I Fear I Might Break [xfingertips x Multipararocks3]
The squeal of the name came from a relatively small girl, for being a junior in high school. Thin, average height, and extremely outgoing. Her hair a soft orange and eyes a happy green. She had squeal so loudly because today happened to be her first day back to school after being on vacation with her father for a week and a half. Now Cory, he was her best friend. The one true person she believed she would always be able to trust. She told him her deepest and darkest secrets. A wide smile spread across her face as he turned to face her. She could see it written all over his expression. He was just as excited to see her again. Though they had been talking to each other for what felt like the entire trip, she was still excited to see his face again.
She ran up to him, giving him a huge hug. She couldn't believe how much she had missed him. A week felt like years to her. She grinned widely as she pulled away from him. "How was the last week with out me here? Awful? Boring? Lonely? Don't answer that, I already know it was." She nudged him with her elbow slightly. She then hooked her arm in his. "It's time for breakfast Cory! We still have about 40 minutes before class starts." With another gentle nudge she pushed him towards the cafeteria.
He followed her, just like he always did. How couldn't he? She was his best friend. The one person that truly understood him as a person. He was very thankful for that. He smiled gently as they approached the line for breakfast. She let go of him as she closely examined the choices. Egg and sausage muffin? Or breakfast pizza? She hadn't had either in a while and was starving, but ultimately decided on the breakfast pizza. It was already making her mouth water.
After grabbing her apple juice she went and paid for it and headed to her regular seat. She checked behind her to make sure Cory was coming. She smiled brightly at him. It was so great to be back in the states again. It was great to see all her friends again. London was just way too far away. Though she did learn a lot from her dad over there, also from the English folk. She had quite a bit of respect for them.
She tucked a leg up against her as she nibbled at her breakfast pizza. She sighed happily, then glanced at Cory. "So... anything exciting happen that you weren't able to tell me over the phone?" She grinned a bit and waggled her eyebrows. She didn't have any really interesting stories from London. None that Cory would be interested in anyway. He just kind of shrugged at her and rested his chin in his hand. She furrowed her eyebrows a bit, knowing something was up.
Cory took a deep breath, "I met someone Izzy." He smirked a little and glanced at her. Izzy grinned widely. She dropped her pizza back on the plate and then wrapped her arms around his neck, embracing him in his second but not last hug of the day. She then sat back and giggled softly, extremely giddy from the announcement. She then probed him. "Who Cory?" He blushed a bit and turned to her. "Kevin..."
Izzy's eyes got wide. "Finally. I have been waiting for him to finally start talking to you... geez." She rolled her eyes. She had known that Cory was gay since they were young and able to understand what being gay actually meant. She accepted him either way. She didn't follow the same path, but she didn't care if he did. She put her hand on his shoulder. "Kevin and you would be so cute together!" She smiled and then put her attention back to the pizza. She nibbled at it happily, watching the people make their way in. The buses were dropping their kids off and others were walking in from their long trek to school. She hugged her kneed to herself as she continued to look out the window.
