Name: Charlie Parkes

Short Bio: Charlie was born in Washington to a pretty regular, liberal family; his mother worked as a teacher and his father was an IT consultant. However, despite the encouragement of his family he was quite socially awkward. When his parents gave up on helping him improve this, Charlie went into his shell and didn't put much effort into socialising as he grew older. He might have had the potential to be a bright kid and get good grades, but high school seemed to be too much for him. He never liked anyone except a couple of people nor could he stand the patronising teachers or painfully stereotypical students.

He left school and eventually found himself in a desk job, trapped working as a financial consultant at Barclays. The world was too noisy for Charlie; his time alone in his apartment was golden. In a way, this was his saving grace. One of the many ways he wasted his time was zombie films. He'd seen them all. Literally. Every zombie film ever made and he'd seen it. He was one of the few who spotted the early signs of the impending apocalypse and got his ass out of Washington; as a precaution, if nothing else.
He argued with his parents to come with him, but his father was adamant that the whole thing was just another flu pandemic blown out of proportion. Charlie regretted not dragging his parents out of the house that day - he still does. For weeks Charlie drove around the state, mapping out 'safe zones' where there was little surrounding populations, stocking up on bottled water and canned food. He was an excellent survivor.
Two months ago he found a travelling group of ten people from Longview and decided to head back with them, helping to fortify their little corner of Longview and resupply the town.

Bio: Born in North Carolina, Isaac grew in a relatively conservative family, last child to the family of five. He hardly knew his father, who rarely had time for his children because of his job as a fire-fighter. As a young boy, he never felt particularly bitter towards his daddy as he had his mother and siblings to take care of him. Isaac always thought that his mother did a good job raising them all, even if his sister turned out a bit more rotten than one would have wanted. As he grew up, he tried his best to follow in his big brothers footsteps, whom he had always looked up to. He did his best to get through school with good grades, and from there, continued to college for a Master's degree in architecture.

The next few months the man ended working at the local Starbucks while trying his best to look for jobs. It took awhile, but he was lucky enough to get a place as a project architect all the way in Oregon. The man wasn't too bothered by leaving his family in North Carolina, though he hoped his brother would look after their mother the best he could. In Oregon, Isaac quickly settled in to a routine, adapting to the new surroundings with surprising ease, especially for a man who hadn't stepped outside North Carolina more than once in his life. Most people found him easy to approach, and as such, the man never really felt lonely in his life.

Then, almost out of nowhere, that virus started spreading. Isaac wasn't exactly certain how it had happened, as he had only ever concentrated on what was exactly in front of him. What happened in the rest of the world had never really mattered much... until now. When he'd gathered himself together, the man originally expected going to North Carolina to get to the rest of his family, but a single call to his brother was enough to end those thoughts. Apparently going to North Carolina was a bad, bad idea. Instead, they chose to meet in Kansas. They were able to find each other within a week, and from then on they traveled together, abandoning their car in Idaho and ending up gathering and losing a few folks in the next weeks. Over that time, Isaac bonded with his father and watched both of his parents die and worried about his sister, who his parents had never been able to get in contact with. He learned he was a good shot, but was better at beating things to death. He still hoped that things would work out somehow, but even to him that happening seems less and less likely every day.
By the time they found out about the little safe-haven in Longview, the only people left of Isaac's family were his brother and niece. Longview sounded like a good place to stay in, much safer than where they were now. It has only been a few days since Isaac arrived to the small community of survivors, but he already sleeps better here than he ever could outside. He was certain everything would be fine with so many good people guarding their backs.
