A Princesses Secret (BlueMoon277)

The sun lit up his family's house type hut, splashing in his face. Samuel sat up slowly, rubbing his eyes. He stood up slowly and crept out the door quietly, trying to not wake his parents. Sam sat down on a small stood infront of a fire smiling as he listened to the crackling and popping noises...He watched a few wild animals playing in a feild a little far away. The gentle breeze blew the willow trees swiftly back and forth gently. Sam stood up and went on a small walk through the woods, needing to get all his thoughts together.

Rose sighed as she started out the window of her room. The birds still had not come back. Rose had tried to stay up all night just to see the lovely birds return. She was sure she must have dozed off at some point in the night, but it seemed that didn't matter much. The sky was still silent leaving Rose to hum alone. Rose fixed her view away from the sky, and instead to a small garden Rose had found earlier last summer. Then it was full of roses. Sometimes she wondered if they had chosen this castle just for that reason. Maybe her parents knew she would find those rose's, and she would know how much they care. She would know they still miss her everyday the rose's bloom. They still will wait for her to be saved just as she waits for the roses to return. Rose left her window. She could wait no longer to go to her garden.

Rose ran down a small flight of stairs to a hallway. Rose thankfully had found a bit more was welcome to her then just one room. Rose flied down the corridor that opened up to a terrace full of life. Her hair swayed with every quickened step, and her dress lightly slid on the ground. Rose stepped out into the sunlight takingin a deep breath of warm fresh air. Rose started to inspect the bushels of plant life. Finally she found what she had been looking for. One small delicate bud had opened itself up to the world. It had not grown fully yet, but it was a sign for Rose that spring was almost here. It gave her hope that just as these plants that died over the winter and born again. She to wild soon find her new life, or more her new life would soon find her.

Samuel wandered through the woods, avoiding loose twigs on the ground not wanting to scare away any animals. He stuffed his hands in his pockets smiling. He started to think about what the other people said in his village. Sam mummered to himself the words they had said to him "Impossible, you are you weak. Oh no, you can't rescue her...after all she is a princess. You're not a prince! Go back to the shadows foolish boy..." He clenched his fist in a ball and frowned "I'm more then peasant you fools!"Sam screamed into the trees, letting all his anger out. He reached up and touched his locket with a smile. The locket always made him smile, feeling at home and safe. Sam continued his long walk starting to spot flower buds along the way "Ah spring. My favorite season."

Rose real eased the flower from her gently grasped letting it shake slightly by the removal of pressure. Rose picked up her dress not wanting to dirty the ends further. She walked over to take view of the forest by the edge of her terrace. Rose looked over the tree line and the village that lied beyond it. Rose sighed this time not of relif or joy, but instead she sighed of sadness. No one was coming for Rose. The tree line looked exactly as it always had, and probably always will. " why does she even toil with these silly games. Counting the days till flowers bloom or watching the skies for long awaited signs of hope. Why can't she just find comfort in the fact that she's alone." Rose sang about herself slowly finding the right words. Rose did this most when she started to feel sad. It almost made it seem to her that she was just apart of a story, and on top of that it simply made her happy to sing.

Sam looked up and saw a small tower in the distance "There she is..."He said quietly, leaning back up against a tree. Samuel let out a sigh picking at the grass "I will rescue her one day. "He stood up slowly and prushed off his pants with a smile "Well why not start today?" Sam went back tohis village and grabbed some supplies and took off on his horse.

Sam looked up and saw a small tower in the distance "There she is..."He said quietly, leaning back up against a tree. Samuel let out a sigh picking at the grass "I will rescue her one day. "He stood up slowly and prushed off his pants with a smile "Well why not start today?" Sam went back tohis village and grabbed some supplies and took off on his horse.

A flicker of movemonet in the tree line drew Rose's eye. She quickly ran to the edge of the terrace. When her eyes scanned over the forest trail. there was nothing. Rose sighed dropping her shoulders. She walked slowly back to her room not bothering to hold up her dress this time. Rose laid down in her bed. The ends of her dress hung over the side of the bed lightly touching the cold stone floor. Rose droled over what she should do for the day in her mind. She had not swept in a while. She guessed she could do that. Something about the hopelessness of it all caused Rose to stay in her bed even though she had already decided her course of action.

His horse took off, dodging in and out of trees in the forest. His horse let out a whine followed by a loud neigh as they burst out the tree line into the open field. Sam smiled as the sun hit his face as he and his steed rode toward the tower. He hoped he could save her and prove to the others he was worthy and could do anything her wanted to do. He laughed as the wind blew his hair into a mess... After a lot of riding he made it to the castle then he Sam jumped off his horse looking at the tower. Sam called up to see if anyone was there "Hello?! If you are there miss, please say something?!"

Rose finally forced herself out of her bed. She slowly walked over to the corner of her room, and picked up her only broom. The broom was on it's last leg. The handle was worn and splintered. The sticks that wrapped the handle made to push dust barely even existed. Once Rose was done with half of her room she heard a call from her window. Rose dropped her broom in suprise. It hit the floor with a loud clank. Rose left it, and ran to her window. She leaned out a bit more then she probably should have. "Hello, yes, I'm here" Rose yelled down waving her hand to him.

Samuel gripped his locket, holding it tightly in his hand. He took a deep breath and looked up at her, his eyes widened when Samuel saw her [I]Wow, she's beautiful...Why is she kept so hidden from everyone?He asked him self, before speaking again. Sam touched the tower and smiled up at her "Hello miss. I'm Samuel, now I know I'm not a knight or prince(that's not what the locket says :P), but I'm here to give you a try."He waved shyly, staring up at her "Are you ok miss?"Sam asked.
