Summary:

Two kinds, The new generation, is a thread that takes place in a world conflicted with racial tension, primarily between the human-like Humans and the animal-like Keidran. They have dramatically different societies and ideas on how to live and act. It is because of these differences that the two races are almost always in some form of conflict. The story begins as the world hinges on the brink of another war.

Races:

Twokinds have three major races: Humans, Keidran, and Basitins. However, most of the conflict surrounds the first two. Humans are your standard primate-based, bipedal, sentient animals. They are technologically superior to the other two races, due to their high intelligence and natural curiosity.

Humans are human based. Humans can range from being a Templar to a slave trader. Templar's are humans who use magic for the wrong purpose; for the most part. Humans usually enslave Kiedran. But being a human doesn't mean you have to hate the other races or necessarily have to be a slave trader or Templar.


Keidran are canine- and feline-based, bipedal, sentient animals. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, which include: Tigers, Large Cats, Dogs, Wolves, and Foxes. They are a short-lived but intense race; guided by powerful base instincts. They are highly territorial and usually short-tempered. However, they are relatively easy to subdue and dominate individually, and thus make ideal slaves for Humans. This has been a point of contention for centuries between the two races.

Basitins are a little-known race of bipedal, long-eared, brown-furred, sentient animals. Unlike the other two races, the Basitins live off the mainland on a distant island-continent. Due to their isolation, they are often forgotten by the other two races and left to their own devices. They are a warrior race, with a society solely consisting of soldiers. They behave in a hive-like manner, following orders of superiors without question. They are usually even-tempered and disciplined.

ROBIN: Robin sitting back in the chair, legs kicked up onto the table, was picking the meat out of her teeth with a toothpick. "So when are you going to get back again?" She asked Lei.

LEI: "I told you, i'll be back in a couple hours." Lei pinned her hair back with a butterfly shaped clip "Please Robin, get your feet off the table" She sighed, she's told this too her a thousand times.

ROBIN: Getting her feet of the table, she walked towards the bed and face planted into it's cushions.

LEI: "Thank you," She walked towards the door and opened it "I'll be back, behave yourself" She walked out and closed the door behind her.

ROBIN: "Have fun" she said sarcastically

Jerico: Jerico was walking through the town most south in the forest wolf territory. Which we'll call it Tylerwynn for now. He was taking his time here looking at all the main points of interest the town had to offer. He walked around until he came across to the town's market place. It had about 7 stores on a trail going through town. 5 were on one side of the small trail while the other two which weren't very small stores were on the other side. on the side with more stores he was heading towards one that was named "The Travelers Spot". "Hello there. You've been standing there for a bit. I have something that you might like", The store keeper said. Jerico was looking and trying to see if he wanted anything. There was a few people at the front buying things, but then they had left revealing Jerico in the back. "...Sorry. What would that be?" Jerico asked in curiosity. The store keeper while he was telling him he had somthing he might like was grabbing at an object. "This!", The store keeper said with excitement. He dropped from his hands a heavy metal object. Jerico was hesitated, "...Uhh..."


JERICO: "It's a one of a kind keidran face mask," the keeper announced.

"What's it do," Jerico asked.

"uh... Well this piece is a relic. An old mask that was used in battle of the blood war. To keep their faces pastiche surgery free. Not like I know what plastic is"

"...I don't think I need any thing like that. I think that it would just be a burden to carry."

The mask cover the complete face and sides of the head making even the eyes unseeable. It was nice and had not even a scatch on it. Jerico thought it was cool, but knew it was unneeded for what he was up to. After so negotiating JericO ended up leaving to walk over to another store.

It was a bakery. It wasn't spesificly one of the seven stores he was around. He looked at the front of the shop where he stood and figured out it was a bakery. "Glad that my last job supplied me with enough money for a meal," Jerico thought hand on the door nob.

Ketic: In the kiedran village both Jerico and Robin were at, Ketic a slave had came in along in a carivan with another fox kiedran who was asleep. Actually the caravan consisted of a single cart on wheels with the slave trader and his horse controlling their destination. Fredrick was Ketic's new owner. This man was aliitle nicer than his previous owner.

"So Ketic, how you doing back there," Fredrick asked still looking where was driving.

"Huh? What did you say? Sorry," Ketic said in response.

"I said how are you doing back there"

"Fine, I'm sorry I didn't say anything the first time".

