Optimus Paradisi
"Welcome to Optimus Paradisi, I am Hiro Matsumora, the creator. I have worked on this game for 20 years and hope you will find it very enjoyable. As you already know, if you bought this game within the first two weeks of release, you have recieved a code that, once entered, will let you be eligable for a competition. The window letting you be eligable will not appear, however, until you have reached level 50. You have a month to complete this. Your time will appear with your HUD. After that, if you have not reached Level 50, your code will become void, but, you can still use it to gain a special prize as an In-Game bonus for your early purchase! Anyway, welcome to the game. I will keep in touch just in case you need anything and you may even see my character around the game sometimes. I hope you enjoy yourself! Have a good, fun game of Optimus Paradisi!"
Basically, we will start right after your have made your character, recieved this message, and entered the game. Everytime a day passes "IRL," (not In-game days) I will post as such. If you say that you look at your HUD Contest Timer, I will post an exact time. Now, onto character creation. Here is the basic CS and all its selections (CS first.)

~~Man--Low-Skill, Very Common race. Can have all normal skin tones. Limited to Hazel, Brown, Green, and Blue eyes at first. Can gain Red eyes later on. No genderless available. Classes available: Assassin, Champion, Rager, Hunter, Scholar, Brawler. Man, the most powerful when it comes to government. Man is basically the most influential race in all of Optimus Paradisi, being that they are te most common and the most technologically advanced.
~~Dwarf--Medium-Skill, Uncommon race. Can have all lighter normal skin tones. No eye color limit. Can gain red eyes later on. No genderless available. Classes available: Champion, Rager, Scholar, Wizard, Brawler, Minstrel. Dwarves are the kings of the earth, being as they are masters of mining and smithery. Their weapon of choice is commonly the hammer or mace, but they will resort to a blade if need be. They have no sense of archery, nor do they even attempt to, as it commonly leads to failure, even in a Shortbow or Crossbow. If they use a ranged weapon at all, it is commonly Throwing Axes.
~~Elf--High-Skill, Rare race. Can have any lighter to medium normal skin tones, or a Pale skin tone with a touch of Green. No eye color limit. Cannot gain red eyes. No genderless available. Classes available: Assassin, Champion, Hunter, Scholar, Wizard, Minstrel. Elves are, without a doubt, the most beautiful race ever known, and the most graceful, being able to run through the trees silently and almost invisibly. But do not let this fool you, they are a powerful and ancient race, being the top when it comes to open-field combat.
~~Shadow-Hunter--Medium-Skill, Uncommon race. Skin tone is Grecian with red and black tattoos all over their body from birth. Eye color is either Purple or Silver. Can gain red eyes. Genderless available. Classes available: Assassin, Hunter, Brawler. Shadow-Hunters are a very limited race, specializing in only small combat. They are unable to wield any sort of heavy weapon and are stuck with a moderately Skinny build. As a fairly new race, the Shadow-Hunters are often deemed as misfits, being because they originated from a birth defect when Elves and Man tried to procreate. Shadow-Hunters always have a special skill, however, allowing them to be unseen (but not undetected) when they step into a shadow.
~~Kratox--High-Skill, Common race. Skin tone is Sea Green with birth defects allowing them to have Normal skin tones, though that is very rare. Eye color is Black, Silver or Gold. Genderless not available. Classes available: Champion, Rager, Brawler. **Note: CANNOT WIELD WEAPON. Medium to Moderately Fat build. Not much is really known about these rage-driven half-breeds between Ogre and Elf. As part of their culture, they are not allowed to carry any form of a weapon.
~~Ogre--Low-Skill, Common race. Skin tone can either be Sea Green or Stone Gray. Eye color is always Red. Genderless available. Classes available: Rager, Brawler[/B]. Large build or higher. The Ogres have just recently become friendly to other races, having discovered that it is better to try and live alongside the others rather than fight them.
These are the normal skin tones in order from lightest to darkest.
