+One Witch's Soul
Welcome to Death Weapon Meister Academy. More commonly known as the DWMA. It stands as a defense against the forces of evil, which would plunge the world into chaos and drag humanity into the very depths of fear and madness. The demons known as Kishin, and their eternal hunger for destruction. To ensure that the Kishin never regain their hold on this world, this Academy was founded by the Grim Reaper, Death himself. So basically we're an organization that serves to protect and preserve peace! I guess it's not exactly a typical school. Oh well, that isn't important! For now, lets roll up our sleeves and get to work!
Lord Death's regularly cheerful voice rang throughout the school building, though it started to seem more like a recording. Students dressed in plain, boring tan jumpsuits walked around aimlessly, trying to figure out one goal: Who was going to be their partner? Luckily, today was a fairly nice day. The sun with the laughing face was high in the air and there was practically no cloud in the sky. Occasionally, there would even be a light breeze that would rustle the hair upon all the students' heads. Yes, today could be no more perfect than it already was.
One particular kid with messy burgundy hair and mixed matched eyes, walked around curiously, eyeing everyone. On his jumpsuit was the title 'Weapon.' All of the students looked pretty interesting, but none of them seemed capable of matching his...weirdness.
Only fifteen minutes had passed and yet still no luck.
Some of the Meisters and Weapons were huddled together, making friends or claiming each other, but Enasni was walking along by himself quietly.
"Eep! You're perfect!"
"The perfect match!"
The sound of weapon and meister coming together.
Once meister and weapon have come together please go your class. Pairing will end in another twenty five minutes.
A buzzing noise filled Aoi’s room once the clock struck six a.m. With a yawn, she turned over in her bed and rubbed at her eyes, trying to get them adjusted to the early morning sun that was currently blinding her slightly. She had this problem nearly every morning but never seemed to get used to that particular routine. Eventually, she was able to get out the bed and shuffle over to the bathroom. After a quick shower, Aoi dressed in the clothes necessary for her first day at the Academy: a plain old tan suit that definitely did not match with her dyed purple hair. She tried her best to make it look more interesting but her efforts weren’t enough, so she simply gave up after a while. Aoi then paused to get a good look in the mirror to make sure that everything was in order. Ugly jumpsuit? Check. Awesome purple hair? Check. Name tag? No check. She looked around on her dresser for the little white nametag that said: Meister before grabbing her little backpack and heading out the door.
Luckily, she didn’t live that far from the Academy, which would come in handy whenever it rained, but today, she felt like indulging herself in the bright sun that was making her skin tingle with excitement. Her skin wasn’t the only thing excited, though. Aoi was practically skipping towards the academy at this point. This wouldn’t be her first time using a weapon, but this particular one would be more permanent and she could only wonder what her partner would be like this time.
At the rate she was skip walking, it didn’t take her long to get to the academy, which was already bustling with life. Welcome to Death Weapon Meister Academy. More commonly known as the DWMA. For now, let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work! The same old announcement from Death somehow made it over the loud chatter of the students who were already there.
“It’s nice to meet you!”
“I’m so glad that you’re my Meister!”
Everyone seemed to be having better luck at finding their partners but her. Well, we’ll see about that! “Hello! Where’s my partner!?” She called out into the crowd to see who would answer her.
Henry woke up when the sunlight began frying his eyes. He made a moan of displeasure and turned over. The very next thing he felt was a lack of a bed and that he was going to preform a mini skydive. With a bang Henry hit the floor and his nose took the worst of it. He cursed wildly and hoped that nobody heard him. After plugging his nose with some paper so it would stop leaking blood he got dressed. In a flash he remembered that this was going to be his first day at the DWMA and that he was most likely going to get forced to pick a meister. He could at least hold the hope his meister was going to be a girl. When he was about to get some food he heard someone else in his house, but he could not for the life of him remember who this person could be. Could it be a random robber or had Henry forgot one of his "visitors" again ? When he smelled breakfast he was pretty sure it was one of his visitors, unless robbers suddenly got a wild urge to eat.
