A Journey to (gain back) Godhood!

Gods have to nourish themselves in some way or two right? No? Well they do now. They need human praise. How do we get that? Killing things, bad things preferably. And if you're a baddie yourself you'll most likely live off of spreading fear into... Well everyone. I know, I know. This seems weird and off and not exactly generic but hey. I'm here to help you with the whole..... whatchamacallit...... Surviving thing. If you aren't a god that's fine, I'll make you into a god! After you collect enough praise or fear and such of course, I'm not exactly a miracle worker here people. Who am I? I'm Mr Talking Frog Esq..... minus the Esq, I just wanted to sound fancy around all of you immortal super people. Either way I want you to go around and kill stuff. Or just help people, or make them fear you. It's really up to you, this whole moral deal is quite a headache. Either way, you'll get your superpowers and whatnot later, right now all you got is this pencil and this ladle. What you're supposed to do with them is up to you. Also here are some clothes, it's kind of hard to be helpful or evil when you're butt-naked. Now Go on, make me proud! And rich preferably

So yeah. Chocobo here. my idea for this is mainly for people to go around and gather praise amongst the NPCs, or fear. You're able to play as any God or Demigod and Dracula and Elizabeth Báthory because they can become pretty godmode as well. Essentially you're given a god, but you can do whatever you want with him/her/hen/it. Make a perverted Zeus (not that he wasn't a pervert from the beginning), an awkward Aphrodite or even a nice Rakshasa. Hell, make Ares completely fabulous if you wanna. (<- The thing I wanted to d :P) As long as they are Gods or Demigods you can do whatever you want with them.

The Character Sheet should look like this:

Nickname: So I wont make up some wonky nickname for ya in das OOC
God Name: This is so I'll know which God it is
God Age: You can put in any big nuber that makes sense, really
God Appearance: A picture or a description of your God
God Height: This is meant to be in human height. We don't want a forty feet tall Achilles trying to walk around in a village trying not to scare the poor people to death
God Origin: Which Religion for example Tsukuyomi being from the Shinto religion
God Weight: The same rules as with the height
God Gender: The Gender must be consistent with the legends.
God Personality: How will you Rp your God? Put it riiiight heeeeere
God Likes: What does your God like?
God Dislikes: - " - not like?
God Motivation: Evil? Good? The International Confederation of Bronies? Who does your god work for?
God History: Completely optional. But If you'd like you could share a story of your Gods shenanigans

Kind of, but with a group of people and a Frog helping them wiht their adventures. Also we will hopefully not kill Ares and Hades. :P

Pretty interested. But do we have to choose an existing god? I'm fine with that, just wondering. Also; as we get more praise I'm guessing our powers grow? If somebody builds a temple after us; that does give us more power or power over time? Also is there any way to prove we are gods to the mortals, other then miracles? Are there mortal wizards in this setting?

Yeah, you'll gain your powers as praise comes in and you'll also see some pretty cool stuff later on that I have planned *insert evil grin here* And Mortal wizards will be people who have hogged praise and thus gained powers and will live in old temples to a real god, which you will take over and gain powers from. :3 You guys will have to prove your godhood mainly through miracles but also by defeating monsters. Also there is a fear system which is easier to accumulate but takes time before powers kick in. But then you'll become natural enemies with the praise system users. Also, do you have any idea where this Rp could be set?

If it is set in modern times; any sort of place would be cool.

I recommend North America though, seems to clash best with the resurgence of some old gods. Maybe Las Vegas? Anyway, I'll make a character sheet and PM you here in a few.

Okay :) I was thinking along the lines of medieval Japan but I think I've just been playing too much Okami lately. We also had a suggestion on ancient Greece and the Stone age, any thoughts there?

Not Modern? I thought Modern would make things more interesting, but I suppose that is interesting as well. Ancient Greece is an interesting setting, not used often.

Gods and Goddess, I love mythology and have an extensive education on the subject
Greece is interesting and so are the other myths but for the shear level of myths to draw from the Greek ones are the best.
They were seen as both beneficial and fearsome as well as fickle
I might also add they had prodigious sexual appetites as well lol

Yes, Everyone is sisters and brothers in that mythology, and if they aren't they are mother and father and wife and husband xD
