TRIBUTE TO HACHIKO
I want to make some kind of tribute on here to Hachiko. This thread has been made to share thoughts and tributes to Hachiko, the faithful dog of Shibuya Train Station. If you don't know who Hachiko is, let me explain...
Hachiko was an Akita Inu dog who lived in Japan. His master, named Ueno, adopted him and raised him as a puppy. When Hachiko got older, they went to the train station together and Hachiko would wait for Ueno to return from work. The dog would greet Ueno every day at the Shibuya train station, and it went on like that for a while. But one day...one day Ueno didn't come back. He died of a stroke at work, and Hachiko was still waiting. He waited. He waited for almost ten years for his master, who never came...he was found dead on the streets of Shibuya, having died of worms and a form of cancer. His cremated remains are now next to his master's grave. His taxidermied body is on display in a museum. And his memory lives within us all.
I figured for my personal tribute here, I'd make an animation. I will be posting it when it is done.

My singular experience with Hachiko was in The World Ends With You. I will submit a haiku.
Hachiko, the dog
I ran past you all the time
Killed the Noise in you

Whooo, a revived topic.
But Hachiko is no special case anyway. There's also Greyfriars Bobby.

How dare you say such a thing! This thread is dedicated to him! How could you say that in this internet shrine??? >:[ I agree that Bobby waited longer, but you can't just go around dissing Hachiko!