Pale, White, Slight tan, Light tan, Medium tan, Olive, Grecian, Dark tan, Brown, Negro, Black as Night.
Green, Blue, Hazel, Brown, Gold, Silver, Purple, Deep Blue, Aurora (mixed between green, blue, and purple)
**Note: Certain races can gain red after a while with certain requirements filled. Ogres are limited to red eyes.
These are builds in order from thinnest to fattest.
Anorexic, Thin, Skinny, Slight chub, Slight muscle, Medium, Large, Healthy, Some fat, Buff, Fat
~~Assassin--High-Skill, Lightweight class. This class is limited to small or lightweight weapons, but are experts in throwing projectiles and poisons, as well as masters of stealth.
~~Champion--Low-Skill, Medium weight class. This class can dual wield weapons, or, at level 5, can wield a two-handed weapon. This class cannot use shields, but as compensation, they obtain a slight bow skill at level 20.
~~Rager--Low-Skill, Heavyweight class. This class can use two-handed weapons from the start, but cannot use projectiles. This class can obtain a shield skill at level 10, and can emit high-powered attacks. Though, this class, being what it is, a heavyweight, moves slower than others, basically comparing it to a tank.
~~Hunter--Medium-Skill, Lightweight class. This class can only use ranged weapons at first, but gain the ability to use lightweight melee weapons at level 5. Masters of the bow, this class is unrivaled within all of Optimus Paradisi when it comes to distance.
~~Scholar--Medium-Skill, Medium wight class. Masters of lore and written word, these magic users are only rivaled by wizards. At first, only their sharp tongue is their weapon, but at level 5, they gain the ability to use a melee weapon.
~~Wizard--High-Skill, Lightweight class. Another magic user, the wizard is the most difficult to use in the high-skill tier. Being able to only use elemental magic at any point in time causes them to be given the melee skill at level 10, where they can dual wield a staff and sword, or simply only have a sword.
~~Brawler--Low-Skill, Lightweight class. Brawlers, as a balance for their amazing strength in hand-to-hand, are unable to use weapons period. They can, however, for cosmetic looks, get bandages or gauntlets over their hands, but they do not provide extra damage, though, sometimes they may provide an extra set of stats.
~~Minstrel--High-Skill, Medium weight class. The only class to use music within their attacks, the minstrel can heal any player right from the start. As a stipulation, however, they are limited to one weapon and instrument in use at a time, and have longer cool-down times in their skills.
1.You will be getting updates in the game, as I decide to add more pieces to a character's creation, such as a craft or hobby or job.
2.Your inventory is limited to 15 items at first, and stackable items only count as 1 item. Each stack is infinite. Most items are not stackable.
3.You can obtain more bags that each will add their own unique amount of items to your inventory. Each bag is obtained by a quest. The more difficult the quest doesnt matter. Sometimes, easy quests will provide the best bags. The bag recieved because of a quest is unique to each player.
4.The game trailer for Optimus Paradisi played overhead on one of the monitors and the music for what sounded like a mix of Skyrim and Halo themes came through. The first clip showed a vast land, full of forests, caves, volcanoes, deserts, plains, snowy areas, lakes, ponds, and more showed up as words slowly faded in and out of view.
“Imagine a world, where myth….”
A unicorn came into view.
“Legend…”
A sword sitting with its blade in a stone came into view.
“Heroes…”
A man with a large sword on his back stands, overlooking a valley.
“And even villains…”
A dark wizard throws lightning at a man with a sword and shield.
“Are all in existence. Now, Imagine that you, the player…”
The camera continues zooming over the terrain.
“Can become apart of this…”
A PC runs down a road and stops before a large army. A man sits on a roof, squatting and overlooking a city at night. A woman carrying a large sword slashes down, beheading a dragon. A woman elf reads off words, casting a spell of healing for a group of players.
“Can you win the $500,000 prize?”
Several players surround a wyvern.
“Reach level 50 within two weeks and be able to compete for the largest gaming prize. No taxes, no extra requirements.”