The girl smiled to him and thanked him for yesterday, but Henry could still not figure out who she was so he just smiled and nodded. He tried to have a not so awkward small talk moment with the girl before they got done eating and he walked her out. He smiled as she said his name and goodbye. With a small kiss on the cheek she vanished into nothing. "well thanks for breakfast" Henry said as he walked to the DWMA.

For now, lets roll up our sleeves and get to work! Was the first thing Henry heard as he arrived at the DWMA. There where people everywhere. All wearing small tags saying weapon or meister. Henry stole himself a weapon from a small boy. The boy did not notice before Henry had already moved far away from him.
“Hello! Where’s my partner!?” Henry heard and the girl got his attention. Well if she was asking for a weapon well then maybe Henry could settle for her.
Alexandria had spent the last 8 years within the DWMA. Within the last two years she had been learning under a teacher with a comprehension on manipulating your soul wave length and the ability to force it into another to disrupt their soul wave length and cause bodily internal damage. This main ability had been used by Professor Steinman which she had the pleasure of studying under for a short amount of time before he himself had to return to more pressing matters. While her time had been short with studying under Professor Steinman it had left a lasting imprint on her. She had begun to develop a tendency to go through lapses of insanity just like her teacher. They grew to become great friends over time but like all friends eventually they had to go their own way. When death had called for Professor Stein to go off on a mission she had to resume her learning under her old teacher again.
Over the last few months she had finished the learning under her old teacher and began to move throughout the academy with her own will. With her last meeting with Lord Death he had shown an interest in her recent education and had decided that it was around the time that she was to get a partner to begin to take her training further. Death had told her that this portion of her training would be with her going into the world to begin cleansing it of the evil that lurks within every human’s soul. Those that are innocent were to be left alone while those that were evil had fallen and had to be dealt with or another Kishin could be brought into existence.
With the end of their conversation it had become apparent to her that she needed to find her own partner as Lord Death had asked. With the beginning of a new semester at the DWMA and a new gathering for meisters and weapons to meet had been put on the calendar she had made a mental note to check it all out. When the day had finally come she had decided that it would be best to go to the meeting. She dressed herself up rather nicely and went to the meeting to attempt to find herself a partner. She herself knew that she could resonate with any partner due to her soul’s unique makeup but had decided that she had to find a partner that she could connect to.
She had kept herself under a low profile as she read the contours and makeup of all the peoples souls in the gathering. There were weapons and meisters all mixed together. She giggled slightly at the thought that in an instant they could all be other places or dead for that matter. She suddenly cringed that such a thought came into her head then wonder just the makeup of a weapon and what had created them. She herself knew some of the information on what makes a weapon able to take a human shape but it still dwelled into her mind on several occasions. She pushed that thought out of her mind as she kept up her search for someone that fit her own soul the closest. Alex continued her search but could find no person within this section of the gathering. She stood up and went to the other side just to sit down and begin her search again.
When she finally stopped looking she stood and had thought that all hope for her had lost untill she picked up a rather odd soul wandering around the the crowd. She felt kinda bad for the person as most of the others in the crowd seem to have found a partner. She wove through the mass of people and approached the boy. She smiled and offered him and handshake. "Hey there.. Im Alexandria.. whats your name?"
The ebony-haired girl stared at the crowd of people bustling around. They all looked near her age, and they all had the same outfit on. Tan and only one source of information in the nametag that labeled them a Weapon or a Meister. She wasn't a particular fan of this way of meeting people, but she did understand that it was one of the better ways to pair up partners.
Partners. The word echoed in her head as Saya started to push her way into the crowd. She had never worked in a partnership before...would it be strange? Fun? Annoying? Would she have to depend on someone else to get the work done? No, more than that. Would she have to depend on someone else for her survival? Saya grimaced. What if they messed up? What if she died because they messed up? She was starting to not like this whole partnership idea.
