Mega Sonic IC
This is a base where Light Industries keeps its most confidential experiments. Among these is project 'SHADOW', an experiment created by Dr. Gerald Robotnik, but later handed over to Light HQ. The place has very high-level security. Very, very few would have the nerve to even enter this place, let alone try to steal anything.
Of course, there is one person who does.
The front door is shot open.
-Security Breach detected
-Calculating...intruder is nearing project SHADOW
-Activate security drones for level 1 threat
In this room, a few mettools hop into the area. They have plasma shotguns mounted on them, allowing them to fire 3 plasma bolts at a target. They prepare to fire on whatever comes through that door.
"Ha, Ha, Ha. Music to my ears." The E.G.G.M.A.N muttered to himself, quite satisfied with getting inside like a real badnik. As the sirens sounded, the Doctor charged forward in the E.G.G.M.E.C.H which had quite a few nice little tweeks since it used to be a little flying saucer. They were never honestly tested, but this was as good of a chance as any... Right?
"Activate boosters! Full speed ahead!" He commanded himself, pushing on a lever and making the E.G.G.M.E.C.H charge forwards, flying through the doorway. As the mettool's opened fire, Eggman pulled back on the lever and did quite the jump, the plasma bolts passing under the E.G.G.M.E.C.H as Eggman activated the boosters in the air, slowing his fall and giving him time to use the lock on system on the three drones who prepared to fire again. "Fire missiles!" Eggman shouted, hitting a big, dramatic red button which fired off his missiles at the robots, hitting each of them directly and turning them into scrap metal. Landing safely on the ground, Eggman was satisfied with the test results.
"Now... To just find what I am looking for..." Continuing onwards, the E.G.G.M.E.C.H stomped through the halls, standing tall and sturdy.
Was all that echoed through the halls, as Eggman charged through in the E.G.G.M.E.C.H... Until...
-Preparing level 3 lockdown. Shutting main doors.
Eggman blinked, hearing the doors automatically close behind him, one set at a time and fast. He pushed the lever fully forwards and sped up, but he was still too slow. As he reached the final door, the door slammed behind everything except one mustache hair, which was plucked out and caused Eggman to grit his teeth. You could destroy his robots. You could lie about his IQ.... But nobody messed with the 'Stache. Eggman approached an elevator, and as the E.G.G.M.E.C.H stepped on the platform, it automatically began lowering.
"This is... Too easy..." Eggman grumbled, stroking his mustache near where the missing hair once was.
-Warning! Warning! Security doors bypassed, activate security drones for level 5 threat.
"Oh-Hoh!" Eggman exclaimed, as there were Small flying bots coming from the depths below and surrounding the elevator. Eggman activated the manual targeting for the main gun, and opened fire on the robots, taking them out in the same order they showed up in. "Is this the strength of Light Industries? I'm not even mildly impressed! And the paintjobs are horrible!" He complained, sighing deeply as the elevator stopped. the E.G.G.M.E.C.H moved forward, now heading into the depths of the facility.
"It has to be around here somewhere. I'll simply tear the place apart until I find it..."
-Do we have a weapon that can damage Eggman's Mech?
-It seems almost military grade. Where the hell did he get the parts for that thing?
-Sending reinforcements. In the meantime, slow him down. We'll be getting CutMan into position, and if he gets to project Shadow, we have one last weapon we can throw at him.
A few Sniper Joes pop in. They're Green colored robots with riot shielding and busters. They are also accompanied by a few human security agents wearing blue uniforms and carrying handguns. They all fire at the Eggmech, aiming for the legs. They're trained to use non-lethal force as much as possible, so for now their attempt is to immobilize him. Besides, he'll be a lot slower without working legs.
Blues was not a hero, at least not anymore. There was a time he blindly defended the human race and served a purpose very similar to Rock, but those days were over. The firstborn Robot Master had fallen, and though his body was repaired, he had ceased to operate as designed. Dr. Light and Dr. Wily hadn't the understanding as to why he had ceased to obey orders. Perhaps it was undetected damage from the battle which had damaged his old solar reactor. Maybe it was the nuclear core Wily replaced that with somehow causing him to malfunction. Blues was content to let them wonder and grasp at straws at what was wrong with the DRN-000 design. The truth was a lot more disturbing or amazing, depending on one's viewpoint.
Though he had stopped defending humanity in the pre-programmed way expected of him, he still felt bitter toward Eggman for his loss...and knew that his sibling Robot Masters could meet the same fate. When information on the break-in started to stream through the area, the aged but still relevant Robot Master approached the area and started to quietly scout about. If Eggman wanted to attack this site, he wanted to take or destroy something. Either way, he would need a way of escape. Blues started combing for forces Eggman may have left outside to aid in his withdrawal, hoping to anger the tub of lard properly for his trespass by leaving him without support or transportation should he manage to exit the compound again.