Fredrick stopped the caravan and stood up from his seat. He jumped to the ground and walked over to the side of the caravan. You could see through the metal bars to see the two fox kiedran with in. "We should get your ears checked," Fredrick said with angry brows. They had stopped near the front of robin and lei's house, pretty much in front.
"Wake up," he shouted! The second kiedran woke up jumping. She sat up with full awareness to listen to Fredrick. "I'm going to go and get us some meat. Don't talk to anyone and if anyone does holler" "Got it," Keyic quickly responded back. Fredrick walked off leaving them.

Ketic: Ketic sighed closing eyes. He then opened his eyes and turned to the girl in the caravan with him. "How are you," he asked smiling? "Fine," She said and turned away looking at her feet. She had been with Fredrick before Ketic had came into the picture. She didn't think there was any reason for talking given the situation. They were slaves and soon they were going to split up. Ketic felt at fault when the girl looked away. He also looked down till after a minute he asked, "What's your name?"

Life in the forest is hard for most humans and keidrans. Some prefer the life living near these forests other prefer the life of living in the cities and towns. Though the few that do live in the forest are either hunters, trappers, the extreme rich, or those of the lawless nature. Then you have the people like Elijah. Those who have no other life then living in the forests. For you see he was the son of a well known human merchant who traveled the lands selling 'rare and unique' goods to people. But on a eventful day his life changed his fathers caravan was attacked by brigands. His family was slaughtered and the only reason why Elijah survived was because he fled. During the next when he came back he had found that the caravan was a disaster both his family and the brigands were killed. Elijah didn't know who did it either but be thought it might have been keidrans since they were passing through forest wolf territory. But he did know that he would need to find a village for he most likely wouldn't survive without aid. He took only a few possessions like his fathers falchion, his father cloak with a wolfs face design sewn into the hood of the cloak, he also took a few days supply of food. He then left. After traveling most of the day he found a apple tree with fresh apples also! He decided to rest there and eat some. While sitting under the tree a apple happened to fall and hit Elijah on top of his head knocking him unconscious.

When he awoke later that day he had no recollection of who or where he was. He didn't a single bit about himself. Except for his name and that was because it was sewn into the back of his shirt. He eventually made his way back to the destroyed caravan site on accident. He took everything of value back to a dry cave he had found a couple miles away. This cave was luckily hidden because what Elijah didn't remember was that he was in forest wolf territory somewhere close to the town of Pen-Gamead. Once that was done he started to set up a routine for himself each. His mornings would start with cooking his food for the day, sharpening his tools and weapons, he would then bathe himself. After tat was done he would eat then hang any food he had left onto a tree several yards away. After that was done he would often practice with his sword, bow or knives. Then around midday he would hunt for the next meal and day. And at evening he would clean and repair any of his belongings to the best of his abilities. Along with sharpen his weapons and tools again if needed, he would then cook his dinner, bathe again and then after everything was cleaned up and nice he would sleep. His routine would changed only on the days he needed to go to a town. On those days he would gather several furs, some medicinal plants and anything he could trade with. For you see since Elijah has been living in the woods for most of his life he has forgotten how to read and do advanced math. He also doesn't understand currency. Though the one trader he does go to knows that Elijah trades in a barter style. Elijah also has difficulty speaking. Since he hasn't spoke much in his several years living alone. The only other time his daily routine changes is if he spots somebody that needs help. Doesn't matter what kind of help. If they need to be defended from bandits or wild animals. Elijah will do his best to help. If they are injured Elijah will use what medicinal skills he has to help them. If they appear to be lost Elijah will try his best to guide them to the nearest village. He often tries to do this without getting spotted or seen by others. Though at times he does need to be seen in order to help.

Today was no different of a day. On this day he woke up. Made his breakfast, sharpened his tools and weapons if they needed it. Bathed and went to the bathroom. Then he ate his breakfast in silence listening to the sounds of nature. After that he clean up his living space and went out of his cave. He took a hatchet that he had and started to cut some wood from a small tree for he planed on having a small fire later that night. After he had done that he gathered his weapons and figured it would be time to practice. Which it was. He started to practice first by using his sword. Then it would be knife, then he would use both knives, then it would be a knife and his falchion and finally he would practice using his bows for last bit. After he finishes practicing he'll eat then go out further into the woods to hunt and look around.