But it was necessary, she could not wield herself. Her traditional fighting ability would only get her so far. She needed someone else, as much as she hated to admit it. Then they better be damn good, Saya told herself. She'd find someone who knew what they were doing, or maybe someone who was trained in the same way she was so when something went wrong they could both fight. She'd find someone good, for the team and the mission and for her.
She continued to bob and weave through the crowd, becoming just another face in a tan jumpsuit with dark hair. She pushed through pairings already made, and past lone Weapons or Meisters standing there helplessly and glancing around. So far she had only passed Meisters who looked extremely frail or were bouncing about and eying her in an odd fashion. Pushing her way back towards the edges of the hoarse of students she frowned and groaned and leaned back against the wall of the hallway. Maybe she should just let her Meister come to her. It was easier to find someone when they were staying in the same place than when they were moving about trying to find you as well, right? Yeah, there had to be an appropriate Meister for her in there and she'd make it easy on them and stay put for now.
Enasni continued wandering like a ghost looking for peace. Only minutes ago he had met a boy that he thought could be his meister. His judgement was off...The meister was looking for someone calm to read books with- and he was looking for a girl. That was tossed out.
He didn't too much enjoy the odd stares he got from people. All obviously disapproving of his soul. Enasni only shrugged at the unapproachables. Shook his head to the failed partners. And kept moving his way.
The burgundy haired teen was determined. He wouldn't give up until he found his meister even if it took...all day. Enasni let out a soft sigh. "I guess I'll find one during lunch period then. I do believe it's almost time for class." He turned to walk to the school, nearly running into a person. A brunette girl. "Oh whoops. I guess I should pay attention to where I turn." He grinned and then realized she was introducing herself. As a meister. "Alexandria? What a lovely name." He shook her hand and then pointed to himself with his index finger. "Me? Well my name is Enasni! But you can call me Ena. Can I call you Alex? It seems like it would fit you after all." He noticed everyone migrating towards the classrooms. It was about time to go.
Kay worked his way around the room, introducing himself to weapons here or there that struck his fancy, though mostly he was working on shear whims. Key's had no natural skill for soul perception, and somehow he doubted he'd ever get very good at that particular skill. This made finding a potential partner feel a lot like guess work since he couldn't tell if the potential partners soul meshed well with his.
Key guess he didn't mind to much, I mean this was only the first weapon/meister meet and greet event of this year and it was his first year, and the bespectacled red head was managing to make many acquaintances that could turn into friendships as the year went on. He'd have many opportunities to find a partner he clicked with. Still, the "soldier" in him wasn't to fond of the idea being unarmed in a school of fighters and weapons.
Still, he marveled at the amount of unpaired weapons and meisters, and it made him wonder how many kids were enrolled at the DWA in all. One thing He did know for sure was that his grey standard jump suit ( which he couldn't for the life of him figure out why they had to wear during this meet up's when the school had no uniform, or even dress code as far as he could tell by the already paired students he had seen. ) was getting warm in the middle of this crowd of students. He could honestly use some fresh air and space after spending most the meet up in the thick of the crowd that made up of frantic teens trying to find a partner that they could pair with for life.
Kay easily worked his way through the crowd of people, with a certain grace and control of his body that came from being trained from a very young age. Kay hoped there would be combat exercises at this school, while most of students he saw around him were certainly untrained and un conditioned for the most part, the more experienced students he had caught glimpses of looked like they would provide an interesting challenge. He vaguely remembered hearing that students could consentingly challenge one another to all out battles as long as they took it outside and had a teacher referee it.
Kay finally worked his way out of the teeming mass of students, where he could finally stretch his arms and legs a bit, and took a deep breath of fresher air. He noticed a girl with long black hair leaning against a wall, wearing the grey jumper and the tag of "weapon". He smiled politely as he approached her.
"Didn't like being stuck in the crowd for too long either, huh? My name is Kyle Kay O'Brian, but you can call me Kay if you like."
