Accepting new characters. Multiple spots open.
The IC Thread.
It has been a few months since the outbreak of the zombie virus. Since then, all has fallen to Hell. The virus spread like wildfire among the populace. Within weeks what had once been the great United States of America, had become nothing. The government ultimately destroyed itself in the end. With no governing party or authority telling the population what to do, they slowly died off. By the time winter had begun, the majority of the population was gone. And now the winter has come. The frigid winter temperatures have chilled anything and everything to the bone. With the winter comes the unpredictability of the amount of snow. This year a new blanket of snow greets a person every morning. The birds have already flown south, save for a few unlucky ones. And most animals are now in hibernation. Solid sheets of ice cover all bodies of water, and many of the city streets. The occasional winter rain works it's way every few weeks. The low temperatures cause cars to stall and fail. Hypothermia is rampant in those who are unwilling to bundle for the season. The Minnesota winters have always been brutal, now add a new variable.
The living dead.
Two Harbors, Minnesota. This city and surrounding woodland will be the initial setting for the story and where all of the characters begin. Duluth is a popular vacation spot in Minnesota. If 40-60% of the characters were there during the outbreak for vacation, that would be acceptable. I would also assume that the rest of the characters would also have been living in Minnesota, passing through, or purposely heading north to avoid the walkers.
Episode One - Current.
"Together We Stand"
A few months ago an unnamed outbreak began to spread throughout the continental United States. At first they thought it was contained to the United States, it was later discovered to be a world wide epidemic. Now the frigid grasp of winter reaches across the country. Northern Minnesota, a place usually seen as a vacation spot, is now a deadly survivalists nightmare, but also somewhat of a safe haven against the living dead. The living dead are severely effected by frostbite and hypothermia. Though the pain does not deter them, the freezing of their skin in the low temperature slows them. Two Harbors, a small town north east of Duluth that was once a popular tourist destination when in the area, is now a beacon of hope to those who dwell there. The small population has largely been converted over to the side of the living dead, but there are those who remain alive. Some ended up in Two Harbors on accident (whether it be wandering through or a vacation gone awry) and others by design.
And now the story begins...
• There will be changes made to the OOC thread periodically, sometimes even on a regular basis. Please keep up with it. The more you know... and what not.
• Two paragraph minimum per post. If a post has dialogue as the main content, then perhaps one should consider a collaborative post.
• I will remove any characters of people who are not following the rules. Do not act surprised when I do so, because I will give you ONE warning.
• By joining you are expected to help take the RP somewhere, keep things moving. We're not looking for players that just want to hop on for the ride. We’re looking for players that want to grow and add onto the story. Take the initiative. I understand some characters are "followers" by nature, but others should not.
• There will be violence, foul language, and many other things in this Roleplay. That being said, I do not want to see any sex scenes unfolding in my thread. Romance, fine.
• There will be a minimum level of activity for each of the players here. If you stop posting, I'll send a PM and then wait two days. After two days, the character will be gone and a spot opened. It would be best to let me know if you plan to disappear or quit.
• Realism will be a requirement. I understand this is a Roleplay and we are creatively writing, but it is better this way. Character's will be injured, that'll make the story more interesting. Ammunition at this point will be limited, as well as guns.
• I encourage plot ideas and character ideas being thrown out here into the OOC. If you do not like a certain idea, be polite when bringing it up. Let's avoid any unnecessary arguments.
• Punctuation, grammar, spelling, and everything in between. Need I say more?
• No character's will be starting with a firearm of any kind.

Accepted Character Sheets
Character Name: Matilda Porter
Character Age: Twenty-four
Character Gender: Female
Character's Moral Alignment: Middle of the road - she hasn't exactly come across anyone who isn't a cannibalistic freak since the outbreak, at least, not for long.
Character Personality: Matilda is very paranoid by nature causing her to be extra vigilant, taking extra measures to ensure her safety and survival. She is wary and incredibly slow to trust people, initially appearing to be afraid of strangers around her. To the few who do earn her trust, however, she grows very close to them, forming a bond between the two parties. To those who she has a bond with, she stays as close to them as possible, and is incredibly reliant of them - almost like a child to it's mother, but she is also protective of them, and will often put herself in the line of fire to protect them. However, it doesn't take much to break the said bond, as she is incredibly sensitive, and very persistently holds grudges against people who she feels have wronged her.
Physique: Refer to this image.
