The Babysitter [Undesirable and Somewittyname]
Jamie yawned grabbing the last of his camping equipment from his car and transferring it to his boss’ car. Ellie, the child he babysit since she was a baby, followed the senior high student around the house as he finished grabbing her things and placing them in the car. The blond male leaned against the car as he checked the last text message he got from his ex, a plea from the ex to give him another chance. Rolling his eyes Jamie just turned off his cell phone after a few phone calls and his attention went back to the sweet little red head who was now trying to pull her doll house out of the house.
Chuckling the seventeen-year-old walked over and shook his head as he took the doll house and placed it back inside the four bedroom home
“Sorry cutie-pie, but we can’t take it. You know that.” He smiled picking her up and going to the car. Ellie pouted and looked up at Jamie
“But what about Emma! She needs her house!”
“Well, we is coming with us right? So she can sleep with you or I can make her a bed … sound good?” Jamie asked buckling the girl up in her car seat. Sighing the young girl nod and held her doll close to her chest. The father came out and smiled looking over to Jamie; he had always liked the boy and how he always seemed chipper. HE got along well with Ellie and was even living with them now, almost acting like a wife.
“Hey, we ready?” Jamie asked as he climbed into the front seat. The father smiled and nod as they started to the cabin.
Ellie fall asleep as she usually did and the two males talked, the subject was turned to the son. Jamie had only met the guy once, before he became the live-in babysitter, and faintly remembered him. But Ellie loved her big brother and often Jamie could hear her talking to the guy on the phone. Must be nice to have siblings.
It only took a few hours to reach the cabin but when they did reach the cabin Jamie started to unpack and put Ellie to bed. It was just before sunset and the young man was finishing up dinner. It was nice outside and he liked being out in nature, it was rare that he came out to the woods and when he did he often liked being out as much as he could be.
“He should be here in a few minutes Jamie. Dinner ready?”
“Yeah Nat,” Jamie called back as he washed his hands “I’ll set up the plates and you wake Ellie up. Make sure she washes her hands.” He said before going out back and setting up the table for the whole family.