Aoi frowned a bit when no one called back to her. In fact, everyone seemed to ignore her and continue on with what they were doing; it made her a tad bit angry. Well then. That didn't go so well. the girl thought with a pout. Her first day back wasn't going as smoothly as planned. Sighing, she turned around and began walking in another direction with her head down, thinking deeply about what to do next. I need to find a good weapon before everyone takes the ones that I'm compatible with...No one wants to be with a weapon that they can't get along with... Her thought process was interrupted when she ran right into a male, one who she had no idea was standing in the way.
"Whoops!" Aoi exclaimed as she practically bounced back off of him and burst into a fit of giggles. "My bad! I didn't see you there." She said and then finally got a good look at the guy: he was about her height, maybe a bit taller, and was wearing a hat that held her attention for some reason. It didn't even have a design or anything; it was a plain olf hat but she found herself wanting it. Her eyes traveled down and she saw that he was wearing a 'Weapon' nametag; this made her grin widely. She'd found her partner! "Oy! We should be partners!" The girl barely gave him time to talk, let alone give him time to introduce himself properly. "We should go before we're late to class." Aoi told him as she grabbed his hand and led him through the thinning crowd. Yup, that was Aoi. No shame in her game. She would pull strangers up and down the street any day.
Alex grinned at the boy. She looked at him in a scrutinizing and highly scientific way. She then began to blush as he was being polite to her. "You know.. You have a very odd soul pattern you know that right.. It seems to match mine quite a bit.. I think we would work well together." She continued to walk around him as if taking it all in to make her decision. She opened her mouth to speak but closed it again. She opened it yet again but quickly closed it as if not quite able to figure out what she wanted to say to him. Alex finally pulled herself together enough to smile and give him a nod. "You can call me Alex if you want." She finally stopped pacing around him and giggled a bit. "Enasni.. Quite a different name if I do say so myself but not so different that it makes you different. Well..... I can already tell you are an odd one by the shape and form of your soul but that makes you special.."
Alex finally takes ahold of his hand and smiles "I think we would do great as a meister and weapon pair don't you think?!" Alex finally realized she was pressing herself onto this poor boy and took a deep breath then stepped back slightly. "Sorry I just rush ahead with things slightly.. I kinda made it seem like you had no say in the matter. Well..... If I had my way with you I wouldn't let you but since I am not in charge you have to make the decision to be my weapon or not." She grinned at him evilily "Don't worry I don't bite I just enjoy messing with people often and in the end you will be no different. I am a bit of a prankster and a scientist all in one." She walked around him one last time while she tried to figure out just what he was. "What are you anyway.. Not to sound rude or anything I am just wondering what kind of weapon you are. You seem like a kind of weapon that is odd yet defined, Different yet just right. Am I correct! Would that make you a.... uhh.. hammer? No... that is far from the truth isn't it.. You have that sharp personality of crazy.. I think some kind of sword yes?"
Henry was on his way over to meet the girl, but it seemed like she was paying little to no attention for her surroundings. She bumped into him like he was some kind of bouncy castle. "Hey watch where you are going" Henry tried to sound strict and serious, but when the girl started to giggle Henry could not help smiling. She was cute and her laugh kinda made Henry light up. He tried to talk to her, but she seemed to be in her own world. Noticing that the girl was more interested in looking at him then talking to him. He tried waving to her to get her attention, but in the end gave up. He was not going to blame her for taking a good look. Girls normally did.Out of nowhere the girl started to talk again, but she gave him no chance to respond before he was grabbed and the girl started to pull him with her. Was this what it felt like when the girl took charge ? and should I just go with her? Henry asked himself.
He did not see a reason not to go with her so he just followed and hoped for the best. "You dont even know my name and you want me as your weapon ? Dont you think you should know the person you are going to abuse as a weapon ? Well as long as we are slowly walking to class. My name is Henry. Whats yours ?" Henry had trouble keeping up with the passe the girl was walking. She was fast and she did not seem to care much about him. "Hey girl! Talk to me" Henry said as they steeped into the class room. "I will be your partner if you just calm down" Henry said in a last attempt to get the girls attention.
