ICookedaChocobo vs Tasuke sparring fight [Private]

Battle ground: Tika’s Taco Shop.

Setting: A simple taco stand measuring 30’ by 36’ made a simple beach wood is set on a white sandy beach ten to fifteen feet away from the high tide location. A fairly dense forest is seen from the back door of the shop, extending out as far as can be seen. It is rumored a cave is out in the woods. From the front an endless expanse of ocean can be seen.

Populace: One cook, one server, and patrons are in the establishment. First poster determines how many patrons are inside, cook and server are required.

Participant Limit: Preferably 2, with forests up to 4.

Magical Properties: Element users will be happy as an abundant amount is available, secluding open flames.

Restrictions: None

Rules: The basic rules of the Arena, simply. Also, I'd like you to win if that's okay, just to spare us the trouble of having to decide.

Reminiscence

The gentle whisper of lapping waves upon alabaster shores can balm even the most heartless of spirits. It's a tranquil and perpetual rhythm conductive to thoughts and daydreams. Such sweet serenade is to be enjoyed by a lone lass located on otherwise derelict sand.

Mere inches from the reaching water is the innkeeper known as Chiaki. She sits adorned in shimmery ebon kimono with her near-chest knees encircled by her long-sleeved arms. Her neck-length crown of black and white locks haven't had a trim in months and are now free to flit in crisp zephyrs whilst chocolate eyes behold an endless expanse of glistering water. The ocean encroaches ever so close to the naked toes of her simply sandaled feet and a tiny grin accents her fetching face as personal reflection fills her focus. Remembrance of stolen days and the reason the pair of kodachi remain diagonally crossed through her sash at the bend of her back.

These are her brands of sisterly similitude. Beneath an upright and rightward blade of navy lacquer is its azure-coated companion. Both adorn silver guards and finely wound fabric around their hilts; the first a darkly matted blue and the other a vibrant cyan kissed with a delicate glitter. Together they compose a synergy of water and ice and house the pair of protective spirits she'd become infamous for. Water's Daughter; Death's Cold Breath; Assassin of Aqua. Those are merely a few of the titles attached to her discarded sobriquet.

Now she lives as an embodiment of service and protection for the less capable and fortunate. But even her unquenchable altruism must take a break from time to time and that is the reason she found herself gazing longingly across wet horizons. So far it is a relaxing experience only slowly chipped by heartache. A yearning to share this beautiful sight with her late caretaker and an experience she knows can never be partaken in the grave.

Kitsune was humming an old melody that tells of fireflies in the wind of melancholy. Perhaps they are just like me, not sure where they're going. She thought, humming on. But she had to concentrate, she had something to do here. A task painted with blood, as her adoptive grandfather would say. A waitress who brought her the food she ordered snapped her out of her thoughts. A small pice of meat was in front of her, and she ate it happily.

After a short wihle, when she was done, she stood up and headed for the door outside. A light breeze brushed against her skin. She found beauty in these kinds of landscapes. However, she couldn't have time to see it unless she got rid of her target first. Said target was sitting on the beach, looking out over the ocean. Kitsune slowly drew her blade, Kage no Kitsune. Calmly she walked forward, her blade caressed the sand lightly, drawing a line behind her. She tilted her head slightly as she drew out small flash bangs out of her pockets that shone blue. Foxfires. She thought, playing with them in her left hand. Quickly she charged, covering a few feet in an instant and the rest at a normal human pace, she threw the foxfires at Chiaki, they exploded with a bright cyan light and then turned into small aquamarine flames which seemed otherworldly. Kitsune stood with her black blade held high, perhaps a more stealthy approach would have been good, but she wanted an honest fight, one which would be sung of.
-"Ki ne tsune neki ki tsuki ne (This blade yearns for that blood you hold)" She spoke in her own made-up language, made to confound oppponents and it also came naturally to her. She sweated a bit under her fox-mask, which concealed a face adorned with beautiful flowing white hair, and the red linings of the mask seemed to intertwine with the red lines of her hair. Her kimono was adorned with foxes and blue flames, all on a bright white background. Her colors contradicted those of her opponent greatly, but that only gave the battle spice

Intrusion

Falling deeper into melancholy memory is the isolated innkeeper. Outward contentment becomes a molded facade evident only by the sudden lackluster of her stare. Sadness had been indulged and slowly swells like a rolling wave. She rests her left cheek against her thighs and her eyes close tightly; her lips purse into a frown and a deep breath of moist air fuels her soundless sigh. The tender ambiance of the ocean is her only bandage. The strange sound of scraping from abaft may have gone unnoticed if Aki were not so attentive to her surroundings. Her eyes open apathetically and her peripheral catches its origin.

The sight ignites alarm: a lithe and masked figure wielding a dragging cutter. Shock slaps her across the face and she gasps awhile hot adrenaline jumps her heart and drums in her ears. Peculiar flicker dances around the persona's hand; a nonverbal declaration of war. It blossoms an iridescence of blinding azurine which makes her shut her eyes and look away by instinct; her lips form a snarl of agitation and bluish afterglow stains the blackness while she enacts her only means of preventing complete ambush. A pouncing leap toward the licking water and unintentional evasion of the hungry flames left to sizzle in the sea.

What happens next is the material of ancient books. She lands atop the aqua with a roll that drenches her back but does not penetrate the deep. Chiaki crouches upon the water as if it's a solid in a right-legged kneel. Her eyes are still closed when her right hand reaches for the same blade. A taut overhanded clutch rips the kodachi free amid a rising leftward twirl. Anger fuels her roar and the kodachi's tip glides across saltwater before winding a liquid rope. Her facing of her attacker concludes with her upward stroke and creation of a large whip of diagonal hydration five feet thick as well as fifteen feet long; backlash aimed to punish rude behavior thru clipping of their left side.

Now her vision is opened to teary blurring, Details are sluggishly restored and all that's certain is her enemy is directly before her.

Kitsune admires Chiaki who rolls upon the water, resting upon it as if it were the ground itself. Even though she is slightly irked by the fact that her target hasn't even opened her eyes as far as she'd been able to react. She sees as the kodachi are drawn and Chiaki lets out a roar. Kitsune silently moves forward to counter the charge, as Chiaki's eyes have yet to open. However while Kitsune focused on charging up her next attack, a whip hits her side and throws her off, and thinking that her chance had been lost, Kitsune instantly moves a few feet forward, until she is right in front of her opponent, dropping a smoke bomb before jumping back charging up for a setup for something greater, and just in case throws spikeballs in front of herself so that Chiaki won't be able to sneak up so easily. And while she charges, the animals living in the nearby sand start to stir and move away from her as her sword slowly starts to evaporate.
