Digimon - The Parallel Visage [IC]
He was awake. For the first time in weeks, his master was awake. He ran to his side and knelt, awaiting his orders. When none came, he raised his gaze to his master's face. He didn't seem to notice him - he seemed to be staring off into the distance.
"My lord? Do you need anything?" Silence lingered in the air. Then, at last, he spoke.
"They are here."
His eyes dimmed to black. His servant rose up.
"They? Who are they?" He attempted to rouse his master for an answer and received nothing - he had fallen back into unconsciousness.
He left his master's side to watch the entrance once more. All the while, he wondered: who had his master meant, and why had their presence finally reawoken him?

"You're sure it was here?"
"Positive." The Piximon darted between the trees, eyes wide. The Marineangemon that trailed after her folded his arms.
"Are you sure you didn't imagine it?"
"I can think of someone who deserves that question more. Why don't you go ask him?" She sped forward, noticing the trees thinning ahead into a clearing. Had that clearing always been in this forest? She reached its border and came to a halt. Marineangemon crashed into her, sending them both to the ground. She still grinned.
"Well, well, what do we got here?" She pulled herself out from under Marineangemon and then offered him the blunt end of her spear to help him up. He accepted, muttering a thank you, and stared at the scene before him - four beings, no wings, no armor, dressed in few colors, all apparently unconscious. He then remembered her tales.
"Sister, I think they might be humans."
"Don't tell me you're buying her stories." Piximon flew towards the unconscious group, Marineangemon trailing after her. He lowered beside one of the beings, checking for injuries. When he found none, he looked back to Piximon.
"Do they look like any digimon you've ever seen before?" He poked the being's head.
"There's still the fact that humans aren't part of the digital world. How would they even get here?" Piximon noticed the shiny object sitting on the ground near one of them. She flew down to look at it more closely - it was circular, half black and half white, with a blank grey screen in the center and two buttons on opposite sides of the screen.
"Well, her stories said they're summoned in a time of need by the Digital World." He averted his gaze just as Piximon raised her deadpan stare to him.
"Bro. We live here. The Digital World is NOT sentient. Anyways-" She picked up the object and flew over to Marineangemon. She then noticed another one of the objects near the being's hand. "This one has it too? What are they?"
"May I?" Marineangemon held out an arm. She dropped the object she was holding into his grasp and picked up the other one. What if... As Marineangemon examined the object, Piximon flew up a few feet. The other two beings had similar objects on the ground near them. She grabbed them as well.
"Whatever they are, they each have one." She looked to Marineangemon. "Any ideas yet?" Marineangemon turned over the object, and his eyes widened as he looked at the pattern of dots on the back.
"Sister...this one has the stars of Ebonwumon." He looked up. "Do the others have constellations as well?" Piximon shrugged and began turning over the objects. The stars of Baihumon, the stars of Zhuqiaomon, the stars of Azulongmon. Her jaw dropped.
"Whoa..."
"But how-?"
"Who cares? I bet he'll go NUTS over these!" She grinned. He smiled back.
"He would, yes... at least today wasn't wasted."
"Damn right. And to think you doubted me." She glanced the humans' possessions over. "Think they have anything else?" She shifted the objects into one hand, keeping close to the ground for further "searching" and not paying attention to the humans. Marineangemon was - they were breathing a bit quicker. Waking up?
"Um, sister?"
"Don't tell me you're still hung up on the human thing-"
