May I Have This Dance? (Closed)
Moving finally came and went for the Buckingham family. Her parents relocated to another city and state. Emma never understood why her parents relocated. They claimed it was because of the better job offers, yet her parents seemed happy with the previous jobs they held. Emma had to leave everything behind, including her lifetime friend Rae. She grew up the small town, knowing everyone, helping her community, and having lots of friends around her. Her favorite part was being with Rae. The once long promise they made together seemed to be distanced. Emma left like she betrayed her best friend, and hope nothing would ruin it.
Emma finish unpacking her room. She ended up throwing a lot of stuff away. She didn't want to be reminded of her previous life. They only few things she kept was pictures of Rae and her, all of her books, and her computer. She have one special thing hidden under her bed. It was everything Rae had ever gotten her. She slide down onto the floor near her bed, and pulled the card board box out from under neath her bed and placed it into her lap. She sighed for a moment and placed her hand on top of it. Memories fulled her mind, yet none of it was making her feel any better.
She opened the box and glared at the items in side. Rae's first guitar pick, but she turned it into a necklace. She wanted something close to her heart. She slid the necklace over her head and let it dangle. She pulled her hair out from behind the necklace and looked back into the box. She picked up a new photo of them both at the beach together. It was one of her favorite places to be together. They were squeezed together while trying to take the picture. Her hair was all over the place, and he was smiling as big as he could. That was the last thing they did together before Emma left the state.
She placed the picture back into the box of items. She closed the box and slid it under her bed. After fixing her bed up, she laid on it for a moment, before realizing she had a Skype call to make with him. A smile slid onto her face. She popped up and sat at her computer. While logging in, she started to get nervous. Was he online? Would he be online? Would he even want to talk to her? Negative thoughts ran through her head as she started to log into Skype. "Please be on, please be on Rae!" She mumbled. When Skype finally pulled up, Rae was online. She relaxed for a moment and smile. She clicked onto his name and waited for him to pick up on the video call.
