Ash-Feather paced her cage. She cocked her head every time the scientists walked by, ignoring her but sometimes tossing her a threat. She was being kept for bait at a laboratory, as well as for cruel research. She was a smart little dinosaur, so they ran her through tests like a common rat. She hated it here, the constant taunts and horrible tests to conclude how her species worked...she wondered if she would ever get out. When she heard a laugh from two scientists, she knew something was up. Little did she know, she would get out, but not as she would expect...
As a scientist shoved a small bowl of crickets her way, the starving Shuvuuia couldn't reach the insects, as they were too far beyond her cage. "I prefer larvae anyway...those things are probably too crunchy, like beetles!" She chirped angrily, but then her stomach chimed in, and she knew she had to eat something. She reached her little neck out and tried to grab it with you beak from behind the tight bars, but it was no use. She wasn't eating today. "Son of a..."