Eggman's eyes widened, noting where they were aiming. He couldn't afford to lose his-
"Grah!" A grunt of frustration escaped Eggman as one of the E.G.G.M.E.C.H's legs, the left one, had been critically injured. This wouldn't stop the E.G.G.M.A.N, of course. Not willing to give up now, he deciding he'd do a technique he'd never have to use...
"RAM THEEEEEEMMMMM!!!!!" He yelled out as a battle cry, the boosters' were the only things moving the E.G.G.M.E.C.H at this point, but it was enough to bash through the Sniper Joes, and no agent would be stupid enough to stand in the way to be crushed. Eggman grinned, flipping a purple switch. "Activate the rear gear surprise!"
The Rear Gear Surprise was actually a rocket launcher that was hidden well by the E.G.G.M.E.C.H's back, a casing opened and revealed the large weapon, which with a slight aim adjustment from E.G.G.M.A.N, Fired off at his past enemies, allowing a narrow escape that left the E.G.G.M.E.C.H in poor condition. "Just a malfunction! I can handle such first world problems on a later date."
((Hm, do you want Shadow to have to fight MegaMan or Protoman?))
((I'd be fine with either, honestly. If it's Mega, I expect his robotic ass to get whooped.))
((I have been up for nearly 37 hours. I need to get some sleep. If anyone needs to use any of my characters while I'm asleep, go ahead... Just don't make Sonic and Megaman too friendly, eh? Peace until... Sometime.))
((37 hours, wow. Goodnight.))
As Eggman was now slowed down, he knew he needed a distraction if he wanted to hopefully get through without many more problems. "It would seem this is going to get worse before it gets better..." He mumbled, before reaching down into his pocket and pulling out a radio. He flipped it on, and began barking orders immediately.
"Fire the pawn cannons, now!" He ordered his support bots, and simply turned the radio off afterwards and continued on, as it seemed he still had some travelling to do....
Meanwhile, at The E.G.G.M.A.N's base, four large cannons moved into position, their target: Light Industries. As soon as they got a lock on their target, they fired, sending E.G.G.P.A.W.N's flying, each cannon holding a dozen or so robots. They soared through the air, prepared to land and face whatever was waiting for them. They came down from above the clouds, some wielding guns, others, spears. They began crashing around Light Industries, set on being distractions so E.G.G.M.A.N's main plan would work. Although three dozen stayed out, one dozen went inside to cause a little... Chaos, through the main lobby. They began breaking everything they could, and stealing anything of value. As E.G.G.M.A.N had planned, the chaos gained the interest of one very important Robot.
After getting his hand repaired from his encounter with Sonic the Hedgehog, Megaman was finally back in action to defend Light Industries. He was, at the moment, going through a transport tube to the main lobby. Dr. Light! How many E.G.G.P.A.W.N's are there?" He asked, quite shocked about the attack. What was Eggman thinking he could get away with? Megaman planned to take care of the pawns before going after Eggman, as letting them trash the place wouldn't be in anyone's best interest.
"Be careful, Mega! There are at least a dozen!" Dr. Light warned, and Megaman nodded. "Don't worry, you built me well! I'll handle them!" Megaman said, smiling as the end of the transport tube opened and he landed in the lobby. The E.G.G.P.A.W.N's instantly began attacking. The first was using a spear, in which, as it approached, Megaman grabbed the spear and tugged it away, pulling the pawn closer and allowing him to deliver a swift kick, breaking the frame of the pawn easily with his strength. Spear in hand, Megaman turned and threw it , striking another bot through it's stomach, in which along with a few shots from the Mega Buster, caused it to explode.
By now, the pawns had began opening fire. Mega wasn't a huge fan of bullets, and took cover behind a desk. The gunfire continued and continued, as if they'd never run out. He slowly peaked out, firing Mega Buster shots off at any of the bots he could manage to get a lock on. "This isn't as easy as I expected...!" He said as he continued his hide and shoot strategy, destroying E.G.G.P.A.W.N's whenever he could make the shot.
Outside the base wasn't exactly a good place for the enemy robots to be either, as powerful shots flew out at the E.G.G.P.A.W.N.s with an impressive frequency. Blues made use of his nuclear reactor, issuing forth shots with a strength significantly stronger than typical uncharged ones and even rivaling charged ones. Of course, he had about three dozen targets to contend with. He didn't stay in one place for long, though he had his shield at the ready in case it proved necessary. If these units were meant to cover Eggman's withdrawal, he'd hopefully be able to severely hinder that plan. This wasn't driven by heroism or justice, as much as anger and resentment for everything Eggman had done. He was the embodiment of Blues' distrust of humans, of their capacity for evil and self-destruction. Blues considered the opportunity to mess with his plans to be a good thing simply for that, and any he destroyed were that many fewer units that his siblings would have to contend with as well.