> Small bust
> Average waist
> Low hip flare
> Wide hips
Character's Physical Appearance:
Pre-Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: Matilda was born and raised in Minnesota, her parents owning one of the hotels in Duluth. Matilda lived in the hotel, and eventually gained full-time employment in the hotel's kitchen. Needless to say, a hotel isn't a good place to be when an outbreak hits - it started in the dining room during dinnertime, on a night where Matilda was doing the most of the cooking. This caused Matilda to think that it was her that caused the outbreak, sending her into a spiral of guilt. Matilda fled the hotel, unsure of where she was going - she never left Duluth before, having no need to. She eventually found herself in Two Harbors, taking shelter in a storage container at what used to be a construction site.
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: Matilda hardly left her new "home," boarding it up from the inside, unless she went out to scavenge for food and other necessities. Seeming as she hardly left her shelter, Matilda rarely came across other survivors - but when she did, they eventually (or sometimes very quickly) turned, giving her no choice but to kill them to preserve her own life, dumping the bodies outside of her container. Matilda usually doesn't stray far from her home, in a paranoia that it'll be taken over or looted, and will only be out for a maximum of a few hours. She keeps warm by covering herself in clothes and blankets that she "steals" from department stores (or, what's left of them), and drinks water from the lake after she had boiled and cooled it for safe measures. Matilda scavenges for food throughout the section of the town she stays within, sometimes having to resort to eating walker meat, after cooking (and sometimes overcooking just to be sure) the infected meat in order to kill the germs and infection inside.
> Cooking (but she refuses to cook for other people in fear of killing them)
> Minor first aid (holds a first aid & first responder certificate - at least she did before the outbreak).
> Paranoid Personality Disorder (PPD).
> Atypical depression - developed with a heavy weight of survivor's guilt.
> Unintentional self-harm injuries from hatchet - treated
> Hatchet (obtained from emergency case in hotel)
> 4 days worth of rations.
> Duvet/Doona (stolen from store)
> Tin kettle (also stolen from store)
> Incomplete first aid kit (stolen from pharmacy)
Character's Current Location: In one of the storage units left at the incomplete oval in Two Harbors.
Character Name: William McCoy
Aliases, Nicknames, Etc: Will, McCoy
Character Age: 22
Character Gender: Male
Character's Moral Alignment: Neutral, though he leans towards good often.
Character Personality: When it comes to many things, William is only out to help himself or the select few that he likes. If placed into a group setting however, things change. His actions become solely group minded, whether good or bad. If he thinks it is in the best interest for the group, he will almost certainly do it or attempt to. He is very quick to judge and is very biased on many things. William is also a very quick thinker, and therefor makes his decisions at a very fast rate. That being said, not all of his quick decisions are good ones. His behavior can be erratic at times, and he is very unpredictable. William is very confrontational which is a bad combination with his short temper. To those he trusts, he can be very loyal but one bad move and suddenly William is distrusting of you. Despite all of these things, William can be very good with people.
Weight: 210 lbs.
Physique: William is very well built. His body is lean but muscular.*
Character's Physical Appearance:*
Pre-Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground:*
Growing up before the virus spread was a decently easy task, life in general was. The family William was born to was based out of a small township near Saint Paul, Minnesota. Both his mother and his father worked, so around the age of 10 he was left to his own devices. That being said, he never developed parental issues because of it. The McCoy family was an upper middle class family, they could afford mostly anything they needed and more. Schooling was very easy for William. Not only was he of average intelligence (meaning he breezed through under the radar easily) but he was also a school athlete. William was never the star player for his high school team, but he prided himself on making the team all four years. Playing ball and having good grades was a good combination for William. Once out of high school William took a scholarship to University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) where he played for their basketball team and also studied law. His goal was not to become a lawyer, but to become a police officer.
During his time in Duluth, William took many trips around the surrounding area and small surrounding towns. During these trips he made many new friends, one in particular was Karl. The team had a game, not a rivalry game, in Duluth. They won, the score was not important. Afterwards William went to drink at a bar. A few players and fans for the other team were also there. They were all drunk, prideful, and fueled by anger. William did his part by trash talking some of the opposing players and fans, leading to a fight. The only other person with William was his friend Paul, also a player, but also very scared. Paul took off, William stood his ground. Things were not looking good for William. Then Karl swooped in, a city kid who had a crazed rage. William doesn't remember much of the fight other than Karl fighting off a few of the people, then producing a firearm. It was four years later that the virus began to spread.
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: William was in Duluth when the virus began to spread. Word did not reach anyone that far north until a few days after the first outbreaks. The downtown areas of Minneapolis and Saint Paul were already overrun, and the surrounding towns were soon to fall. The first thing to enter William's mind was to head back to the cities to find his family, but he could not find a way back down to Saint Paul. A few more days passed and the streets of Duluth were crawling with walkers, William decided it would be best to head north. William headed north, and on the free way met Karl by chance. The two of them continued northwards, interacting here and there with people that crossed their path. Now the two are hiding in the Grace Baptist Church, in the town of Two Harbors.*

From then oh his brother helped him get back onto his feet giving him a place to stay, A job and someone to turn to when he needed it. Matt never touch the bottle again after that day climbing his way back up from the bottom slowly with the help of his brother. He has a lot to prove about being a better man, A different man.
