Ghosts of Orion (Operations C)

Special Operations Group, Detachment Gamma
Acrae city, Tyras (Gemini Iota system)
Colonel Samuel "Kingpin" Lorenzo, commanding officer of the Ghosts of Orion, wasn't the least bit surprised when word reached him that a coordinated terrorist attack had left Earth's embassy in the Tau Ceti system in ruins. After all, he had been keeping close tabs on the more fanatical elements of the Separatists for some time now, and knew that a splinter group would eventually take action against the Earth Government. But what he hadn't known was who would claim responsibility for the attack, when it would take place, and what the intended target was. If the Earth Security Council hadn't ordered him to adopt a wait and see policy though, and allowed the deployment of his Ghosts, the Colonel felt confident that he could have found the right answers. That he could have stopped the attack wholesale. That he could have stopped the deaths of so many.
But that was in the past, and the Colonel didn't have the luxury of dwelling on what could've been. Instead, he had to dedicate himself to stopping the next attack, and found himself in need of an intelligence network that could provide the Ghosts with mission relevant data. To help develop and expand such a network, Lorenzo wanted a team of Ghosts to pave the way for the Earth Government's own intelligence officers, allowing him to divert personnel elsewhere. The team would have to pick up on what little information the Colonel and the Special Operations Support branch had already gathered though, which wasn't much either. It's members would have to be masters of deception, adept infiltrators and clandestine in nature too. Anything short of that, and they risked botching everything.
Designating the detachment of Ghosts Gamma team, the Colonel would spend days searching through his personnel files and running background checks on each prime candidate, singling out just four Ghosts for the team. Andrew Morgan, callsign Echo, was whom the Colonel felt was best suited to lead the team. His physc profile made him out to be steadfastly loyal to Earth, level headed under pressure and ruthless against his enemies, which was exactly the type of man Lorenzo wanted in charge of Gamma. Kamiko Mizudori, callsign Dolos, was the next Ghost the Colonel decided to add to the team. She was an obvious choice for the team, of course, given her multilingual status and her extensive knowledge in the art of torture. Walter Brown, callsign Waldo, on the other hand had not been an obvious choice. It was only after rereading his dossier did he finally accept Waldo as the third member of the team, his reluctant to accept Waldo stemming from past experiences with the CIA. Michael Kallen, callsign Eden, was also a file the Colonel initially passed over. But after musing that the spies could use some extra security and firepower on the team one day, Lorenzo ultimately ended up accepting the former Navy SEAL into Gamma.
In sharp contrast to the previous two detachments of Ghost, the Colonel decided to keep Gamma team in the dark about each other and the specifics of their new assignment. They would be kept separate from each other, given only vague instructions on where to go. It wouldn't be until they arrived at a safehouse on Tyras, a world on the border of what was considered frontier space, that they would actually meet each other and be given further details regarding their new assignment.
