Armored Resistance: Soviet Storm

After the second world war the Russian army gained control over eastern Germany. The USSR continued with the manufacturing of tanks, weapons, and ammunition.
In 1958 they stormed through western Germany and Switzerland. From there the Soviet union tried to march trough to Italy, France, Belgium and the Netherlands to get to England. They encountered heavy resistance by the US and UK armies stationed in western Germany, which were able to hold them of for a while.
The US army found this a reasonable threat, and decided it was time to act. They got in contact with the French, Dutch, UK, and Belgian authorities and got up with a plan. The French army got hold on a few Russian tanks, and threw in a few of there own. With this, the US army sent 2 teams of trained tank crews to establish a task force out of motivated man and all unused tanks they could find.

Nationality: American
Crew: 8
Experience: They all fought in WW2 and where specially picked for this mission. They trained on a T92 SPG as preparation for the tank that was waiting in France. They all have combat experience, but not as a team.
Tank: SU-14

I'll be squad leader and bloodwolveNL with his Bat Chatillon 155 will be second in command.

Nationality: American
Crew: 5
Experience: Experimental French SPG, modified to be battle ready.
Crew has been specially trained for the purpose of driving it, except for the commander they have no combat experience.
Commander has taken controll of several squads during ww2 and is designated for this task to support the rest of the crew in combat.
Tank: Bat Chatillon 155

Team: Golf
Nationality: British
Crew: 3
Experience: Experimental French Medium tank, modified to be battle ready.
Ex hellcat crew, trained for the sole purpose of hit and run tactics.
This shock and awe tactic has been seen fit for this tank, further application of the Bat chatillon will depend on the outcome of this prototype

Nationality: West German
Crew: Four
Experience: Served in the 7th Panzer Division, under Field Marshal Erwin Rommel. The crew saw action against the Western Allies during Fall Gelb, before being transferred to the 4th Panzer Division on the eastern front in 1943. The crew experienced a variety of combat situations, from the first battles at Villers-Bogage, to the Battle of Berlin, where it served in a supporting role. They were one of only a small number of Wehrmacht soldiers serving in Berlin at the end of the war to escape far enough west to surrender to the Allies. They were reassigned to the Bundeswehr postwar, before being allocated to a new American task force at the outbreak of WWIII.
Tank: Stug/Sturmgeschütz IV

Hey Lennon, story seems very good, but the USSR attacks almost 15 years after the end of WWII. So your guys would probably be locked up in a camp until the attack. After that your team got out to fight with the taskforce. Sounds okey?

The Bundeswehr was formed in '55, so there is a good three years where they would have been in active service, but it's up to you. I'll go with anything.

Alright. Well, it should make sence that they wan't some vet's. We'll stick with that.

I'm a bit interested in joining this, but there's alot of things that don't make sense to me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the year 1958, tanks such as the Sturmgeschütz IV and it's 7.5cm gun would be obsolete and completely incapable of penetrating the armor of the Russian T-54 (Capable of a maximum of 100mm of armor penetration at 100 meter range, meaning almost point blank, meanwhile the T-54 has 100mm of sloped armor.) And the much superior armored IS-3. Then you have the SU-14 which is a Naval Cannon on wheels that was intended for destroying enemy fortifications and not tanks like World of Tanks would suggest.

There's room for debate as to the effectiveness of WWII-era tanks in the Cold War. Many European generals were convinced that German tanks and especially self-propelled guns of the era could be adapted for the Post-WWII strategic climate. I agree that the StuG is underpowered compared to later Russian vehicles, but in certain situations (hull down on the flanks for example) and with updated ammunition and perhaps even upgunning, it could defeat most Russian medium tanks and MBTs.
It would be royally stuffed if it came up against an IS though.

Interested, and I saw in the interest check bit before I came here that you said it had to have been made (not on paper or wooden models). So the question is, would I be allowed to use a T95? It did have a few working prototypes :3
If not, I can find another tank to use