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: (How he/she survived for the months leading up to winter, and why he/she is in Minnesota unless previously stated) When the outbreak started Matt, His brother, Sister in law and there son where at home doing what they normally do. The news told them to stay inside because of some sort of infection, They thought it best to stay inside at least for a little while thinking that the infection wasn't all that bad and the new was just blowing things out of proportion again.
It didn't really get real until a women started screaming for help in the street just outside when Matt and his brother went over to the window they were met with a grizzly sight. The women's attackers were biting into her while tearing at her skin. Matt puked in a nearby plat at the sight while his brother decided to go and help her, To this Claire, Matt's sister in law, Pulled Brian, His brother, away from the door stopping him from going outside the look of fear spread across her face.
The next few days where spent securing there home blocking off any place the infected could get in. Even with Matt and Brian making runs to the nearby stores it wasn't long before they ran dry of all there supplies. Matt, Brian and Claire got together one night to decide there next move, There plan was to head towards Claire's parent's cabin making a stop in Two Harbourers to stock up for the journey. It was decided then, It didn't take them long to pack up the car Matt and Scott, His nephew, Hauled up in back and his Brian and Claire in front.
It all seemed to be going well all the stooped cars where on the other side of the road making it look like one hell of a traffic jam, They had to swerve round the odd car or walker but it was fine so far. About a mile or two outside of two harbourers they came up to an over turned lorry causing them to stop, After taking a look around it there seemed to be noway around and they didn't have enough gas to turn back now. Deciding to go ahead on foot they all climbed out and squeezed around the lorry as they did the thing started to budge slightly Brian being the last one got his foot stuck, All there noise had attracted the attention of close by walkers who where now shuffling towards them. Brian looked his brother in the eyes and told him to go but to make sure his family was okay. It didn't take Matt log to see the state of his brothers leg and he knew Brian wasn't going to make it out alive and so did his brother who was shouting at him to go now before its too late. Matt knew the only way out was to leave his brother and he owed he so did as he asked and save his family. Matt managed to get Claire and Scott to safety just inside two harbours into an abandoned apartment building where he was now trying to calm Claire down.

Character Name: Eyþór Ingi Grímsson
Aliases, Nicknames, Etc: (Only in America) Grim. Don't call him Thor or he'll dislike you and not put much of an effort to help you.
Character Age: 18
Character Gender: Male
Character's Moral Alignment: Grim prefers not to steal nor kill but will if he has no other choice.
Character Personality: Grim is hard to socialize with at first but once you get to know him and share interests with him, he will like you. He tries to be cheerful but doesn't show much emotions when facial expression comes into question.
Physique: Somewhat masculine though there is sign of that he had burned off fat in the past.
Character's Physical Appearance: Grim has full cheeks and high cheek bones. His eyes are gray-blue behind spectacles. He has very short and ruffled dirty blonde hair and unshaven face as he hadn't found a razor for months. He has a lean strong jaw and small ears. His lips are somewhat thin with a harsh cubid's bow.
Pre-Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: Grim is from Iceland. Before going to Washington DC for vacation with his older brother, he was studying electronic engineering and programming which he really enjoyed it as he was a social outcast as a kid. Although in his early teens he gained more friends and became pretty much a geek, playing tabletop games and so on. He even got a girlfriend when he was 17 though a couple of months before his birthday they had a falling out and broke up. To get his mind off the matter, his older brother, Olaf, invited him to a trip to Washington DC. Grim gladly accepted and before he knew it he was off to DC...a week before the pandemic.
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: The only real reason why Grim managed to survive the first weeks of the outbreak was because his brother was a big outdoorsman. They stuck together as they went past the walkers and foraged for food and weapons. While his older brother was much better at rationing, marksmanship and those sort of things, Grim could hotwire a car and fix them up, not to mention dismantling just about anything if he had a screw driver or just a pocket knife. Sadly however, Olaf died as he was foraging some anbandoned house as other, much more distrustful, survivors got there aswell and they were much better armed. They were the kind that would stick with each other and just each other, kill anyone before they got the good stuff. Grim was forced to run away, leaving his brother and the gun that he had, and has been alone ever since, using the skills Olaf taught him. His travels brought him to Minnesota.
Skills: Forage, Electronics, a natural marksman though has practiced little with handguns, mechanical repair, simple brawling, amateur cooking skills, improvising.
