Halo: Large scale warfare

Between the Insurrection and the Covenant, the United Nation's Space Command's Defense Force has it's hands full. You will be taking command of elements of either a Marine Expeditionary Force(MEF) or a Naval fleet. Political events and moments of downtime will offer character development, but otherwise, the majority of the posting will consist of commanding and controlling your unit.


As hinted before, we will be fighting both human and alien forces. Initially we'll only be fighting local rebels, mostly be to get people adjusted/connected to the RP, but once we're all situated we'll move onto fighting the Covenant. The Human-Promethean war is up for debate, mostly whether or not we should play it out.


The enemy, the weather, the unit's morale and other factors will be determined by me. I will be presenting you the situation(i.e. the enemy, their movement, the setting, etc) and you will be presenting the solution. Units will vary from person to person depending on their personal preference/request, history and branch(Navy/Marines).


(This isn't as fleshed out as I would like it to be[in terms of telling you what the whole thing will be about, what you can expect, etc] but I'm hoping you'll overlook that fact it's in the morning and I'm still trying to remember my name.)

I may be interested in being a fleet admiral if that is acceptable?

Fleet Admiral maybe too high of a rank, would you be fine with just being a Rear Admiral?

I would perhaps be happy to be either an Individual Ship Captian or a Commander of a small Picket fleet. Though I may also create a ground squad if needed. All depends on the popularity and the plot you have planned.

The plot is pretty simple, just that there'll be a lot of stories going on at once. I'm hoping to get some more interest though before I go into detail about the first 'campaign' we'll have. I want to see first whether or not I should even bother and how many Marines/Navy characters we'll have.

If you wish as well as a Small time captain I will control a squad of marines(personally) my ship could be more of a troop carrier. Though to be fair most of the fleet was troop carriers and lacked major assault batteries...

It's not really commanding squads, more of commanding full regiments and battalions on the ground.