Sheckas: He was in the middle of a forest in Kiedran territory, though he had a map and the like, he didn't know where he was as he hadn't stopped to check it recently, he was simply doing a job he'd been hired to and would worry about anything else later. He'd been hired by some unsavory Templar type to trail a certain person who'd crossed the Kiedran border with a couple of slaves in tow and seemed to be 'too nice' to them in some ways, the job was to keep watch and see if he intended to release them, and gather evidence in case they didn't have control spells in place, both of which were technically Illegal by Templar law. Though Whether or not he intended to 'act' on any evidence he found was entirely up to him, Like he cared about Templar law, this was money, and the fool paid him up-front.

As such, once he'd tracked down the cart in question, he'd spent the entire time carefully following while avoiding notice as best he could, though he was quite cautious so it was unlikely they'd seen him due to the distance he followed from. When he'd noticed that the one driving the caravan was a Kiedran himself he began to wonder about the veracity of the Templar's claim, If it was a Kiedran slave-trader then templar law had no bearing here in the first place, though he continued to pursue them cautiously soon keeping in mind to stay down-wind just in-case. Once the Caravan had reached a village, most certainly a Kiedran Village, He stayed beyond it's out-skirts, watching the Caravan from far down the open road/path, thoroughly hidden in a tree where he could just keep watch until the Caravan started moving again, if they did at all... If not, he may chance entering the village to get some rest if it seemed like they'd be there for a while.

Of course he wouldn't be surprised if he was discovered from staying in one place for so long, he had no nefarious business there and he had his 'methods' for escaping or convincing a wary kiedran that he was no danger.

It was with a tired sigh that Roque finally took the last step off of the rocky mountain path that had, for the last few days, seemed as if it were never going to end. He'd been travelling for six months, leaving his wintry tower of solace and exile and embarking on a journey, or rather a quest, that had led him to the lusciously green and highly dense Forest Wolf Territory. He'd traversed the mountainous spine of the world that seemed to gash across the land, separating the Keidran and Human territories, as if the creator had destined for the two races to oppose each other for all time. It was the first time in the entirety of his 12 years living detached from the rest of the world that he'd set a paw within it's boundaries. He had been in these lands before, however, but that seemed like a lifetime ago.

The air was much easier to breathe now that he'd left the icy winds of the mountains behind. Those that seemed only to try and snatch the breath from your lungs, leaving a stinging burn in their wake. He inhaled the forest air through his nose, closing his eyes and enjoying it's somewhat sweet taste. If it weren't for the fact that these lands were always quite populated, Roque could see himself living here peacefully. People, no matter what race, weren't something Roque had an easy time with, especially those of his own birth; the Snow Wolves. Though he wasn't under the illusion that there wouldn't be any around, he was comforted by the fact that the Forest Wolves had distanced themselves from their northern cousins as well as the events of the Snow Clan Wars. Wars that were still very much alive today. It meant that Roque could fulfill his task without much hindrance.

His task was the result of a dream he had. A message from his Deity; The Lord of the Hunt. It showed him soaring above these very trees, the breeze whipping at his scaled face and lifting his leathery wings as he flew higher and higher, before submitting to the force of gravity and eventually plummeting toward the ground. It was with much irony that slowly during his fall he began to speed up, the tall trees once again becoming the vision of nature's behemoths and the ground seeming to be the only thing that would be able to stop him. But the earth was denied in place of his wings, those that he'd spontaneously flung out wide at the last moment. The air catching beneath them instantly, threatening to tear the aged skin. But they held out and his descent was slowed dramatically and the ground seem only the greet him as he touched down with his mighty hind legs. Folding his wings at his back, lowering his front until he was on all fours, arching his long neck upward and finally opening his powerful jaws, he released a spewing jet of white hot flames. In this dream, he was a great and powerful dragon.

But if this grand beast of epic power and immense size had been shown to him in the form of a dream, it meant only one thing. That his noble Lord had deemed him worthy to slay a dragon. It was a proud moment for him when he realized it, but he didn't let it go to his head. And so, for the six months that had passed, he journeyed toward his destination. He prepared himself for his greatest hunt and consoled with his demons. For this hunt could very well be his last. A dragon hadn't been slain in battle for the past five-hundred years. Many had tried, but none had lived to stand victorious. In some ways, Roque, and many other followers of the Hunter Lord, thought that this task was a test. A test to see if they really were worthy of calling themselves a hunter and living by the Way of the Hunt. Or maybe the Lord had grown tired and he needed someone to keep him entertained whilst he sat above the clouds and nonchalantly toyed with the lives of many. One out of all that followed him would become his jester. They would track and hunt the great beast, draw their swords, string their bows and ready themselves. They'd square off against a dragon and they'd either live or die. The result wouldn't really matter in the end since the Lord didn't care for anything besides the sheer thrill of the hunt. It would be another satisfactory hit to feed his obnoxious addiction and stave off those ebbing withdrawal symptoms.

