Zombie Apocolypse (DayZ)
This is a thread that will be run very much like a Dungeons and Dragons style, turned based system... I will be Dungeon Master and will give the story lines, I also have here a pair of dice which will be rolled to decide likely hood of what you want to do working, and also the benefit you receive from it.
FOR EXAMPLE... I will roll two dice, the first will depict the likelihood of you opening the cache you want to open. If it is an even number you may open the cache, if it is an odd number you may not... You may wait 3 turns and try again or you may move on if you are unsuccessful... If you are allowed to open it, the loot will be decided by the second roll... The higher the number rolled the better (statistically) the loot. Some items can only be carried once, for example a players primary weapon may be two handed (M4A1 Carbine) this must be dropped for any other weapon... Another player in your party may roll to decide if they can pick up yours in place of theirs. In the roll, a 6 will get you, for the example... A silent AK47 with underslug Grenade Launcher, which will do 50 damage and have 20 defence with a chance to get +10 from the Grenade Launcher, whereas a roll of 1 will get you a hand axe with the stats 8-3.
A story line will be provided through out the game as you progress through a map, which I will be basing on real areas of the world using google earth to plot your movements. Maps are available to find in caches, to help you plot where you want to go... Some areas will have better loot than others.
More ideas will be 'updated' as I go along, but this is the basic plot line. I will explain battle systems and movement systems as we get to them, in a tutorial style manner... Enjoy folks, I'm brimming with plot ideas so let's get started, I need 2 players to complete a Squad of 4, as I will be along for your journey as a host player.

Be prepared, if you die in the game, you can not be "respawned" until the initial game is finished and your teammates are also dead. Players who choose to be older in the game, will have more experience points to buy their initial load out with, but will be slower in game, and have less hit points. These attributes and load outs, however, will not be revealed till the start and you are in, please choose wisely.

Tall and athletic, when Robert isn't working he seems like the average guy and he considers himself as such. His proud and upright posture is a result of his role within his community and he has a strict fitness regime to keep him fighting fit for a shift at work.
It was broad daylight when Robert J. Munz saw the farm, he had been walking for days looking for someone. Anyone. He shifted the backpack that was hung over his shoulder as if struggling under the weight, even though there was nothing inside but the little food that he had managed to find since leaving home 4 weeks ago. Everyone that he knew was one of 'them' now, even his wife. They had been married for 2 years before he was forced to put a hollow-point between her eyes. That gun lasted all of ten minutes after he fled the house in disbelief, only to discover that his wife wasn't the only one lose her mind.
Rob shook his head and cleared his thoughts, "get to the farm", he said to himself as he shot a glance over his shoulder to see if he was alone. It had become almost habit now, he knew they were out there, he just had to make sure they didn't know that he was too. The farm gate was was fastened shut, which was a good sign, and after sliding the lock across and pushing the heavy wooden gate open he made his way to the front door. He knew better than to just assume that it was safe so on his way he stopped to pick up an axe that had been wedged into a tree stump just off the path. He was comforted by it's weight.
