Witnessing the arrival of a nobody
Hello, I am Greyman.
I don't really stand out a lot and tend to verge between there and not there. bouts of activity and inactivity are not uncommon for me during the general college year and within the whirl pool of life's constant issues but when not shackled to something else I do tend to be a tad more consistent and coherent in my online presence.
I am no one really special; I don't have some marvel of a writing technique to bestow upon your eyes nor a maze of complex ideas and insane concepts for you to wander forth into but despite what may make me average or what makes me not the most prodigious Role player to enter the cybernetic fields of text that we now graze our eyes upon, I do hold with some confidence that if given a chance I can bring at least a little something to each role play I go to and if I don't I can say I tried to do so even if what I bring is nothing really impressive or new.
It is with hope that me and the inhabitants here grow to become a rather close community of writers that we feel that despite whatever personal differences or preferences we may hold for one another as time goes on that the one thing that will not change is the fact that we can rely on each other to be dependable and mature role players who will do what best for the story over all while respecting proper freedoms and creativity. If we do come across issues either personal or within role play, it is also my hope that we feel trusting of each other enough to be able to discuss the issue rationally and objectively between us.
what I described may of been a perfect relationship or community but aiming for a perfect relationship doesn't seem like a cause worth dismissing before it begun. Ultimately, I also want to put forward that you are more than welcome to talk to me privately via PM's if you want to get to know me or if you are on the prowl for RP'ers and felt like bringing a certain RP to my attention.
Now about myself:
I am a novice animator and struggling generic artist. I consider myself acceptable at what I do and am currently studying to become much better within my chosen field. I like horror games, dark atmosphere and generally very psychological and grim dark like tales but do not think this excludes me from things that are not of this nature in RP's. I absorb factoid about the mind from time to time but I am far from any educated man of psychology.
I prefer to Role play humans and have no problem being a man who is not as powerful as everyone else and more or less in the background nor do I mind dying, being wounded or over powered without it having discussed with me but I require that the reasons to be at least logical and not forced or rushed if done so. In short, if you role play your character well and he is developed, I will not interrupt that characters personality by forcing you to steer him away from taking actions he would normally take, if my character is a every day desk jockey who decides hanging around the blood drinking vampire lord is a good idea, then don't be afraid to introduce the dangers of that scenario which my prop up according to your characters personality or own personal situation, even if those dangers may end up killing my character. I will have faith in you as a good role player not to abuse this trust and to role play these kind of actions with care.
I hate being controlled, I prefer freedom. I sometimes apply my freedom into building my character around your world and sometime I focus on building your world around my characters and in some cases my character may not really fit at all but introduces what I think would be a good plot point or interesting concept. I hate being forced into roles and having little freedom as is displayed by my faith in others to freely utilizes their characters in ways they feel would best effect the story for everyone, even if it comes to harm my character or my previous plans for a story.
I think this intro is long enough. I'll finish this with a hello, nice to meet you.