Addictions: Life. He is addicted to life and will unfortunately die from overdose.

Character Name: Sebastian Chambers
Aliases, Nicknames, Etc: "Dallas"
Character Age: 34
Character Gender: Male
Character's Moral Alignment: Dallas is good man who's just been around the block one too many times, made one too many mistakes, and has been numbed somewhat from them...but he is trying to pick up the pieces of the man he once was so that he doesn't fall victim completely to the darkness that is this new world.
Character Personality: He definitely isn't your typical big, strong, tough guy. Yes, he is all of those things, but behind that dangerous exterior lies a side of him that only few have really seen; a philisophical side...a poetic one. Dallas is a very intelligent man, though not many would guess that given his physical appearance and lifestyle, and he uses logic, wisdom, and street smarts side by side with his brute force. He has grown to find it hard to trust people or to get attached to them, especially in the new world, but once someone gains his trust, his respect, his loyalty is theirs forever. Though he does have redeeming qualities...he is still a dangerous man, and can be as mean, as violent, and as nasty as his reputation and his looks suggest, but that's only when something threatens the things or the people that he cares about; the very people that he would do anything to protect, whether it be harm, kill, or even die.
Weight: 203 lbs
Physique: It would be best described as burly, where he is muscular, but also a little on the hefty side.
Character's Physical Appearance: Dallas has long light brown hair which he normally ties up, a scruffy beard, and big blue eyes that, given his mood, can be as intense as the devil's and as kind as an angel's. He usually wears a dark green and blue plaid, flannel shirt, a fur-lined denim coat, old faded blue jeans, work boots, and has numerous tattoos covering his body, most are BoC related, and his right arm is completely sleeved out with an assortment of angels and demons.
Pre-Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: Sebastian Chambers was born in Dallas Texas to a lost cause of a mother; a 19 year old girl named Emily Chambers, a heroin addict who had wound up pregnant after turning to prostitution in order to support her drug habit. Emily always put her addiction ahead of her son, and there were many nights that Sebastian was alone...even as a small child; something that he came to resent his mother for. She never did what was best for him, though she always justified her "lifestyle" to herself by saying it was the only way she knew how to provide for her son, something that deep down even she didn't really believe. Growing up, Sebastian witnessed strange, random men coming and going, could here his mother and her clients in her bedroom, and at a very young age realized what was going on. He was a very bright kid, had all the potential in the world, and he no choice but to grow up fast; basically raising himself even at a young age. He taught himself how to make basic meals and microwaveable frozen foods younger than most kids would, but sometimes the alternative would have been just not eating, because there were many nights that his mother was either too doped out of her mind or too busy selling her body to strangers to even process the fact that she had a hungry kid at home that needed to be taken care of. For the first ten or so years of his life, Sebastian spent a lot of his time crying, feeling sorry for himself, and not understanding why his mother was the way that she was, but soon though tears and that sadness turned into nothing more than anger.
By the time he reached Junior High, Sebastian was capable of taking care of himself; everything from cooking to laundry, he had figured out how to manage, and he had grown to care only for himself, not even caring what his mother did anymore. At school, he was very capable of keeping his grades up, his teachers saw the potential he had, but he never applied himself in most of his classes as much as he could, other than in English class. He found early on that he loved to write, to dream, and he used his writing and fantasizing as ways to escape into his own little world where he had a new mom....and a dad, both whom loved him very much. Sometimes, he spent more time in his "day dreams" than in the real world, writing in his journals any chance that he got, or even just staring off into space and losing himself to the fantasy, he did anything he could to make himself forget where he was; something that got him into trouble sometimes, especially at school. He was a loner, never having attempted to make friends, and due to his large stature, quietness, and the few occasions where he had acted out against other kids, mostly attempted bullies, most people just left him alone...some even feared him, feeling as though he was a ticking time bomb just bound to go off at any minute. That rumor proved itself somewhat correct after he accidentally bumped into a kid in seventh grade and causing the guy to drop his books. The kid cussed at him, calling him a freak, and pushing him...and eventually Sebastian lost it, forgetting where he was and just giving in to the rage that he held pent up inside for all of these years; everything turned to red, and when Sebastian came to the kid was on the ground unconscious, some of his teeth were lodged into Sebastian's knuckles. That was the first time that he had ever witnessed that side of, that skill to simply turn everything off and lose himself to the anger; something would prove useful later on in his life. He got expelled from school due to the fight, and not wanting to spend more time at home, he hung around the bar down the road from their trailer, the owner eventually letting him come inside and watch TV, even occasionally paying the young man to help out with chores around the bar. It was there that he first picked up pool hustling, at first he only watched people play, but he eventually began playing and realized that it was something that he was very...very good at, and every now and again he would use that skill to hustle a few extra bucks out of the drunk customers in the bar.