Though it didn't matter which way Roque saw it. He would hunt the dragon, for his Lord's entertainment or for his honoured acknowledgement. And now that he'd arrived, there was no reason to delay.

[Note: If someone wants to bump into him with a reason to hear to wreathwood, Feel free to do so ^.^ If not, then I shall 'fast forward' his travels and call this post a a backstory bit]


Kuesthoran has been on the move for weeks now, following a 'roaming job' that he'd been hired for. To be more specific, He had only shortly stopped at a tavern in Knockford, though his presence was not all that favorable to the residents, he intended not to be present for very long.

As it happens, a certain someone spotted him entering this tavern and, though he is not too well known of a mercenary, not by reputation at least, he is certainly a unique being and hard to miss even with only a vague description in mind, and he 'was' popular amongst those with strong pockets and fragile bodies who'd need to hire someone for some 'hard work'.

Minutes after he'd entered this tavern and obtained for himself some meat and a drink, a man cloathed in some rather posh and 'fancy' robes burst in and ran straight for him, clearly exhausted and desperate before he pulled out and dropping a bag of coins on the table in-front of him and spoke alloud "100 Gold!, If you'll defend me and escort me to Wreathwood." A moment later several men barged into the bar behind him, they kindof looked like bandits, or maybe just militia, regardless, for that kind of pay he was interested enough to show them what for.

There were about 6 of them, well, 5 after one of them pissed himself and ran away screaming "SHIT!, IT'S FENRIS, RUN AWAAAAYYY!!!!" at the sight of a 7 foot Keidran that looked capable of making them eat eachother's skull pieces, the rest were certainly un-sure of whether or not they wanted to continue whatever they were doing but were standing their ground. "Well stranger, it looks like it's your lucky day, That's the kind of offer I can accept interupting my down time." He popped a big grin on his face he climbed from his seat and turned towards the group of armed men, pointing towards the door for a moment "Lets take this outside boys, I don't wanna reck the bar with your corpses."

One of them chose to take advantage of this and tried to charge him, thinking he'd holdback and give them an opening if he wanted to avoid destroying the bar... he was wrong.


Out in the street, the doors of the tavern Shattered into countless pieces as a body was thrown through it, several more in tow trying to get out of the way before being demolished by the charging wolf. A Fight ensued that very quickly resulted in 5 unconcious and mildly injured humans laying in the street, though he'd left them alive this time, he wasn't paid to mutilate them or anything.


After getting back to his meal and his newest 'client', he sat down to ask him why they after him, and it was quickly explained that he was a noble from the capital, though it's possible they were just thieves after someone with money, it's more likely that they were hired to make sure he didn't complete his journey to the border. Turns out he was some fancy-pants Supporter of Keidran, though not as openly as he might've preffered due to the trouble it would bring, open enough that he was in danger traveling in the open in human territory, and a couple of previously hired body guards weren't up to snuff in terms of protecting his fragile ass.

After some informative conversation, and revisiting the left-over's of the man's Caravan that he needed to get to the border, which was untouched aside from the slaughtered body-guards, they were ready to set off, making their way through the main-streets of Knockford on their way to the town's border.

Elijah finished his training. After his training he usually ate a simple meal of whatever was left from this mornings meal. Which was a slain rabbit that was cooked earlier that morning. Elijah ate rather quickly. After his meal he threw on his cloak that he had from the beginning. He had so that the hood was over his head. On his back he had a quiver with twenty-four arrows, in its sheathe was his falchion, and finally he had his two hunting knives one was strapped to his leg the other was strapped to his belt on his back. In his hand was his longbow. With everything set Elijah left his camp after cleaning it. Since in the woods a living space can easily be found by scent so you often had to keep foods away from ones living space in order to avoid animals. Elijah then left his cave. He would be gone most of the day hunting for food for the next day and he would also be watching the roads. The one thing he often wandered was how come there aren't many humans that travel on the roads? He never could figure out why.

