Many-on-one Battle Against a Rampaging Demon
OOC!
So, the concept is that the aforementioned demon has let itself loose into our world and is rampaging through a generic American city setting. Not only is it physically formidable and destroying property and people, it is also mentally and psychically powerful. It is able to invade people's minds to drive them to the brink of madness or exert hypnotic control. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to kill it before it annihilates the whole city and more. I'll be piloting the demon, and you'll be all the mighty warriors who must destroy it- or you could aid the demon in its destruction. (but we'll need at least one or two people opposing it, srsly.) In case you need a historical time frame, let's say this is taking place now, in the 2010s. The demon is tier 7 or so, but can be taken down by the combined forces of multiple warriors of lower level.
A description of the demon in question, from an obscure grimoire:
Quote:
THE DREAM-WALKER
Also known as the Midnight Soothsayer, the Skeleton Storyteller or the Ghost of the Dark Truth.
This beast is known to visit the dreams of the weary, and those edging towards madness. It develops a bond with the dreamer, as it tells the dreamer truths about the world around him and his fellow man. However, over time, as it comes to visit the poor dreamer each night, the things it says turn progressively darker-- it tells the dreamer things about his fellow man; that they are unspeakably terrible people. It then commands the dreamer to cleanse them from the world. There have been many serial killings that the killers say were inspired by this entity, and these particular sprees number amongst the most gruesome, sick and perverse killings of our time.
There is one unsubstantiated rumor regarding the Dream-Walker that nonetheless deserves mention. If the poor dreamer refuses to obey the Dream-Walker, it will forcibly let itself loose from the realm of dreams, using the dreamer's own body as a portal, and by its own hand destroy and kill those that it wished the dreamer to dispose of, resulting in widespread collateral damage. It is said that there was once a small Arizona settlement ravaged by the Dream-Walker, which destroyed the populace and the town itself; however, this is as yet unconfirmed.