When he was 16, his mother died of a heroin overdose, and he was left orphaned; not that it really effected him because he had basically been raising himself all of these years anyways. For a short time, the owner of the bar took him in, until the authorities were able to track down his biological father due to a genetically inherited heart murmur that Sebastian had suffered from at birth, something that had always possessed, but it had never really effected his health. No one on his mother's side had been diagnosed with such a condition, and it didn't take the authorities long to narrow down possible father candidates, seeing as there was only a handful of people in the states with the same exact kind of murmur. Child Protective Services contacted the prime candidates, and it wasn't long until someone stepped up, admitting the possibility of being the boy's father; a man named Ezekiel Logan. The man, who went by Zeke, had met the boy's mother Emily long ago, and they had "relations" one night after Zeke had offered to give Emily a ride home after finding her walking home on a rainy night. After official DNA testing proved the relation, Sebastian was released into Zeke's custody. It was then that Sebastian first met his father.
Zeke was a member of one of the fastest up and coming Motorcycle Club's in Texas, the Bothers of Chaos, BoC for short, and moved Sebastian into the club's clubhouse in Amarillo where he lived. The Brothers, as Sebastian soon found out, were an outlaw MC disguised as a legitimate custom bike dealership, but in reality the club used their inside lot to host illegal fight club's and gambling rings as their primary source of income. It was quite the culture shock to Sebastian, not only did his father prove to be a very loving man, despite his criminal ways, but his new life with the BoC was the first time he had ever experienced anything in terms of having a family. Though he was distant for the first year or so that he lived with his father and the club, having never really experience anything like what was going on, he eventually came around, and began showing interest in the club's activities. The other members of the BoC took to calling him "Dallas" because of where he grew up, and soon the nickname became one of endearment to him. It wasn't long until he expressed his desire to join the BoC, and despite his father's reservations, not wanting his son to live the same life that he did, Sebastian eventually convinced his father. His initiation into the Brothers was to participate in one bout in the Fight Club, and though he was nervous at first, the moment that first hit connected to his face, he turned everything off and letting the redness overtake him. Not only did he prove himself to the Brothers by participating in the fight, he won, truly earning his place as a member of the Bothers of Chaos. He continued to fight in the club, making money for himself and his brothers in the way of betting and most importantly...winning. It wasn't long until Sebastian was a valued member of the BoC, he had made his father very proud. Though, as it always seems to do, the darkness of life in an outlaw MC caught up to him, and eventually a situation escalated to the point that he had to kill someone in order to protect his fellow brothers; it was a bet gone wrong where a group from a rival gang tried to fix the fights...long story short, blood was drawn, and Dallas had taken his first life...something that he also proved to be very good at. From there, his years in the BoC taught him many things...and in his time there he was asked to do many things, some which he was not proud of.
Eventually, the BoC's rising empire in the Amarillo area came to an end, when local and federal police forces busted them on running an illegal gambling ring in Texas. Most members were taken into custody, but a few were able to escape, Dallas being one of them. He went on the run while he waited for things to calm down, but found out afterwards that his father was gunned down in the raid. For the next year and a half he spent his life on the run, moving from place to place, mostly hustling pool to get by, and not having a place to call home; all the way up until the world ended...
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: By the time that the "Zombie Apocalypse" destroyed everyone's world, Dallas had already had his life ripped from his very arms; in the form of the dissolving of his club and the death of his father. He had spent the last year and a half on the run and so when the "New World" came upon them...not much changed, other than the fact that now he wasn't just running for his freedom, but for his life. He had learned how to take care of himself at a young age, and so he already possessed a lot of the skills necessary to survive in a world where zombies walked the earth...most importantly, he possessed the numbness that one needed to do the things one had to do in such a world...horrible things. Most recently though, having exchanged his motorcycle for an abandoned pick-up truck, his BoC cut for a warm flannel shirt, and having gained a new friend in his dog Tiberius, Dallas heads towards Two Harbors Minnesota, the place of his father's birth, to fulfill the wishes of his father. It was something that he and his old man had talked about long ago, that Zeke wanted to have his ashes scattered in the Minnesota wind, over the town's lake, and though he didn't have the ashes of his father, Dallas was going to do everything he could to ensure that the only thing he did have of his father's would get its resting place their.
