Hollow Stone: Slaves of the Apocalypse
Hollow Stone is a anthropomorphic post-apocalyptic roleplaying concept where you take the role of a individual who serves as a new or veteran "slave" under a group of organized raiders called The Terror. Hollow Stone borrows from concepts from the "escape from dystopia" cinematic/literary genre as well as the Fallout game franchise. The atmosphere and pacing is that of a character-driven story of hopelessness, despair, anxiety, and ultimately survival at the surprising end of the day as spirits rise. Players will embody this as they take the role in a work and procurement camp run by aggressive bandits who only serve their own means.
Aegis is a world of survival, fear, and control. In the days past, Aegis was a world of scientific innovation following a series of war and conflict. Technological advancements in high-end weapons led a blissful existence between several states before the world ended before a flash. This is all the background to the current world, which is mired with wonder as the ruins of the old help build them forward. The current state of Aegis is one of ruin, full of anarchists and dictators. What is certain with the world is that it is as diverse as it is detailed with scrapyard and ruin.
There are several factions within the apocalyptic frontier spanning from the southeastern corner to the northern coasts:
The Dominion: The Dominion is the arguably most advanced civilization in Aegis, located upon the northern coast of Aegia, the Dominion contains the majority of the remains of a great metropolitan city from the old world of which was the most salvageable. The Dominion controls a population of old world machines that are armed with sustained energy that still function in the current scheme of things. They are a totalitarian state controlled by those that found themselves able to control said machines and have so for a few hundred years. Few are allowed in, and their people are not allowed to leave.
Hope: Hope is the central power in the southern plains, and has existed as a largely independent city-state for half of a century. Hope controls itself and small settlements within it's domain which it protects with salvaged machines and stationary weapons. It is a people of escaped engineers from The Dominion, salvagers, retired wanderers, and merchant men. Largely it's independence deals with the deals it makes to the largest threats to them that aren't separated by long distance: The Terror.
The Terror: The Terror are a loose but organized group of bandits, raiders, slavers, and murderers who go about their business as they please who take home in the central valley between the mountains that separate the North and the South. As the largely the most successful and organized raider collective they are a large threat to independent civilizations like Hope, and any traveler that dares get spotted by their scouts. The only way to insure your own safety is tribute and that is only certain for defendable stations like Hope and Deadfall. They lack personal honor, but have great profit through their localization.
The Ghosts of the Necrosis: Within the giant desert that is called The Necrosis, there is tribes of people who frighten the eastern common folk. These “ghosts” are rumored to be demons through their use of supposed "magic" they wander. Most tribes are highly unfriendly.
This is some of the basic stuff for Hollow Stone, if you have any questions I need to elaborate your interest on PLEASE let me know. :)
