Don't Blink ((SpirtWolf506 and Firetigress3))
Evelyn hummed to herself happily, tapping away at the small laptop situated, in well, her lap. There really was no reason not to be happy! She hadn't seen that horrible abomination of a creature in a while now, and that was enough in itself! Well, that, and the fact she had found someone she could share the whole ordeal with. He had experienced the same sort of thing she had, the nightmares, and all. It made her feel... Connected, or something like that. Like she wasn't having to experience it all alone. It was a nice feeling, like you weren't alone in the World. After all, the World was a pretty big place, billions of people out there, ya know.
He was an older guy, though not by much, named August. She would admit, she had almost laughed when they had met. His face did not match his name, because, well, have you seen him? Oh, no, of course not... but the man was hot, she was telling you, and she couldn't help but feel his name was slightly girly. She constantly teased him about it once their relationship turned from acquaintances into friends. If asked, she would say they were best friends, especially after being in the asylum together for so long now.
Looking up from her computer screen, she glanced at the man sitting across from her on the other bed in the "jail cell". It wasn't really a cell as much as it was an under-furnished room, but it was almost the same. Two beds with clean cots on top of them, along with a dresser/desk for each inmate, and then a few personals around the room. Showers, toilets, whatever was located in the public ones just down the hall. Relatively clean, but could be better.
Security was lax in the place, rarely did they lock cells anymore, the bed she was sitting on wasn't really hers, after all they would never allow a girl to sleep with a guy. Blah, blah, blah, not right or whatever. Then again, perhaps she should reword that. They locked the front doors and all, but cells pretty much never got locked unless they were in a sort of detention.
Evelyn sighed, closing her laptop and pushing it aside. "Hey, hey... August?" she didn't wait for him to answer, "What 'cha doing? Let's do something fun! I dunno, a game or something!"