Skills: He has never considered himself to be good at very many things, but their are a few. He is very good at the game of pool, in fact he used to make a little money on the side by hustling people at it. He is also talented when it comes to writing, he enjoys to write songs, poems, and little short stories that he keeps in a series of journals in his pack. The thing that Dallas is best at is something that he has come to despise...killing. He is a natural when it comes to the art of taking lives, and his years in the BoC have done nothing but hone that sinful skill.
Addictions: He has claimed himself to be Straight Edge, swearing off drugs and alcohol after his experiences with his mother, and has never broken that promise to himself. Despite this, Dallas has two addictions...tattoos and writing.
Mental Illnesses: He hasn't been diagnosed with anything, but he suffers from guilt that eats at him and causes him to have insomnia.
Previous/Current Injuries: He has broken multiple knuckles, ribs, and has hyper extended his left knee, leaving it to get sore sometimes (especially in colder weather). Other than that he is relatively healthy.
Supporting Characters: Just a dog named named Tiberius that he found after the outbreak, he calls him Ty.
Current Inventory: As far as weapons go, Dallas only possesses three; a 10' black-bladed survival knife that he wears in a sheath on his left hip, a 3-and-a-half foot wooden club that he fashioned by hand, that he uses as his primary defense against Zombies, which he wears with a sling on his back, and a set of brass knuckles. He also possesses his series of journals in which he writes in daily; they hold ever song, poem, and story that he has ever written. Dallas wears a sturdy militaristic pack that he salvaged from a surplus store, which holds his basic survival provisions; food, water, basic medicines, etc., both he and his father's BoC cuts, and a bed roll that is fastened to the outside of his pack. In the back seat of his truck there is five 3-gallon gas cans, two of which have any gasoline in them.
Character's Current Location: Now, Dallas is driving northwards up Highway 61, about 5 minutes outside of town.

Character Name: Rose Amelia Stephens
Aliases, Nicknames, Etc: Mainly goes by Rose.
Character Age: Twenty four.
Character Gender: Female
Character's Moral Alignment: Good.
Rose can vary depending on her mood and her environment. Usually when allot of people are present she'll remain quiet and only really speak or give input when spoken to directly. Not because she dislikes people or socialising but more because of a confidence issue with being taken seriously. However if there are a small group of people she'll be fairly talkative and happily hold a conversation with you, so as long as she knows you and feels comfortable around you. Rose doesn't trust easy, especially in these times where people might kill you over a resource or push you out the door to save themselves. Because of these traits in her personality she can often be seen observing others either in their conversations or just in general, some might notice this as though she's in a trance or a deep train of thought. As a person Rose is fairly kind and relatively content when safely out of danger, however she can become defensive especially when she feels wronged. She does have a temper, although it's fairly mild and takes a consistent pushing to show itself.
In a situation where she or others might be in danger she becomes quite anxious quite quickly and can sometimes have a moments debate with herself whether to help or run. Recently she's managed to work on steeling her nerves during danger a bit more, although sometimes she still hesitates and will freeze up. In situations such as arguments between two or more other people she'll try and help to resolve it as best she can, but once again it depends on her mood and her environment. Rose doesn't believe in any kind of faith or religion, she chooses to be agnostic and although she may be open to the faiths and beliefs of others, she's determined to remain agnostic. Lastly to note Rose has a very prominent London accent.
Weight: 120 lbs
Character's Physical Appearance:
Pre-Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground:
Before the outbreak Rose was attending University to study Medicine with the hope of one day becoming a Doctor. She was a good student, studying hard and working all of her spare time to fund her expenses for the course as well as pay some rent towards her mother of whom she was living with. Like any student she had a close group of friends and an active social life on the weekends. Within her Universities course an opportunity arose for a bit or work experience abroad to a Medical Hospital in Minnesota called Lakeview, where she could learn about the differences in Medicine as America lacked an NHS equivalent and so had a different system and legal requirements. Of course she signed up for the trip, viewing it as a fun and valuable experience as Rose didn't intend to remain living in England after she received her degree.
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground:
Like most of the people caught during the outbreak, Rose didn't handle it well. She panicked, ran and screamed like everyone else, terrified of what was happening and why people with this infection had started behaving in the way they were. She hid inside a house on Fifth Street along with a family for the first month afterwards. She didn't know them, but they were happy to keep her safe with them while the chaos continued. They got by through scavenging from other houses that were empty or by picking from abandoned cars that were nearby, though the cars weren't preferred as there wasn't much cover from being seen by an infected. It was difficult, especially when the food began to run out and it seemed help wasn't coming. Eventually Rose had to leave the family as they were no longer able to keep her on what was left of the food. They gave her a little bit of food and water and the father fashioned a weapon for her. They were sad that it had to come to this, but she understood, for they had two young children to look after. Ever since Rose has been getting by through scavenging and hiding in abandoned houses.