The screen goes black.
“Just you…”
Black.
“The game…”
Black.
“Against everyone else...”
Black.
“Optimus Paradisi.”
Black for the trailer end.
1.No God-Modding, Cheating, being OP, or killing off other players without permission.
2.I am GM, anything I say can and will go.
3.I hold the right to kill off your player at any time, even without a reason that can be backed up, though I am honestly not that mean.
4.I reserve the right to boot you from the game at any point in time.
5.Just because another player said that I said something doesn't make it true. Come ask me directly if you have any questions.
6.I want good, well written posts of at least 4 sentences per post. Come to me if you need a pass. (And by that, I mean, come to me at each post you need a pass at, but you will not get more than 2 passes in a row.)
7.I am open to suggestions on anything, and even some critisism, but I will not stand to be argued with. I thank anyone who snitches or points anything out to me, as this helps me keep everyone in check.
8.Do NOT spam my PMs.
9.Keep your cs updated each post. You will be doing a lot and you will need to keep it updated.
10. You may, if needed, add a "What I did last" section to help keep you up-to-date, or you may add a "Notes" section so you can b sure to keep track of what you intended to do. (Or add both)
11.I can, and WILL, change, add, or delete any rules to fit my liking. You may make a suggestion to a rule, but do not argue with one. You may point out a flaw in one, but if you do something to tick me off about my rules, I WILL boot you from the game. I spent a LOT of time on this entire OOC, and so I do not wish to be messed with.
Basically, each level, you multiply what your level currently is by 20. This is how much XP you must gain to reach the next level. E.G.
Any exp extra you gain rolls over onto the next level's xp requirement.Quote:
Level 1= +20 xp to gain Level 2 1x20=20
Level 2= +40 xp to gain Level 3 2x20=40
Level 3= +60 xp to gain Level 4 3x20=60...
So, let's say you earn 25 xp at level 1.
25>20, so you put the 20 Xp onto the current level req, gaining you Level 2, and then the extra 5 adds onto the Level 2 req, leaving you with only 35 Xp left to gain, rather than the whole 40.Quote:
Level 1 Xp req= 20
Gained +25 Xp
Level 2 granted with 5/40 Xp
When adding an Xp multiplier, such as the triple XP flier that the first 4 participants got for signing up before the game started, the Xp gained describes how much base XP you gain. If a quest says you got +50 Xp for completing and you have a triple XP multiplier on, you actually gain +150Xp due to the multiplier. I am only posting the base on each one, since the multiplying tomes are only for certain people.
Any tomes gained that grant a specific number of Xp when used are not affected by the Xp multipliers. If you get a +10,000Xp tome and have on a multiplier, you only get the 10,000 Xp.
Any multipliers for a specific only affect that area. If you have a multiplier tome for hunting, you only get the multiplied XP for killing animals, and not for doing quests.
Wide range multipliers such as the 3xXP fliers from GameStop affect everything until the requirement is met, such as you reaching Level 10 with the GameStop multipliers.
(Iwill add on requirements for each class later) *Note: Does not branch further
,Mercs are the center of all paid fighting. They are not the most skilled, nor the most loyal, but they definitely get the job done. If chosen, the Mercenary class will open you up to a wide range of skills, including ones in negotiation. No reqSkilled killers are on the opposite end of the spectrum of Mercs. Being trained in, well, killing, they can take down most any target. Granted that their stealth and open combat skills are lacking, they are still an excellent sub-class of the Assassin base-class.No Req(From Mercenary) Hired Hand*,Soldier, Officer*;(FromSkilled Killer) Murderer*, Spy, True Assassin*;(From Soldier) Frontliner*, Grunt*;(From Spy) Scout*, Agent*
~~Champion—Branch 1:,A simple guardship is one of honor and virtue, being the basepoint to becoming a Knight, though it is not the only one. The swordsman quickly can identify any sword whose abilities require the Identification skill to discover and can easily learn new swords skills that are not gained through levelling character nor blade. No req