Elijah traveled quickly and far through the woods. He knew that it was better to hunt far during the summer time so when disaster did strike it would be easier to find food around his home. Elijah must've traveled ten miles before he stopped. He looked around and spotted tracks. He went over to where the tracks and looked at them. He studied them. He thought they looked like deer tracks. He thought that if he could get a deer he would be set for days. He decided to follow it. He followed the tracks for some time. Eventually he spotted the deer he had been tracking. But alas it had already been killed by a wild animal. Most of it was gone anyway. Elijah shrugged he would continue his search for food. He wandered for sometime. He was glad he knew his way around the forest otherwise he would've been lost by now. After awhile he found a good sized rabbit. Standing up he lifted his bow up, he drew a arrow. He felt the weight of the bow in his hand, his felt the resistance from the bow as he pulled at the string. Once the bow was pulled back he heard the 'twang' sound from the bow as it released the arrow. In one second he saw the rabbit eating food happily. In the next he saw it dead with a arrow plunged into its chest. Elijah jogged over to the dead animal. He pulled a knife from is leg. He took the arrow out of its chest and laid it down near him. Then with his knife he slit the animals throat to drain it of its blood. When that was down he cleaned his blade on the grass and placed the arrow back in his quiver. With a bow in one hand and a dead rabbit in the other, he made his way back to his home.

Avalant had been watching the noble's actions for quite some time now. Sitting on the roof tops, his spyglass lens in his fearsome mask adjusted his focus on the noble as he ran into a local tavern to avoid the mercenaries that were after him. Avalant sighed, shaking his head as he crouched on the tiled roof of the building he was on. He had been sent by a Templar to provide "Insurance" on the assassination of a Keidran supporting noble. He was to make sure the job did not fail and provide support if needed. It seemed as though he wouldn't have to do anything, until the mercenaries were flung from the very bar itself. A large 7 foot Keidran Snow Wolf emerged from the bar.

"It appears the nobleman can think on his toes, and has the money to do so. . . " Avalant thought to himself as he watched.

The Keidran returned to the tavern once the mercenaries had been knocked out. Avalant decided to wait for them to move then observe from a distance, size up the new threat to this mission. This change in plans means that as "insurance" he will now make sure the the job is done regardless. He sat on the roof for awhile until the nobleman and the Keidran emerged, heading towards to caravan were they found Avalant's handy work. Child's play by his standards, but he eliminates threats when he can, and bodyguards could prove troublesome in future situations. He continued to follow them through the town, biding his time to strike. As they made there way to the town's border, Avalant kept his distance and continued to observe them, but now going to the ground level as the buildings begin to grow farther and farther apart. He still stayed in alley ways and out of main roads to avoid attention. For the only people who see his mask usually die moments later, and that's a status he is unintentionally keeping.

The jingle of coins, the roar of the crowd around him and the smell of riches in the air! Yes, this is what Ringo lived for, to travel the world and meet new people and new riches. He had come to the town of Wreathwood for the Festival of the Beast, after all they needed goods for this, and so he was in the process of selling 20 kegs to the biggest inn within the area, though he had done a interesting way of securing the deal...

Flipping one of his coins into the air Ringo grabbed it and slammed it onto the table with a smirk towards the beard inn keeper, sweat dripping down his brow in rivers and into his beard, and Ringo's steely confident eyes only made it all the worse. Lifting his hand up from the coin Ringo gave a cheer. "YES! Sorry Greg but it looks like you are also paying the tax on the ale too" Ringo gave a shrug and tried to console the man as he was cursing himself for taking the deal, which was if the coin was tails then he would not have to pay for the tax on top of the ale. It was a great way to secure the deal and either way Ringo wouldn't have lost that much, just this way he got more coin on top to pay for the tax on it.

After fixing his white muffler Ringo sat back down at the table and passed the coin over to the inn keeper. "Hey, you shouldn't worry, after all you are going to sell almost all of it by the weeks end thanks to this festival, so you still come out on top either way. Now, would you mind getting me a drink from one of my own kegs? I am pretty thirsty heheh" Ringo smiled away as he took his glasses off to clean them, watching with one open eye as his crew, which consisted of more than one race, was bringing the kegs off of the cart and into the back door of the inn for storage. They were nice and chilled too thanks to the ice he had on broad. Ahh, nothing better than waiting for both your money and a drink.
