Hello, Wolfbat here. Now, before I continue, I would like to say that this rp, and this rp ALONE, is the only thing I have time for on the guild. I will avoid participating in any new roleplays, and I will avoid making new ones as well. I have school, an art project, and a few after-summer things to deal with, so this will be all I have time for. I make this to keep myself busy in my small amounts of freetime and to keep people in the know that I'm still very much addicted to roleplay. :P
Now onto the roleplay.
The Plot and Setting
There is a city in the desert known as Sabaku. Rather than humans, this desert city is inhabited by a race of cat-like humanoids known as Feru. Each Feru is mainly born with short, earth-toned fur that is made to blend in with the desert, both day and night. Although, they are still vastly varied. They can be tan, sand-colored, orange, light brown, white, or cream...but they also come in dark shades such as dark clay red, dark brown, dark brownish-red, and even black. In Sabaku, every structure is made from reinforced red clay. The walls are very thick, and the houses are fairly simple. Save for Trade Routs, the city has little to offer in the ways of luxury.
Sabaku has many jobs for the inhabitants to take, but the city has been nicknamed "The city of Thieves" due to the high amount of crime. Sabaku still has a lot of security, but the thieves that constantly strike are so fast and powerful, they are difficult to capture.
Finally, there is the objective that all thieves seek. The city holds five precious treasures, several of religious value. They are so heavily guarded, even compared to the rest of the town, that no thief has successfully obtained any of these five treasures. Until now. A Feru of unknown identity has stolen the precious Sky Sapphire, which is said to hold the key to the heavens. The guards are all over town, looking to discover this Feru's secret identity. The Feru was reported to wear all black, and that it disappeared as fast as it had come, attaching to buildings through the use of a grappling hook. This Feru must be stopped, for the other four Great Treasures may be in danger.
The Five Sabakian Treasures
There are five treasures, all sought out by thieves everywhere.
The Sky Sapphire, said to hold the key to Sola, once was protected in one of the city's Churches. It has currently been stolen by an unknown Feru (Wolfbat9008)
The Sand Crown, once worn by "The King of Deserts" after it was passed down by Tygorus, the Feru God. Said to belong to the one true king of the desert, it lays safely guarded in the home of Sabaku's King.
The Dagger of Tygorus, once owned by Tygorus himself before he passed it down to a brave and worthy warrior. It is said to never miss it's mark. Protected in the King of Sabaku's home.
The Eye of Tygorus, said to have fallen to earth in the form of an emerald. Tygorus is said to have given a piece of himself to every Feru, and his eye is now the reason they have night vision. It is said that if this emerald eye is destroyed, the Feru race will change drastically. It is unknown where it is being protected.
The Idol of the Feru, a small Tygorus-shaped Idol that is said to allow one to communicate with the god Tygorus. It's whereabouts is unknown, but it is surely in a safe location.
The Religion is similar to Christianity, but in a more desert-like theme. Religion dictates that the world was created by an all-powerful Feru-like being with four arms and a forked tail. This Feru, named Tygorus, is said to have the fur color of a tiger-striped reddish lion, and supposedly will decide who goes to "Sola" (Basically Heaven) and who goes to "Ravaka" (Basically Hell) upon death.
Feru are described above. They are basically Khajiit from Skyrim, desert-faring and all. Ones with tiger-striped fur or lion-esque manes are commonly guards and religious figures, while others simply do every other job, from making clothing to caring for domestic animals.
If you are going to play a Feru (and it's a good chance you will), it is important to act how your people typically do. A good way to do this is to say common phrases that every one says, similar to how you'd say "Bless you" or "God bless your soul". Most good phrases are along these lines: "May Tygorus watch over you!" "May you rot in Ravaka!" "May you find peace in Sola." "Tygorus welcomes you!"
Wildlife of Sabaku
Sabaku has plenty of life hiding in the dunes, though most of it consists of small prey animals, hyenas, wild dogs, and reptiles. The reptiles are in many forms, and serve as transportation. The hyenas and wild dogs are often hunting pets. The reptiles are the following: Allisaur (Mix between a short-muzzled alligator and some kind of bulky dinosaur. Serves to pull carts or be ridden on with a saddle.), Bladetail (A monsterous reptile that is used as an attack animal. About big enough to ride on, though spikes make it difficult.), Snakes and Large Iguanas (Both used as house pets that both protect and comfort), Desert Hares, hawks and chickens(Used as a common food source), large rats (Pests, occasionally eaten), Hyenas and Wild dogs (both used as hunting dogs).
The food consists entirely of certain hardy crops, meat and a few desert plants. Cactus Juice is frequently used as a cooking tool.
Many nearby towns often help trade things like silk, water, imported foods, and even new animals.
Because of the high crime rate, Sabaku has many guilds formed so the thieves can have better chances at their heists. These guilds are: The Sun-Claws (Works best in plain Daylight, one of the more easy-to-get-into guilds), The Moon-Skins (Works best at night, one of the more easy-to-get-into guilds), The Steel-Hawks (Most untrustworthy, but they will get you what you need), The Bladesnakes (Has the most gear, very expensive and "privileged" guild), and The Sand-Stalkers (By far the most stealthy).
Sabaku has a network of underground tunnels that run underneath the city. The Underground is where many thieves hide during the day.
All this came to me in a dream and a series of Steam Chat roleplays. I hope you guys have some interest. And I will be playing the role of the "Master Thief", unfortunately. My character will have stolen the gem for a surprisingly good purpose. Hope there's no hard feelings.
