IDEAS for multiplayer roleplays

Okay so! I haven't found any roleplay or anyone to do a writing prompt with. So I guess I will create my own roleplay.

Multiplayer Roleplay

Alright so I have ideas that can also play as multi-player meaning I open a special thread for them here on RPG.

Floating Island -

One is about a floating continent that no one barely knows exist, only in legends or stories. What exists up there is something like Atlantis or Miyazaki's "Castle in the Sky". Old, advanced technology that is magic like.


Forest Medieval Fantasy Epic Setting-

We're in an enchanted forest that is fabled to have something of value in the heart of the forest, wherever that may be. Epic.

"There's no place like home" - Fantasy Modern-

Characters land into a new fantasy world and the theme of the roleplay or meaning of the roleplay is , "There's no place like home".

I love these ideas, they're just missing some crucial information.

The floating island one could be interesting. I'd like to hear more about the plot.

I have an idea for you. Looking through this I see a common theme of magic and fantasy so....

What if a group of teens(or young adults) happen across an object, whatever that object may be and how they obtain it is up for discussion, that transports them from their boring normal lives to a world full of magic and creatures... AND DANGER! MWAHAHAHAHAHA! They start meeting up, like a secret club, and visit this place continuously. Learning about the magic and the kinds of things found in this world. It's all fun and games until they accidentally awaken something big, bad and ancient. Whatever or whoever it is starts chaos.... And now they have to fix everything, using what they learned and teaming up with the locals to defeat the evil.

Just a rough thought... PM if you're interested and maybe we can GM it together?

I figured the plot is something we create ourselves as the story goes along.

So far it's not epic, but it could be about an old civilization that lived there long ago. So far the plot is, we all meet up before we enter the island. There will be NPCS such as flying creatures, side characters, etc.

What I was thinking was:

-Plot 1 - All characters are from wherever and there is no war. We all meet at a little restaurant coincidentally between crossroads of towns. We party up, we all have our own desires and goals and we talk about the island as if it were a joke or tale. We find an old temple in an ancient forest, many have not survived the forest alive. We then find a Tower of Babel of sorts, stairway to 'heaven', which leads us to the floating island. We discover the wonders of the island, and wonder what happened that made this past civilization collapse or vanish. We come across a non-human guard that no one has ever seen before, and he guards the key that reveals all.

I don't know. Just thinking and writing ideas down. If you have any suggestions or would like the story to go a different way, I'm all ears and will listen.

OH YEAH The setting or world, magic does not exist where our characters will come from.

Make it the Name of the floating Island

The name of the ancient forest will be "The Pith", and floating island is called "Eleanor"

Then name the Rp something like: "The rise to Eleanor."