Character Name: Jason Yan
Aliases, Nicknames, Etc: Jay
Character Age: 23
Character Gender: Male
Character's Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral. Won't betray anyone and is trustworthy, but won't hesitate to kill if threatened.
Character Personality: Jay has almost saintly patience; a virtue that the outbreak has only tempered, as the loud & stupid were the first to fall to the walkers. However, Jay is very much a loner, and avoids large groups of survivors due to several close calls with less scrupulous human beings. His aversion to crowds (both of people and walkers) makes him seem aloof and uncaring, when in reality he is just desperate to survive in an increasingly hostile world.
Weight: 170 lbs.
Character's Physical Appearance: http://image.toutlecine.com/photos/s...04-202-1-g.jpg
Pre-Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: Jay was the middle child of his 4 siblings, born and raised in Minneapolis. His family was lower-middle class, his mother and father both working 2 jobs to ensure a reasonable quality of life for their family. Since both of his parents were hardly home, he had a major hand in raising his younger siblings, and thus became very protective of them. He would constantly get into trouble with the school district for protecting his kid brother from bullies, and learned how to fight as a result. This need to protect his siblings soon turned into a membership at the local boxing gym. When he graduated highschool, Jay entered into the Minneapolis Amateur Boxing League. An impressive prospect, Jay had a 3:1 win/loss ratio, and a mean right uppercut to show for his experience with his fists. Jay was on the fast-track to professional boxing... that is, until the Outbreak happened.
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground: Returning from a successful match (TKO in the 3rd round) to his Minneapolis home, Jay opened the door expecting to see his family. What he encountered were two ravenous walking corpses that used to be his parents, and piles of viscera and guts that used to be his siblings. Nothing decays your mental state faster than your family suddenly turned into a canape. Jay put his parents out of their misery with what was on hand (a large butcher's knife), and left in a state of complete despair. He considered turning himself in, but then realized that Minneapolis was a warzone, complete with gov't sanctioned firebombings in the streets. Jay found a bug-out-bag and a kukri in a camping store, appropriated a dirtbike from a half-consumed corpse and fled Minneapolis, heading northward on Highway 35, hoping to hit the Canadian border. After siphoning gas from various cars in Duluth (a skill learned from action movies), Jay's dirtbike broke down in the small town of Two Harbors. Unable to fix the bike and/or go anywhere in the heavy snow, Jay holed up, hoping to survive until the bitter winter abates. He'll need to find a drive-chain from the local mechanic's and snow tires if he's going to leave this deathtrap of a town.
Skills: Jay has excellent hand-to-hand combat skills due to his experience as an amateur boxer. He also has great endurance and speed, but is only of average strength. Jay has knowledge of basic first aid (what he gleaned from fight doctors), and good survival intuition. He's got some experience scavenging from stores and homes, and has basic technical knowledge (minor repairs).
Addictions: Jason Yan has a tobacco dependency, and smokes approx. 1-3 cigarettes a day.
Mental Illnesses: Jay has minor PTSD from the death of his family, and absolutely refuses to speak of them to the average survivor.
Previous/Current Injuries: Has a major scar on his right calf when his leg was gouged by the dirtbike's snapped drive chain. Fully healed.

Aliases, Nicknames, Etc:
Character's Moral Alignment:
Marlo isn't what anyone would call a decent individual with ambition, doggedness and mental toughness being his very greatest traits whilst ruthlessness, callousness and compulsiveness are just a few of his many negative ones. He is an extremely cynical person who tends to always look out for himself first and foremost, with the extremely rare act of kindness for one reason or another being the only thing that ever gets him anything close to any kind of redemption.
In a difficult situation Marlo is usually calm, typically busy thinking of a way or two to get himself out of trouble. In Marlo's twenty two years there has only ever been one person that he knew without doubt he wouldn't kill for his own personal gain, that person being his older step brother.
Marlo isn't a tank but he isn't scrawny either. He's well built but has never been into pumping weights or rigorous exercise and for that he's not heavily muscled but lean and in shape. He is relatively tall, standing at 6'1. Head wise he keeps his hair short and is typically clean shaven. His most distinctive feature is the scar on his face which runs from the edge of his right jaw all the way up to his right nostril.
Clothing wise Marlo is wearing a black leather jacket over a baggy hooded jumper and a t-shirt. He's wearing a pair of baggy jeans and two pairs of thick socks, with designer sneakers over those.
Pre-Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground:
Like most borderline psychopaths Marlo had a fucked up and traumatic childhood, being both sexually and physically abused up to the age of ten. He was brought up in a group home until the age of six when he was adopted and things got even worse after that. His mother wasn't too bad, at least up until Marlo's daddy left her and she turned to drugs and a shitty new boyfriend for comfort. It didn't take the man long to start abusing Chris; Marlo's older brother and eventually Marlo himself.
