people and "interesting" people. There are also normal people who live in the town, some secretly afraid of everything that is going on, and others who pretend nothing's odd at all, and maybe some who just accept it. Your character could also be someone who has stumbled into the town unwittingly.
I'm drawing inspirations from various themes with this idea, many might recognize the town as similar to Silent Hill, and hopefully this would make for an interesting and fun RP.
North House Infinite Club
The Club sits on its own plane in the town, which overlying all currently existing planes. Any Member can feel travel between these planes, though no object from one plane, is allowed into another. Even clothing must be exchanged before exiting the Club Manner itself into the desired plane. The club is head by a Chairmen who can seem to know your every thought.
Membership
Membership into the North is not always a good thing. Some do not survive the Interest Evaluation to receive Full or even Partial Membership status. Full Members can venture out into the world for brief periods of time, before the town pulls them back in again. Partial Members are the grunts and servants of the Full Members and are usually treated as low class or insignificant. Regardless, every person who exhibits Interesting Affects must become a Member.
Whether full or partial, Members hold higher status in the town.
Here is the Character Sheet. Italics are for Applicable Items.

Appearance:
Full Name: Ceridwyn "Ceri" Dulciate (Dul-set)
Age: 20
Town Status: Not In The Town Yet
Bio & Personality: Ceri can usually be a very serious person, though she lets lose when she's around her brother. She is hard working and is a no nonsense kind of person. Ever since she learned at a young age that her parents hadn't wanted her, she has been holding a deep anger for them in her heart- though she would say that she really doesn't care about it. She puts up a front and tries to make everything think she's absolutely fine. IN truth, that feeling of abandonment has always made her distrustful of people. She became a writer, publishing a few articles here and there about being an orphan and growing up without parents and providing support for children who are going through what she and her brother had gone through.
Her seriousness mustn't be confused with meanness, however. She is a very kind individual and a very good listener and will try to help anyone she can.
Profession/Work: Writer
"Interesting" Attribute: Ceri has the ability of tactile manipulation. She can make someone do whatever she wants with a touch. She doesn't have to be constantly touching them, however, new orders would require another touch. She can make someone go get her coffee by touching their hand, and they would go do it and she wouldn't have to stay in constant contact. Eventually, her power can grow to where she only has to be within a certain proximity to the target to influence them.
Membership Status: About to be recruited.
