So for whatever reason the wi-fi on my campus won't let me use the internet, I have no idea why and the guys at the computer lab didn't know why (their advice was for me to download Chrome, which I did, still didn't work) it's not that big of a deal. I just go on the internet at school to kill time between classes or when I'm waiting for my ride so it's not killing me to not be able to get online for a couple of hours
But I do get bored, so I want to download some simple games to kill time onto my laptop that I can use without internet access; can anyone recommend a site I can download safely from? Don't say Steam because I can only afford free games and I've looked at the free games on Steam, none of them fit my interests :/
And you don't mean piracy/emulation, which is certainly a possibility for but we can't go suggesting sites on here.

There are plenty of free/abandon-ware games, but don't know what would fit your interest.
You can download some emulators and games. Those work offline and are boat loads of fun.
Unless you caught a bad rom.