Chris knew what the abuse could do to a person though and he had grown to deeply care for his younger step brother. So when Marlo was ten and started getting abused himself Chris quickly put a violent stop to it. The protection via murder cost Chris his freedom and their mother a boyfriend, however heinous he was. Luckily for the brothers Chris only got five years in a juvenile detention centre due to the circumstances and his age. He was out in two.
During his brothers two year absence things were at least somewhat better at home, or at the very least Marlo wasn't being sexually abused any more. His mother however was still just as useless and now had fallen even deeper into drugs. One of the first things Chris did upon his release was follow through on a contact he was given in jail and got himself a job running a corner. It was a dangerous game but it had perks, like good money and a house hook up. The house was what he really wanted, it meant he had some place to take the now twelve year old Marlo away from his careless mother.
He even hooked Marlo up with a job on the corner too, knowing good help was hard to come by, and trust worthy help even harder. The two made quite a team and soon enough built up a decent corner, soon having to re-up three to five times a day.
Two years later and Chris and Marlo had built themselves quite the crew, their combined ruthlessness and smarts making them an independent force to be reckoned with. Occasionally someone would try to set up shop nearby but their crew would always run them off, sometimes with simple yet efficient fear or a straight up beating and other times with the murder of the leader of the crew whom had tried to step up.
Yet again it came time for them to move up in the world. One corner wasn't enough any more, their crew was too big and too fierce to get by running only one corner. Soon they spread out, taking corner after corner with brute force and eventually they even took the cities projects, but it cost, Chris was shot simply because he got overconfident and took a walk to the store without protection one day. He wasn't killed, not then anyway, but he killed his aggressor and passed out from the bullet wound he took.
By the time he awoke he was handcuffed to a hospital bed, because of his juvenile murder and the fact that they had him with the murder weapon on scene Chris was done. He knew he would see life, and that meant death because the prison was now controlled primarily by the people he and his crew had been killing and stealing from.
He wasn't wrong, he was sent to prison and less than a year into his ten year sentence he was stabbed to death in the prison yard. Over the next few years Marlo ran and kept the corners and paid thousands of dollars finding out who exactly had killed his brother and when they were getting out of prison. Not too long after their releases they were murdered, usually brutally.
Marlo was considered ruthless by most even before his brothers death, but after it he was on a whole other level. He didn't need to do his killing any more, he had people to do it for him and he used it to it's full potential. He had people killed for dozens of different reasons, them ranging from someone trying to take a corner to them simply saying something negative about him.
By the time he was twenty two and the outbreak happened Marlo ran the majority of the Minneapolis drug trade and had over a million dollars in assets.
Post Zombie Apocalypse Back Ground:
When the outbreak happened Marlo was just as shocked as anyone, but his connections as a drug lord in the city were still worth something. He had a gun connection and the fact that he had immediate access to firearms, cars and one or two strongholds meant a lot in the early days of the apocalypse.
Marlo and a group of around nine of his best hitters stuck together in the first month, though most of them weren't cut out for the walking dead. Murder was murder, people were easy to manipulate and typically got scared when you put a gun barrel in their face, never mind put a round in their chests. The walkers didn't and that caused the demise of a quarter of the group rather quickly.
They thought simply putting rounds into them would stop the things, by the time they realized they were wrong they were bitten. Marlo survived though. His muscle always took it upon themselves to go at the threat first, he simply observed and learned from their often fatal mistakes. By the time it was just him he had learned a lot and had come to grips with his new seemingly infinite foe. His group had decided to head on out of the city and go to somewhere far less populated but still well supplied. Only Marlo made it to Two Harbors.
Marlo has been a gangster nearly all his life and as profitable as the lifestyle was it didn't leave him with a lot of skills. He's accurate with all manner of handguns and is a ruthless killer but aside from that he isn't all that talented. If there's one thing Marlo is good at though it's being intimidating. The boy was called the spawn of the devil by the cops for a reason. Lastly Marlo isn't a bad tactical planner when it comes to small squads but he's still getting used to his enemies being mostly already dead.
Marlo made it a point to never drink or do drugs before the outbreak, believing that they could easily lead to the death of someone at his point in the gangster profession. If there's one thing Marlo is addicted to though it's respect. He craves it and is angered if he isn't shown any. Years of being the number one player in Minneapolis has only reinforced his need for it. He wont stand for being bad mouthed or disrespected in any way really.
He's never been diagnosed with any officially, but he does show numerous signs of psychopathy.
None as of right now.
